What is the max recommended hop capacity for this spider?
@BlichmannEngineering5 күн бұрын
Great question! It's recommended maximum capacity would be right around 15 oz. Hope that helps?

Any plans to scale to a 5BBL brewhouse?
@BlichmannEngineering6 күн бұрын
Great question, @WateringHoleBrewing! At this time, we don’t have plans to scale up to a 5 BBL, but we’ll definitely keep it in mind for future developments. If you haven’t already connected with Phil in Pro Brewing, we encourage you to reach out to him directly. He can walk you through tailored solutions for your brewery space and budget, helping you maximize your return. You can contact him at [email protected] or 765-421-2018. Cheers, to you and yours!

I love how well they compliment each other in business every grumpy old man needs someone to take them out of their comfort zone once in awhile and everyone who jumps in head first needs a grumpy old man to keep the other guy from jumping in head first to a dry bottom lake

Great insight! Well said! It’s such a great dynamic-balancing caution and boldness makes their partnership so effective (and entertaining!). Cheers.

To be clear, the "Surface" kettle is not available (as of 1/8/25) on the 5 gallon batch size BrewEasy Classic system with a 10 gallon upper mash tun. It is only available on the 5 gallon batch size system with the smaller 7.5 gallon upper mash tun. In this video it sure looks like they are using a 10 gallon kettle as an upper mash tun, but man, I could be mistaken. According to Blichmann support, the lid adapter to accommodate a 10 gallon upper kettle is not available for the 10 gallon Surface kettle. The more you know.

Hey there and thank you for sharing your feedback. That is correct. We used a test model in the video. The BrewEasy Classic is not available in the Surface™ heating option at this time. However, the BrewEasy Compact is and can hold around 18 lbs. of grain in the basket. Hope that helps, and if you ever have questions don't hesitate to reach out to Jared on our customer service support team at [email protected]. Cheers to all the brewers out there, and some awesome brew days in 2025!

@@BlichmannEngineering Thanks for the clarification. I like the concept of the BrewEasy Compact. Have you resolved the issue The Apartment Brewer experienced with the mesh pulling away from the basket frame, or was that just a one-off?
@BlichmannEngineering23 күн бұрын
Hey there @whythatsfantastic4602, it was unfortunately a one-off issue. We haven't seen an issue moving forward. If anyone ever does have an issue it is under warranty, so you just have to give Tech Support a jingle and they will get a new one right out. Hope that is helpful?

I know this video is from a while ago, are there videos on each of the pieces you can add to this system? I am using a BIAB single vessle kettle with natural gas cooker and looking to upgrade. This would be a big change, not sure which options I need/want.

I have one and I was never able to pair it with my iPhone. It used to work with 1.0 version of the app on Android but now it doesn't even pair with the device. This completely sucks.

So sorry to hear that you weren't able to pair it with your IPhone. If you'd reach out to Jared at 765-421-2018 or [email protected], he can walk you through the process to get the software working correctly on your phone.

@@BlichmannEngineering Thank you for getting back to me, I've written to the email two years ago and got this response: "Go to your phone setting and set it to USA and the try it and see if it works. It mat be in the language setting (English USA)." That didn't work and I haven't had any other updates on my last reply.
