Assam has a significant Hindu Assamese population, and it is essential to ensure that they have access to secure jobs and business opportunities. They deserve fair chances for employment, as well as the capacity to own and operate businesses. Promoting equal opportunities for the local population in both government and private sectors is crucial for their economic empowerment and overall well-being. However, it is evident that Assam is largely dominated by business partners from other states, with very few Assamese individuals achieving substantial wealth. This has created an imbalance, leaving many educated Assamese people in poverty. A significant number of youth remain unemployed, with little hope for growth or opportunity. The government must prioritize the needs of these youth by focusing on job creation, skill development, and supporting local entrepreneurship. Only through targeted efforts to empower the Assamese population can we achieve a balanced and prosperous future for the state.

The Treaty of Yandaboo should be mentioned too. The British Annexed the Kingdom of Assam and during Partition they left us in a Mess without solving and addressing the problems of Northeast. This is why there are so many insurgent groups in Northeast till today. I solely blame the British and all the democratic governments of India after 1947. They have no idea about the problems of Northeast.

The ILFA (Independent Liberation Front of Assam) is a terrorist organization that claims to advocate for the .Moreover, ILFA's narrow definition of "indigenous" and their stance against non-Assamese communities-such as Bengalis, Biharis, Marwaris, and Nepalis-undermines the diverse and pluralistic society that Assam has long been known for rights of indigenous Assamese people and opposes the entry of individuals into Assam after a certain cutoff date. However, their actions and ideology reveal a deeper hypocrisy and bias that targets not only recent migrants but also non-Assamese residents who have lived in the state for decades, even before independence. This organization, along with others like the Lachit Sena, often engages in extortion and intimidation tactics against non-Assamese communities. They demand money from non-Assamese-owned businesses and threaten them with violence unless they employ Assamese people. Ironically, while they impose such demands on others, they themselves do not extend the same principle of employment to non-Assamese in their own enterprises. This contradiction highlights the insidious nature of their ideology, which selectively seeks to impose cultural and economic dominance while denying the same rights to others in Assam.

In the central government, a significant number of vacancies are filled by candidates from other states, rather than by those from Assam. Assamese people rightfully deserve more opportunities to secure jobs in both the central and state governments. It is essential to ensure that locals are given fair representation and opportunities for employment in these sectors.
@nishantghatany74178 күн бұрын
In central government it is filled by candidates of other states because it’s pure competition basis in entrance exams. How can central govt jobs be allotted to a certain tribe. Are you crazy. Yes it can be implemented in state govt though
@ilovemyassam24478 күн бұрын
Shut Up Mr. Phatani, Are you a Stereotype person? Listen First and foremost, it is crucial to recognize that every community deserves respect and dignity. To label us as a 'tribe' without understanding our identity or history is both inaccurate and demeaning. Such terms not only misrepresent who we are but also perpetuate stereotypes that have no place in a progressive society. We are not asking for special treatment; we are demanding basic human recognition. The fact that many educated individuals in our community remain unemployed highlights systemic neglect, not a lack of capability. The government and society must acknowledge our contributions and treat us as equal citizens of this country. Our state is our motherland, and as locals, we have a legitimate claim to the resources and opportunities it provides. Prioritizing local communities in development initiatives and employment is not favoritism-it is justice. This ensures that the people who have nurtured and preserved the region for generations benefit from its growth. If we continue to be marginalized and ignored, it is natural for frustration to build. Unity and inclusion are the foundation of a strong nation, and dismissing a community’s grievances only creates divisions. We do not want separation; we want recognition, respect, and equal opportunities. It is time for the government and society to see us as equals and work towards a more inclusive and equitable future for all.

@nishantghatany7417 It seems there’s a misunderstanding in your perspective. Let me clarify a few points for you. 1. Central Government Jobs: Central government jobs are indeed based on competition, but the issue isn't about reserving these jobs exclusively for one community or tribe. The concern is about equal opportunity. When systemic disadvantages exist, like lack of access to quality education, resources, or representation for certain communities, competition becomes inherently unequal. Affirmative actions like reservation are meant to level the playing field, not to grant undue advantage. 2. Recognizing Local Rights: The argument isn't to replace merit but to ensure that locals, who are the custodians of a region's culture and heritage, are given fair consideration-especially for state government jobs. It’s about recognizing that these individuals have a direct stake in their region's development and, therefore, should have some priority in benefiting from the opportunities it generates. 3. Empathy Over Judgment: Labeling concerns as “crazy” dismisses genuine grievances of marginalized communities. If you step back and understand the historical and social disadvantages faced by certain groups, you might see that their demand isn’t for favoritism but for basic justice and equity. The crux of the matter is this: everyone deserves an equal chance to succeed. Instead of ridiculing others, let's work towards a system where opportunity and fairness coexist for all.
