Those are very creative! I've been looking at turnip for a while. I just didn't start making anything for it just yet because I'm already stuck in so many other systems. I might eventurally make a potato cult or something like that.

Love the Woad Cultists you have going there. Never would have considered bright blue sloughing off all these root mutants. Turnip28 is such a great game. It's a kitbasher's dream. And it has such a good blend of agrarian horror and black comedy. All the various cults in the game just add another layer of delight. Like the one with the hot air balloon, the one with with the parasitic lovers, and _The Swelling._ For those looking for cheap ways to get parts for Turnip28 kitbashes, highly recommend looking into Perry Miniatures. They not only sell a variety of plastic kits for historical wargames, they also sell some of the _sprues_ for those kits individually. It's not the whole plastic range, but it's a fair bit of it. Meaning you can pay just a couple dollars for, like, a sprue full of different weapon arms, or a cannon, or some horses, etc. This way, you can kind of mix and match what parts you need, without investing in the whole kits. Very useful for Turnip28, with its eclectic style and low model count (even for the "full" army game).

really nice job. The baby carriage stuck out for me in the thumb nail. I thought you were going to to a fat baby man. I like where you took it instead (although that would have been cool as well). During one of my schooltrips in highschool we visted Erfurt a city in Germany that during the middelages got rich of of its Wode production. The people producing the dye were however forbidden from working on sunday because they used urin in the process. The city didn't want to have the smell of the urin permeate the city on church day.
@summonlessermaker6 ай бұрын
Oh interesting 👍 I'll have to Google that I was having a hard time getting specific references. Thanks !
@evilanno33946 ай бұрын
@summonlessermaker gave it a Google and the German Wikipedia page of Woad gives a description of the process the woad gets harvested when the leaves aren't fully open, they tan get crushed by a millstone, the resulting mush is placed in a place to ferment for a bit, it then gets formed in to about fist sized balls. The balls were dried in specialist builds for that purpose. Those than had to be sold to one of the major cities of the woad trade. The woade traders than would smash the balls on the woadeattics. The resulting powder than would be mixed with water and urin to ferment more. Later potash would be added,commonly made from beech trees or other hardwoods. The woadecities of Thuringia lost their power during the 30 year war, because of the caused instability of the woade trade and the importation of cheaper indigo from overseas.

@@summonlessermakeranother thing from Erfurt's history that would fit into the world of Turnip 28 would be the "erfurt latrine disaster" quite a few nobles drowned in sewage, might make for an interesting backstory for a really "shitty" Toft. en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Erfurt_latrine_disaster

what temp do you bake your bark in?
@summonlessermaker4 ай бұрын
I just googled it before I did it, the place I saw recommended 125-200 for 35-45 min. Making it hotter does make it any faster. So the lower temps are safer from starting any fires 👍
