For anyone who doesn't know, the Cats basically scale infinitely if you "feed" them. They will interact with objects dropped on the ground, and eating food powers them up. Much like real cats, they kind of do whatever they want, scratch things, and constantly want food.

@@sharpeningrod6441 The cats need to eat the food, not you, so Attractorb is a bid hindrance to scaling them. Obviously you lose if you die so you need to account for your own survival ideally without food if you want happy kitties.

cats+water+duplicator+gloves+song of mana gives you absolutely insane deathball zones. I was getting 80-100k kill games just standing still most of it. Also taking the projectile speed Arcana makes the evolved santa water close in on itself and take up the entire screen with a huge kill zone.

Important for guns: you can die after evolving them to get rid of tiragisu and free up an accessory slot (Phierragi will lose 2 projectiles and 2 base damage). Note that if you have 7 items and then die to lose tiragisu, you'll go down to 6 and can't pick up more. The optimal strategy is to get evolve guns, die to lose tiragisu, get items until you have 6, then pick up map items.

@Urazz While the guns are extremely powerful there are other weapons that out scale them heavily like the cats and the Hellfire wand using Heart of Fire Arcana. Getting a passive that will buff those instead will let you do more damage in the long run. I managed to get my Hellfire wand and my cats to do over 43 million damage in a 30 minute run. So they did about 86 million damage total. The guns never came close to that. They just can't. If you want to go for kill number records then guns will not get you there.

The dev said he's already aware of the game stuttering. He said it was embarrassing because it was how he programed it. The game runs in a single core so even if you have a optimal pc it will still studder he's working on it but more focused on adding content

This is my favorite Asmon content. I got into watching him during his Souls Runs and then Elden Ring, but this is now my favorite to watch. I love the non-stop energy, play-by-play commentary, mispronouncing words, everything. I'd play this game if I had more spare time, but it's nice to just listen and glance at this while I work.

Toastie method is a bit more legit but it takes a lot of time and patience to pull. It's generally better to use Clerici method instead unless you are a huge maso. Also cats is RNG the weapon and you need to feed them chicken (they automatically pick them up) for them to scale. Their interaction is based on luck so Toastie is generally the best user for it (as they have insane high luck to farm chickens on top)

I did get the Toastie with Red Reaper, confirmed down arrow then enter (spam style) worked perfectly, I sent 1 mining cart at the green reaper I killed red reaper with lvl 1 poe with lvl 1 garlic

I just wanna say, I gave this game about an hour or two when I first played...thought it seemed boring, quit. Then I saw Asmon play this to a higher level. I started playing it again. I watched this vid today when you posted it, and I'm proud to say that, today, I successfully finished...not the Reaper or anything, but I successfully made it to 30 minutes in the first world. And then I did it three more times tonight. And I'd never gotten much past 15 minutes before today! Discovered a really crazy thing with song of mana. If you evolve it, and have skull of maniac on 1, and then banish the skull of maniac. Then you get all the crazy upsides of evolved song of mana, but very few of the downsides. The game will not allow you to get more skulls of maniac.

I thought the game was incredible in the beginning and then it slowly became dull. It took a while for me to reach that point though, and what can you expect from a 2 dollar early access game? I gave 5 copies away to my friends as a way for them to have fun and to support the developer. I really want to see much harder levels, but I'm sure they will come.

You don't need luck for cats. The cats scale when they eat turkeys. If you feed them enough turkeys luck doesn't matter. Don't waste a passive slot on luck, feed them turkeys.

Luck makes them scale faster because the light posts spawn more frequently and they spawn food more often. So yes Luck has strong synergy with cats. To get insane damage runs you need the luck passive to make light posts spawn constantly which drop food constantly. There is a tile on Inlaid Library that has 10 light post spawn points and they have a chance of spawning if they are even slightly offscreen while cats can pick up items off your screen. They will constantly eat food this way making them scale very fast and do many times what your other weapons can do. First time I tried it I managed to get my cats to do 43 million damage in a 30 minute run.
