I love Maybelline’s 4 in 1 Glow Perfector! I use it as a BB cream and then add concealer where I need it, and add cream blush. It is a great summer look and gives my skin a natural glow with some coverage. I highly recommend!

If anyone out there is knowledgeable about dupes I would appreciate any tips on finding dupes for anything BECCA! I’m going to miss my under eye concealer when it goes and the light shifter dewing tint that I have used instead of the Charlotte Tilbury Flawless Filter. I could practically do a full face with all my BECCA products and will no longer be able to replace them.

@@pollypenrose8210 if it is just about under eye concealer, I used Becca, Bobbi Brown and SkinFood( a Korean beauty brand). Bobbi Brown for its cream corrector and SkinFood for its dark circle concealer are looking good on me as Becca. Bobbi Brown is about $31, and SkinFood is about $12 on Amazon, you can give it try depending your budget.

Another really good dupe for the CT is the Nyx tinted skin serum! I found the CT one accentuated my pores and looked rubbish, but the nyx serum is a really subtle glowy look that evens out the skin!

I think we should rephrase the situation. We don't hate the dentist, we hate having cavities, weird things put in our mouths, and the pain and aftermath of having oral work done. The dentist is there to help us through the rough situations that come up and to help us avoid worse in the future. Thank you for sticking in there with us (despite bad breath, skipping flossing sometimes, and lingering grudges). Bless you!

The Maybeline seemed to give more coverage upon initial application but maybe just because it’s a slightly deeper shade. After you had the rest of your makeup done I couldn’t really tell the difference. I like the way the CT looked as a highlighter better. XO

I like how the Charlotte Tilbery looks cause it's more of a highlight shade and the Maybelline seems alot softer. I have not used either but because I only use good ingredients on my skin I'd use Charlotte's. You look really pretty today Allie. I find that there are some drugstore illuminators that compare pretty well to the Charlotte Tilbury Flawless Filter (like the Lumi Glotion by Loreal and Revlon SkinLights). The Lumi Glotion gives such a pretty glass skin effect. I've used both the Flawless Filter and the Lumi Glotion, the Lumi Glotion is just as good. I personally liked the Charlotte Tilbury more than the Maybelline one on you. The Maybelline seems too subtle to me and the lightest shade isn't ideal for very fair skin.

Thanks for the review Allie. Your dupe videos are always fun to watch. The Maybelline product claims that it’s also a concealer. I can’t imagine that holds true, however the CT isn’t one either and they make no claims that it is a concealer. It’s still a pretty product! I’d try the Maybelline for a light makeup day. They do have similarities, but the CT one looks more glowy to me. Even with the full face of makeup. The Maybelline one looks like it has more of a "dull" glow in comparison to CT. I'd personally reach for my CT still to achieve the glow I go for. 🤗

I've just started on my 3rd bottle of the CT and it really suits me, so I'm not likely to try the Maybelline dupe. Plus I'm not keen on the sponge top and twist up container. The amount of times I've gently twisted, twisted again and then some more, and ended up with half the product in my lap 😠.

M actually covered imperfections, while CT side barely did anything other than add the light sheen (CT looks like 1/10 for coverage)

In real life, it actually looks beautiful. Doesn’t offer much coverage, it’s true, but it just gives the prettiest glow and blurs the skin and the imperfections just don’t stand up as much. I love it for everyday makeup, with a bit of concealer under the eyes and around the nose.

The CT isn’t meant to have coverage. It’s supposed to be used with foundation if you want coverage with it. It’s pretty much a liquid highlighter. I would never use it if I needed any kind of coverage. She knows this. The M is actually labeled as foundation so of course it’s going to have some coverage.

Allie, you always do such an excellent job of blending and I like that you always refine every layer you put on your face (concealer, foundation, blush, etc.) by blotting with a sponge. Is that sponge dry or moistened (and blotted)?

I bought the CT Flawless filter last year during the Sephora sale. I fell in love with it and it even works with my oily skin. The Maybelline perfector is a smaller size, so cost wise it's $19 per ounce to the CT $44 per ounce. The CT also has 12 shades vs 5 for Maybelline. Have you tried the Milani Soft Focus Glow? It's excellent, $10 for 1.59 ounces, but only 3 shades. It does have far superior packaging to the CT and Maybelline products. But yeah, there is something special about the CT flawless filter.

I would love to see you try a new “weird” product from Flower beauty that I just bought called the Jet Set Invisible Powder Spray. I thought it might just be a setting spray but when I spray it on my skin it does kind of feel like powder. But I’ve not tested it out yet. PS. Coming from some1 who HASN'T tried EITHER of these & going by AG's complexion - I would DEFINITELY prefer the Maybelline version because of the skincare routine I currently use. It comes across as a more subtle glow so hopefully it would take down the glow/oily look of my complexion l8r on N the day as opposed 2 what I use now.

It's a shame the Maybelline is darker. That being the fairest shade. It did blend in well with your skin well though. And did look like maybe it had a bit more coverage. The CT one is so beautiful though. And so out of my price range lol. Did you notice a difference as far as if one showed facial texture more than the other?

No 7 illumator gives that glowy look that the charlotte tillbury gives. I mix it with my Wet N Wild tinted moisturizer. For days when I need lasting coverage in the heat, I mix it with the Too Faced Peaches and Cream foundation.

If you want a bit of coverage with a highlighter to be more like this CT one, use a drugstore highlighter and mix a tiny bit if concealer in with it to give it a tint and a touch of coverage. I do love this CT one but my favorite is the Becca backlight filter primer for an all over glow. I use both
