If you keep hearing the same monster noise every time you go to the mines, that's a sign that you have found a monster spawner! Even though you could break it, it is a better idea to just leave it there and turn it into a farm! Which will give you infinite XP! Which if you ever get to enchanting, is very good!

You were very lucky to survive that Creeper attack. Not all blocks are created equal. Some are, 'softer', than others and are more susceptible to being destroyed when hit by an explosion. The hardest and most resistant block being obsidian, which is made by pouring water onto stationary lava. It requires a diamond pickaxe to mine it. As you've discovered, finding and smelting iron really opens things up for you in terms of production and the ability to survive better in the world, rather than having to hide every night in your house. Mobs spawn in case systems, and if you're close enough to one when mining, you can hear them through the walls. It's both good and bad, in that, with it being a cavern, it means better access to ores, but you have to deal with the mobs first and light your way as you go through the cave system.

They didn't make a surprise update for Minecraft's 15th anniversary. You just happened to start playing Minecraft when they were on the brink of releasing a new update. They try to release an update every year. And they always hype up the new update for at least half the year. Minecraft did have a 15 day long 15th anniversary celebration, but it's pretty much over now.

Hey, Scott! Happy 4th! WATER ELEVATOR: So, in minecraft, there's extremely complicated ways to make redstone elevators. I've literally never made one, because water elevators exist. Now, this isn't something you'll be doing immediately, but it is the best way to make elevators. So here's your crash course! To make one, you're going to need the following: 1x1 vertical shaft 1 soul sand 1 sand 1 kelp 5+ bone meal Soul sand can be obtained from the nether. You'll know you found them because when you walk on them, it slows you down. Kelp can be found in ocean biomes. What you do is....at the very bottom of the shaft, dig that block out and replace it with a sand block. Then, go to the top of the vertical shaft and put down a water source block at the top of the shaft. Once you've done all of this, go back to the bottom and put down a kelp in the sand. Use bone meal on it until the kelp has grown to reach the top of the shaft (bone meal can be obtained by killing skeletons and converting bones into bone meal). This converts all of the flowing water into water source blocks. Once you've done all of this, break the kelp at the bottom and replace the sand with soul sand. Voila! You've got yourself a working water elevator. A few notes: Since the water will probably leak at the bottom, surround it with glass panes (that aren't connected). Opt for colors that look nice (like white, or whatever matches your build). Glass panes that aren't connected allow you to walk around them. Also, this is an UP elevator only. If you want a DOWN one, I recommend just using a separate vertical shaft and placing water at the bottom to break your fall. Anywhere there's water in this game, it will 100% break your fall. Now, all of this is completely optional. But since you were asking about elevators, here you go!

@@letsplayeasymode It's worth mentioning, Soul Sand makes bubbles that go up (and will carry you up), but Magma Blocks (which are glowy half-melted stone blocks, NOT lava, which is it's own thing, confusingly) will make bubbles going down. However, Magma hurts when you stand on it, just a little. You have to crouch to avoid it. Other options for a downward elevator might be an empty shaft with water or a slime/honey block at the bottom to catch you. This is all basically mid-game stuff though.

When you have items just sitting on the ground/ floor, you only have so much time to pick them up. If that happens again, put a chest down ASAP and empty your inventory into the chest so you don't lose your items. Okay so what happened is, you left the door open and a creeper just walked right in and saw you and got close to you then boom. If you here a sizzle from a creeper it is about to blow up. So keep your ears open to recognize the sizzle so you can move away as fast as you can. They blow up when it is close to you.

EXPLORING CAVES: The cave systems in this game can be quite extensive. I recommend placing a crafting table at the entrance. You can even, perhaps, place down a chest and bed. You can use it as a "checkpoint," so to speak. It isn't too important...so long as you explore safely. You're honestly not carrying around enough torches in my opinion. I know others have said it, but it's typical for people to carry around stacks of torches. I usually carry around two stacks, myself (so...128). Since one coal (or charcoal) makes 4 torches, you can make two stacks with 30 coal/charcoal. It may seem like a lot, but that's also why fuel is a precious resource in this game. Continuing on with that thought, when you died due to the creeper, your first instinct should always be to place down the chest and fill it up with the items that dropped. Thankfully, the creeper didn't destroy your chest blocks (boy that would have been a mess). To that extent, if you were to die in a cave, you should know that you only have a certain amount of time to go back and pick up those items before they disappear permanently. This goes back to my earlier suggestion of placing a bed down at the cave entrance so you respawn there instead of way back at your base. As far as fighting the mobs...just be very careful until you're able to make iron armor and a shield. The game changes after that point. You're going to feel much stronger when you get your food going and you have armaments.

14:39 When a creeper explodes, only a portion of the blocks are dropped.
@mozeytown
@mozeytown 19 күн бұрын
Yes, with a creeper explosion, every block that is broken has a 50% chance to drop as an item (as if it was mined by the appropriate tool), and a 50% chance to just be deleted. So on average half the blocks will drop, but it can be more or fewer. Some other types of explosions do not delete any of the blocks they break, letting them all drop the same as if they were mined with the appropriate tool. HOWEVER, all explosions completely delete ALL dropped items within the blast radius - so if you have two explosions in quick succession, the second one will delete everything dropped by the first one.

44:58 The best thing you can make out of iron is an iron pickaxe. That will allow you to mine ores such as gold, (a resource that has many uses) redstone (for machinery) and the best of them all, DIAMOND (do I need to explain myself?) You have a great mine started. When you move your stuff downstairs, build chests first then move items from one to another. You don't have to crouch to make a double chest, just point at the floor next to the first one. Copper is really only useful for building. Gold makes very weak tools and armor. Make one iron pickaxe for digging diamonds, gold, and redstone only. Diamonds is the best tool and armor making materials until the nether realm you can upgrade the diamond. The bucket is a very important tool for exploring deep caves. Water is the easiest way to make an elevator. Water can be placed with a bucket and used to swim up and down from great heights when placed at a top of a cliff.

If you hear that HSSS followed by an explosion, it's 100% a creeper. the reason why the damage wasn't as bad is because cobblestone is slightly more blast proof than wood, and blocks like dirt aren't blast resistant at all. Objects when thrown on the ground either from the player dying or throwing their stuff on the ground (down on d pad), or in your case, an exploded chest, can only last for 5 minutes until they despawn (assuming you're close enough to load he area the stuff is in.)

IRON: Your first priorities for iron are a bucket and an iron pickaxe. Shears are second priority, but still very important (so don't worry, you didn't mess up). The shears will allow you to shear sheep, which will allow you to make beds freely. I would fence in a few sheep. I also saw that you have a lead in your inventory. I have no idea where you got it...but you can find a sheep that's far away from your base and drag it back into your fenced in area (once you make it) then breed your sheep. You can also shear leaves off of trees, and that looks nice to build with... I digress. Anyway, back to iron. Once you make a bucket, keep it safe in a chest when you're not using it. The same goes for an iron pickaxe. Your iron pickaxe should only be used to farm gold, diamond, and obsidian (you haven't seen it yet). Keep these items safe! Don't use your iron pickaxe on trash blocks so it doesn't break too soon! Once you're set on those items, feel free to make a shield and armor. Shields are amazing because they block the skeleton arrows. It allows you to approach them safely and take them out with your sword. Also...you can toss your wood sword and wood hoe in the trash (i.e. just drop them). They're taking up inventory at this point. Iron has several other uses, as well. I recommend (after all that) make yourself a stonecutter. You can polish your andesite and make it a better looking block (andesite/diorite/granite are all cosmetic).

Hey, I've been watching this series and it's been quite fun and refreshing. I'm also from the Subnautica series, but haven't ever commented Here are some tips and information: Iron is mostly used for practical stuff like tools, armor, buckets, shears etc... Copper excels in building (which is why you got tons) as you can make lots of different building blocks that slowly oxidize, giving you multiple colors to choose from. when building, you can treat blocks as colors, not materials. you don't have to make your basement with cobblestone. you can make it with planks, that andesite, or all that terracotta outside your house, or even bamboo blocks as long as you like how it looks. the only small difference is that some blocks explode more easily. You can actually make not just elevators, but even flying machines, big automatic doors, and even mini computers. it's just a very complicated system though, you can't just craft them. BTW, you should credit C418 in your video description as the music composer just incase, but I suspect whatever copyright issues you're having is people abusing the system. it happens to other small creators too.

BTW, explosions only drop some of the blocks they break, and break different amounts of different blocks. The most common source of explosions are creepers, especially early on, but other things that explode include TNT, Beds in the nether, and the "true" final boss of the game The Wither. At this point you're unlikely to encounter any of these other sources soon. To simplify it, you can expect any block that's exploded to drop the associated item about half the time. For example, if I blow up 50 stone blocks, I'll get back 25 cobblestone. If I blow up 10 wood blocks, I can assume I'll get back about 5 wood. Likewise, blocks will break at different rates based on an internal hardness score the game gives them. The hardest block in the game is Obsidian, which never ever breaks when exploded - however, it can only be found when you put water on a lava source block, or in ruined nether portals. You can only mine it with Diamond. So basically, covering your base in the stuff is kinda implausible. Stone is obviously harder than wood, which is in turn harder than dirt. That's why explosions will leave big craters in the ground in your garden, but only blew small holes in your floor and ceiling. Glass is pretty fragile, so explosions will wreck your windows. Water will also interfere with explosions. If you can't fight a creeper off, you might choose to flee into water instead, which limits their ability to hurt you and the blocks nearby quite a bit.

psssst, I'm gonna let you on on a little secret. Minecraft pros, don't mine their iron. Remember when I told you about how you can unalive iron golems to get iron? Well, Minecraft pros automate that process! In bedrock edition villagers will spawn iron golems if the village gets big enough. Get enough villagers in an area, and they will start spawning iron golems. Make the iron golems spawn in a stream of water to their doom, put a hopper under the unaliving chamber (a block that picks up items under it), make the hopper filter into a chest, and BOOM infinite iron! Look up a tutorial, but make sure it's on bedrock edition. Java iron farms work a bit differently, and will not work on bedrock edition! It's not too hard, but it does require some materials you don't have yet. And don't worry about the villagers getting angry, you're technically not the one unaliving the iron golems! And thus the villagers don't get angry! Most iron farms use lava to unalive the iron golems. The villagers just think that the iron golem is dying from a natural pool of lava. And so they don't raise their prices. But it's not like you're going to be trading with the villagers, so it doesn't matter anyway!

12:00 To help with this, especially when you're using a controller, put a pressure plate (That wooden thing you made on one of the very first episodes) on the floor inside each door. Don't put them outside because then mobs stepping on them will open the doors. But if you put them on the inside the doors will automatically close behind you every time you walk in. To answer what happened. You went outside and came back in you left the door open at 9:16. The creeper explosion didn't damage as much because every block has a kind of explosive resistance. Some blocks like dirt are softer and will be more damaged and things like wood and stone will be less damaged. There are materials you haven't found yet that are extremely explosion resistant that creepers cant even damage. Not sure you would want to use them to build though lol. They aren't very pretty looking. Oh and side note. Creepers do actually destroy SOME blocks. If they blow up like 20 blocks you might be able to pick up like 12 of them. Second side note. Items disappear (despawn) after 10 minutes. If you drop your stuff you gotta hurry back to pick it up.

Yes I wanted to add that as well ... 5 min to despawn in loaded chunks means if you die and respawn far away you have more time to get back ... I believe the 5 min start when the items are within your render distance... The world outside your render distance is basically always frozen in time (world spawn is an exception to this) ... Furnaces stop smelting for example when you get too far away and dolphins suffocate because they don't move anymore and so they don't get air to breath under water... And other similar mechanics...

elevator with levers Kinda yes Kinda No, it probably Possible with red stone, but Unlikly, Mods tho compeletly Possible. one method i know to make an Elevator is Boats and Sign posts, tho i think scaffolding can be used as elevator you just need to make sure the tunnel up and down is safe, other method is Water one leading down another up and Maga block thingy and soul sand. as for the creeper walking in and exploding, yes your correct it would of done more damage, but block have damage resistencesince your floor mainly Stone it won't break much 2 or 3/4 block at the most, if it dirt and wood it be worse. generally tho you want to make sure door closed to avoid such Incidents, mornings are not completly safe as creepers can survive in sunlight but despawn after some time or if your far away, skeletons and zombies can hide under object to avoid sun damage or if it raining it wont stop them, spider are peaceful during day. also water would muffle the explosion this applies to tnt as well. Spiders are 2 block wide and 4 across their not getting in unless your roof hole is 4 block open, they also tend to not fall through 4 block holes as their likely to ideal diaginaly across it.

you don't need to aim at glass pain to connect it... you can just "select" the pane on top/the side, of a "block" to be placed... the pane and fences "automatically" connect.

If you look at the village, they have pads. Using a shovel you can do that to dirt, this will prevent spawning mobs from spawning, together with lighting outdoors you should be almost completely safe day and night, just make sure to sleep once in a while.

Andocite and Diorite are just a version of stone. You can only build walls with it (and stairs) nothing special. Copper is also not super useful (although you can eventually build a spyglass with it)

Watching him just do literally everything he possibly could other than putting all his stuff in the chest after the creeper exploded (it was a creeper, the reason the explosion was smaller is because cobblestone is much stronger and more resistant to explosions) so that it didn’t despawn has me so anxious lol

The most common level for Iron is at y level 232 amd 16 underground so you would need a mountain. If you are going to venture into the snow make sure you have leather armor boots on so you don't sink into deep snow. Also mining you stair step down to get to the lower level iron. If you turn on your subtitles you can get a general direction the sounds are coming from. Make a stone cutter or steal one from village. You can cook cobblestone back into stone which gives you more options in the stone clutter.

FIRST YOU CAN MAKE A FARM OUT OF THE SEED YOU GOT, SECOND YOU CAN POUR WATER AND RIDE ON IT DOWN SAFELY AND EVEN IF YOU FALL YOU CAN RIDE AT ITS AREA BELOW YOU AND THIS CAN BE GOOD DEALING WITH VERY DEEP CAVES,YOU JUST NEED TO FIND ONE THOUGH😊OH AND THIRD YOU CAN USE THE WATER TO PUSH MOBS ESPECIALLY EFFECTIVE WITH THE MOV CALLED ENDERMAN JUST RUN THEN PUT WATER UNDER YOU AND WATCH HOW THEY GOT STUNNED WITH THAT. BTW YOU HAVE THE NICEST HOUSE FOR A NOOB CUZ EVEN ME I BUILT OUT OF DIRT BACK THEN😂 AND I TELL TO MY SELF IT'S DIRTYFULL
