Really liked what you had to say regarding traditional style. I’m trying to decide what my style is. Focal point in each room is difficult for me. Over fireplace I get that but in my family room it’s the TV! Yuk!!! I’m not a big fan of that but it is what it is with two recliners facing it. I’m really having a hard time . I think I am traditional French country a little transitional style too. I can’t see painting all my nice furniture cream antique color. I’ll keep watching you & see what I can learn. Thank you for the info . God Bless you.

Hello Linda. Thank you for watching and taking the time to comment. Keep in mind That there are many design categories. It is most important that you create a space you love regardless of name categories. Blessings.

Thank you so much for this video! I love all the visual examples. I have a pretty modern squared arms dark blue sectional. I live in the desert so I was thinking contemporary desert feel, but I just love the lighter looks in transitional. I’m thinking of accent chairs now so you have really helped!

First of all, what a great professional appearance for this video. Presentation of contents and appearance goes hand-in-hand for this video. Love your make-up and apparel. You look gorgeous! Excellent video, extraordinary wealth of knowledge. I do not know if I have a particular Design Style. However, I am a neutral color scheme individual of soft-tones, enthusiast of creams and dove whites, for walls and ceilings. Love textures that accentuates the design and decorating of certain areas I maybe working with. When it comes to Interior Design Styles for me everything is Traditional Style, I thought, however according to your video today I could have a Transitional Design Style personality. I enjoy incorporating pieces that speaks to my personality and lifestyle for my family (with emphasis on Vintage-French Country, Italian Tuscany and Oriental Rosewood). Thanks for a wonderful video, that was enjoyed and inspiring after participation in a wonderful Church Service today as well as an excellent dinner I prepared for my family. May you continue to be bless and love by all. Have a magnificent week.

Hey Mimi, great information and delivery, I love the presentation of knowledge. You deliver and never disappoint. So many of us struggle with transitional design because we don’t want to get rid of things or don’t know how to incorporate them. Love the examples. Thanks 😊

Nice overview, thanks. Do you know what the sofa & fabric are @10:08? Is using an Oriental rug with modern furniture considered transitional? Any pointers on how to make that work?
@CreatingWithMimi2 жыл бұрын
Hi Plasticine. Thanks for watching. The fabric looks like a High End linen or polyester/ linen blend color grey. Transitional typically would not include Oriental rug. But it depends on the color and pattern. If the pattern of the rug is bold consider mono-tone straight lined furniture. Best of luck.

Mimi I do have a straight back sofa and 2 curve accent chairs , what type of coffee table should I have and isn’t this style considered transitional or mid century modern.
@CreatingWithMimi2 жыл бұрын
Hi Sherrod. It could be both depending on what the items look like. Try grouping 3 or more tables together to make a cocktail table area.
