Cougar stalking your camp, tail is down because it's on the prowl. They see us lots we just don't see them, they are good at what they do. Kinda like Rambo ;-)

Well it's looks to big for Bobcat and to Dark for mountain lion? Like others have said try putting several trailcams in the area and hope for the best.

Looks like a mountain lion, large cats will often tuck their tails to appear smaller and less conspicuous. There are mountain lions in WV, some 10 years ago we sighted one crossing Scenic Hwy 150 in Pocahontas County.

That’s a Cougar Mountain Lion. Teenage Mountain lions will wander Hundreds of miles looking for a Mate. We got em from out west, in Minnesota, Wisconsin and Iowa. Absolutely possible this Kitty is nosing around for a Mate.

Cougar/Mountain lion... very large tail, dragging behind him, silhouetting his rear legs... creature of opportunity... probably stalking you guys, but because there are two of you, he won't take a chance getting closer

Mountain lion. It looks just to big to be a bobcat. I seen lots of bobcats but not that big. I’m not saying there is no way it not a bobcat but I’m with people that said it looks like a mountain lion with it tail tucked.
