@@harry4319 Actually really depends, brands like Pat mcgrath, Laura Mercier, Charlotte Tilbury and many more high end brands don’t test on animals. Most items in a drugstore, from Revlon to Max Factor to L’oreal to Maybelline all test on animals. It’s easier to find a luxury or even mid range product that’s cruelty free, since drug store items are almost always sold in China since drug store is more popular worldwide and sells more.

I have this happen with mineral products, both mineral foundations and mineral sunscreen. It’s frustrating. I don’t know much on the topic, but I think it has to do with my moisturizer not being water soluble. And minerals are water soluble. Don’t quote me though, not 100% sure. It’s something that I would like took further into.

Personally, I've never gotten Revolution eyeshadows to stay as well as other formulas and especially more expensive formulas. Very unfortunate because I like their dupes! I have oily eyelids and use Milani or NARS eye primer..

Hourglass Scattered Light Glitter Eyeshadow in the shade Smoke is exactly THE SAME as Kiko Milano Water Eyeshadow in the shade 200 Champagne... the texture feels different but the longevity, shade is the same... the price is different. Hourglass retails for 31,95€ and the Kiko Milano for 8,95€ Loved the drugstore look more, it was super fun... sending you a hug from Austria 😊

I was using a particular hyaluronic acid serum on my face, and then applying my sunscreen over top. The sunscreen would always pill, and I assumed it was the HA serum, but it was actually the sunscreen that was the problem. It took me awhile to figure that out! Once I switched to a different sunscreen, I had no more problems with pilling, ever (and I've used several different sunscreens since). Sometimes it can be just one product that doesn't play well with other skin care in your routine.

They either leave a horrible cast or simply doesn't play well with other products. What sunscreen have you found that plays well with others? 😉😁

​@@LauraFagelman My favourite sunscreen is the Paula's Choice Hydralight Shine-Free Mineral Complex SPF 30. I've tried so many, and this is STILL the one I keep re-purchasing year after year. It's perfect for Normal/combination skin. My skin tends to be Normal to dry with a slightly oily t-zone, and it's perfect. I like the Hydralight because it's not heavy and greasy and is not too matte. I also like that it's not tinted, which are always too dark or a weird colour. It does have a slight white cast because it is an all-mineral sunscreen, but after 15-20 minutes, it dissipates as it sinks in, and then you can apply your makeup. It looks amazing under makeup.
