I find it refreshing that the guys had the courage to admit, 'Hey, this is the kind of thing that happens in the mind of a teenage boy when he sees a cute girl.' Everyone who's been through high school knows what it's like when young people get into adolescence and their bodies wake up in unexpected ways. But heaven forfend that anyone actually talk about it! Compared to so much of the stuff that played and aired through the 80s and 90s, WoH is an baby lamb; even without comparison, it's a fun, catchy song about 'boy sees cute girl and hormones start to carbonate'. My Army friend who works at the United Nations was able to observe the group. She said while the members are resting or goofing around, RM has his eyes fixed on them. I'm Korean and I'm not even fully into Kpop anymore. I stopped after Big Bang's controversy (well, Seung Ri, really)... and I got turned off... 2015? BTS is the one who's bringing me back. "War of Hormone" never bothed me. I grew up with rap songs calling women bit*hes & hoes & loosers. So "War of hormone" is almost respectful compared to that. There are people upset about this series for no reason. RM invited people in recent interviews to watch the history and all they documented to show. He said this is part of what builds that connection with their fans to understand the hardship they went through and how they got through it. It is the most thrilling, difficult, and hardworking journey to rise from the bottom to the top. 💜 Aneesa just puts the timeline of documented occurrences together.

I'm sitting here and trying to compose my words and I'm struggling. I've followed BTS for eight years now. I'm not a Army but they could be my grandsons. As a person who needs music which words have always touched my heart and the sound makes the song. These seven young men have gone through such hardships that no one should ever be exposed to. I've always said, that with one word you can either build a person up or you can kill them. People have tried to kill with their words without a hesitation of thought towards BTS. With in those words each member has suffered. But you know what? These young men while hurting have risen up, above and beyond their own expectations. It'd hard to hear them speak on pain from other's and just a glance at their expressions at times is very hard to swollow. I watched this video and my heart just broke. So once more I wiped my eyes, I laughed and I sat still. My hope for them is that they find what they love, they continue to dream and they live healthy. Much more but I'll stop there. I’m a woman and although I’m not AT ALL offended by the song and agree that the backlash was unnecessary, I can see why War of Hormone was easily misinterpreted. All three of you are guys so it might be easy to say that this issue was “blown out of proportion” but we can’t invalidate the girls out there who experience subtle objectification and catcalling/disrespect disguised as compliments. Those bad experiences are probably why they got the wrong idea/ might have treated this as a big deal. It all boils down to the intent behind words and as we all know, BTS don’t have a mean bone in their body so ofc they didn’t mean to offend or degrade anyone. What matters is that they dealt with this issue maturely and grew from it (Namjoon even consults with a specialist regarding his lyrics). It goes to shows how sensitive they are to their diverse fanbase and how much love they show for ALL fans and their personal/societal struggles and experiences ❤️

Knowing how you’ve all always been huge advocates of Hobi’s sheer talent & vibrant personality, it hit hard seeing your reaction to the vile backlash he experienced. Knowing & seeing the respect & love that’s showered on him today, it’s hard to believe that he had to experience that. All of the boys have had their challenges & challengers…it blows me away that such young men have had the grace & courage to show us their good times & their bad, and, through that simple but courageous act, have brought happiness & comfort to millions. I wish them true peace & happiness throughout their hiatus….although someone needs to tell them they’re on a break 🤣 For us, you boys are an extension of BTS. You're the most hilarious reactors and I love it! I watch you all the time. I personally like War of Hormones and I don't think the boys (back then) meant anything negative when writing that song. There is always someone who has to start crap which explodes into more crap. On tbe issue with Hobi, he was going to leave and decided to stay. I am sooo happy he did! Bts without Hobi or Rm, Jin, Suga, Jimin, Tae, and Jk would not be Bts. They all are a piece of the puzzle. Keep doing what you're doing...Have a Great Say! ✌💜

The begging of this video gotta said got me so mad, to see how much hatred J-Hope had to endure, to see him so sad and down, questioning if he should stay or leave the group fucking hurt. I’ve never seen someone so pure at heart as him and the others as well and they don’t deserve all the hate they got in the begging and still this day. on another note, I’m 38yrs old and when I hear War of Hormones at first I just laughed, because as a teenager that’s what girls and boys usually think at the age. So to me it was a cute and funny video all together. Seeing all their struggles from the beginning until now, and see all they have accomplished makes me proud even more and respect them even more not only as musicians, performers but as humans being. I always try and remember that people who spew hate, really are hating themselves. What one puts out in the world is reflection of what is on the inside. Hurt people hurt, and it sucks for people that don't deserve the horrible vitriol on the receiving end.

I'm a girl and I really like War of Hormone. I'm not going to say the lyrics don't warrant at least some criticism, but they were still really young at the time and didn't mean anything rude. To the people who were seriously offended by the lyrics, there's 21st Century Girl. And the people who wrote those awful things about Hoseok are deplorable. I love every single one of your reactions, I'm glad I get to watch this series with you. And let's be honest 'I need you' has changed their lives. I still remember in 2015 feeling like there had to be a breakthrough because it had been two years and they still hadn't won an award (from this weekly show which is big deal in kpop) 2015 was the year of to be or not to be. How glad I am that they released I need you and then dope. I still remember those wonderful times when I waited with excitement for the videos for I need you and Dope to come out. I would also like to say that it is true that you can find BTS when you need them, but even more importantly, even if you take a break from them, when things get really bad in your life they will help you again (my experience) and I aprreciate them even more now. But whatever happens according to the message of the boys I want to be a better person and love myself.
