The 3.5-liter naturally aspirated V6, created by Chrysler engineers, made its debut back in 1993. It was the reaction of American engineers to the emergence of advanced, efficient and powerful gasoline V6s from Japanese automakers.
In the early 1990s, Chrysler, Dodge, Plymouth, Eagle cars did not have a modern engine. They could only count on a 3.3-liter motor with a single "lower" camshaft in between the cylinder banks. Actually, that engine was taken as the basis. However, a 3.5-liter V6 engine has significant changes, only the oil pan remained unchanged. Chrysler engineers have made every effort to ensure that their engine is reliable, efficient and powerful. But what could be wrong with this V6 engine?
