What is Watt Density?

This was awesome as we didn't have a script and just started a conversation about what is "Watt Density" and why it is so important to home brewers. (The paper in front of us was an agenda for the day.) Loved John's analogy of watt density to a golf score, as I feel a lot of people who've played golf can quickly grasp that.
