@@NinthSettler Unlocking is part of the fun! I see it as exploration and "solving a puzzle". There are puzzles in which you see everything at first, and others in which it compounds. To me, the learning curve is a lot better in the second one. The complexity builds upon itself. Both designs are fine, but they have different feels and ways to teach you the game.

Its so easy to kill the reaper now with evolved Clock Lancet and Laurel. The white reaper is unkillable unfortunately. If you want the last hidden character you get him off off Mad Forest. Gotta grab the skull and then pummarola. Then the enemies will start dropping cakes. After you collect like 100 of them a shadow wizard shows up. You kill him and unlock secret character.

in general reaper got nerved they didnt appear to oneshoot my character at around level 200 i was pugnala and the permanent upgrades are neat as well

@@TypetwoAbsolute Well he clearly does not even take damage and overrides your health to 1 shot you because you die while still having a health bar. Unless they remove that he won't be killable.

@@AmelliaKyusei The evolved Lancet halves his health every time it hits him. I dont think they actually nerfed him.l but I could be wrong. Thats why you can still kill him even at high levels. With evolved laurel you could pretty much run forever from him. I survived over 80 mins on a run to test it.

The infinite corridor is something from the Castlevania Netflix series. I love seeing all the inspiration Vampire Survivors takes from The show and the games :)

Yeah, the infinite corridor is originally from curse of darkness, which is another one of the inspirations for the show in other words it's the game where Hector and Isaac show up, though they took the idea and like, evolved it to a big degree in the show.

Not just from the Netflix series, but all of Castlevania. This entire game is heavily influenced by that franchise.

It's from Castlevania Curse of Darkness (PS2 game) which the Netflix series took from because it adapted that game. The whole game is just Castlevania references, it's obvious. No need to say it. The new challenge stage sounds like the background music is Lost Painting, all the weapon types, all the naming, all the music, everything. Pretty much all Castlevania references with slight naming changes

This update was the most insane bait the dev has ever done, and I loved every second of seeing you as surprised and baffled as I was :D These were his notes prior to the patch to prepare people that the patch wont have a lot of content...: "Due to the amount of work needed to improve on the save data issues with Mac and Steam Cloud, and also for the future patch 0.7, patch 0.6.0 will have less content than usual. I'm sorry for the inconvenience, but I also hope you have fun with the new little mechanics added in this patch!" Less content my ass, 2 characters and 1 secret character instead, and well all the other stuff, as well as the amazing Corridor stage music. Btw, the golden eggs are an extra for those who play too much and a way for them to use their gold, so don't feel like you need to or even should farm for them, it's just that many older players had millions of gold laying around. Dev said himself the future updates will not be balanced around them. But! They allow for some insanely crazy stuff and gold farming is now finally something reasonable and finally a reason to get into strategies on the Bone Zone/Gallo Tower to maximize Gold per run. Definitely a nice surprise and good to see you playing the patch! Hope you also continue with the rest of the patch :D

with the extra curse from the laurel/clock passive items you can get RIDICULOUS amounts of gold especially with the gold rush arcana, i’m relatively new to the game and i made like 30k in my first run with it

does actually make sense though, if all the buffs are on the floor its better to get your weapons to level 8 so you can upgrade them. pick up all the buffs and you will dilute the pool too much making it very hard to upgrade weapons.

Not picking them up early is the right play anyway because if you do pick them up early you dilute the level up pool to the point where it can be difficult to get weapons/weapon ranks which are the priority early game.

The passives are randomly put into the ability pool regardless. The only time they’re not in the pool is when you have no room left for abilities.

i second that, i tried typing that phrase several times with variations (whichever i thought made sense) in google translate, it kept auto-detecting it as german. probably because of the word "der". i selected italian, changed der to del and replaced ph with an f. still didn't work.

@@Laskofil Yeah sure, I see people already translated one to you, i saw some other like: Carrèllo, which is the italian term for Shopping cart, and here is used for a wheel; Santa water, which is just Saint Water, the one used in Church. The programmer just changed the english word Saint with the italian equivalent Santa; Gatti amari (Translated literally as "Bitter cats") is a joke on the vulgar expression "Cazzi amari" (Cazzi means Dicks, Amari means Bitter) which is used to describe a really bad situation someone is getting into. Or if that someone is already in trouble. Candelabrador is just Candelabra and labrador (the dog) united in one word; And those are just some I got in the first minutes of the video, i didn't play the game myself so probably there are a lot more.

Whip & Knife are my shit... Love either. I combo whip + guns + axe + cross for sustain as I was farming power ups when I first started, and knife + guns + axe + cross for clearing maps like no other once I got almost all the power ups.

Upgraded Santa water and attractor orb is strongest on target damage in the game followed closely by upgraded daggers. Maxed and with crit up lightning does over 200dmg a hit chained throughout large mobbs
