Just a shout out to you Trogly, your knowledge of Gibson guitars interms of history and specs is amazing. You could be an ambassador for their company of some kind. Im surprised they haven't offered you a job, or any guitar manufacture could use your input on design playability and sound. Keep on Rocking in the Free World.....or what's left of it!

Hey now. I'm not one to be nosy. But you have too much stuff and it doesn't take a monkey genius too long to start tallying guitars in one's head. I know I won't get an answer yk or I'm not in need of specifs, but you can be vague. I'm an intelligent connect the dots uh...paint by numberrenaissance period painter. (Not really) what do you do trogly? Do you just do guitars or do you have a job. I can tell that's a fairly nice home for a young guy. And I'm a late starter and no one hugged as a child. I was beaten mercilessly and burnt with cigarettes until I fought back prior to being thrown thru a wall and called a liar for borrowing a friend's walk mam. Why you hiding.? My father adopted one.was an engineer but couldn't figure out why I had ran the head phone cord behind my shirt.. I've never had a good day, not one and I had a monitor of success Flippin guitars making a few bucks in each one and other items I'd dropshio *screw Anton Fookface, these ppl don't do nothing but route your sales thru there funnel. East to spot once you know how websites work...I've had an awful day, no one is kind to me. I just wanna know if you work at a place or you do this privately. Your content is king. I'm not trying to start trouble or stalk your shop. I just wanna know did you make your money on guitars or being a condom like me. 👍

The J. Jet is the perfect guitar for Gibson to do as their entry level guitar. They are simple unpretentious and stripped down but have a totally pro attitude. They could use solid colors so they can use up mismatched wood with ugly grain patterns and a maple neck to keep the costs down.

Some nice guitars today, love The Paul versions. Lots of Copper finish now on Fenders, or close to it, with "Aged Candy Apple Red" on the Player Plus series. And some news, apparently Fender Japan just released a Jazzmaster with CuNiFe Wide Range pickups (the real 'wide range' not the fake ones they made to look like them). Like to hear how they sound compared to AlNiCos.

An early 1970s SG (Deluxe?) in nice condition. What a pity it dates from the years where taste was half-forgotten at Gibson. That sub-Fender plastic control plate is really unattractive and cheapens the instrument. About the same as those SG 100s (etc) with the Melody Maker pickups. And although a Bigsby can look great on some Gibsons, including the classic single-cut Les Pauls, I've never been impressed with them on SGs. You can't beat the original 1961 style for the SG Junior, Special, Standard and Custom (with Maestro Vibrola where appropriate).

I still say my (matsumoku) Mij 79' Ventura Alpha Omega 100 series with Noahs Dove inlay on 5th frett and Jesus fish with Greek ixoye on the 12th frett and SOLID Mahogany and Brazillian rosewood fretboard is by far much superior to ANY gibson and especially the "the paul" it portents to "copy". 40 years of guitar here. Not a newb.
