Agree with your analysis gentlemen, BUT the sad part is that some of those very same verses you quoted are the same verses that unscrupulous, GREEDY prosperity gospel preachers use to try and convince Christians that they should give a bunch of money to said unscrupulous, GREEDY MINISTER, and then God will make them rich as a result. I'm not making that up, I've actually seen the prosperity gospel creeps do that to people on more than one occasion. If you listen to Jesus' words, though, he is actually much more concerned about WHAT YOU GIVE TO THE POOR MUCH MORE THAN WHAT YOU GIVE TO A CHURCH. Some GREEDY prosperity gospel PREACHER may not want to hear that, but it's TRUE, and technically, you don't even need a church to be involved to give money to the poor. There are a lot of good completely secular charities that are doing an outstanding job of giving money to needy poor people. Just saying, I know churches are involved in that too. You're absolutely right that those prosperity gospel preachers distort the gospel message and turn it into something else. For example: when that rich man came to Jesus, Jesus did NOT say to that man "give ME all your money," nor did he even tell that man to give it to a church or synagog,, Jesus told the man to go out there and find some poor people who need it and give the money directly to them." THAT is what Jesus told the man to do, then he told him after he had done that, to "come back and follow me." That's the exact same thing he told his disciples too, he told them to go find poor people give money directly to THEM, and THEN to come back and follow him. Yet these unscrupulous, GREEDY prosperity gospel preachers inevitably distort that into you have to give money to THEM, which is NOT what Jesus taught. They do that because they love money, THAT is what they really love. Don't be fooled.

This is a very needful presentation and I thank you for posting it! When I think of the way so many are currently falling for the lies of those men who preach this sort of doctrine, such as Benny Hinn, Creflo Dollar and Joel Osteen, one particular passage that comes to me is 2 Timothy 4:3-4, where we are warned by the apostle Paul that the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine, but after their own lusts they will raise up for themselves teachers, having itching ears and they will turn their ears away from the Truth and will turn to fables. Plus, in 2 Thessalonians 2, Paul declares that for this cause, God will send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie and be condemned, because in stead of believing the Truth, they had pleasure in unrighteousness.

So,,, Bottom line is we should all get Born-Again, then die immediately. In Reality Salvation is only the 1st step. Tell me people, What kind of a god would God be, if he created the gold and the silver for the sinners to enjoy and not for His own children ( The Church ) ? What kind of a parent would you be if you provide all these great nice things for your enemies and not for your very own kids ? You see how that teaching is is stupid ? I have 2 boys, both my boys are grown men now. and I'm a grandpa now. I gladly give what I have to my boys and my grandkids. and my grand-doggy. One of my sons has a dog. That dog loves me so much, everytime he sees me, he's so happy to see me, everytime he sees me, he jumps all over me. Salvation is only The 1st step, next you have Good Health, Financial Prosperity. The scripture in Matthew 19 blessed me deeply. But let us rightly divide the Word brethren. What about Mark 10:29-30. It says the person who forsakes all to follow Christ will receive hundred fold IN THIS LIFE together with persecution, and in the life to come eternal life. Speak the whole truth brethren. Prosperity gospel of sowing seed may not be correct, but neither is the poverty gospel implied by this video

There is the prosperity gospel, the one for sowing seeds... Terrible... then there's the group like this guy who only think Jesus died for our sins and that's it. The latter only focus on the cross and ignore the resurrection and what it means for the believer TODAY This group is waiting to go to heaven. Once we are made right with God then what? This group doesn't understand the doctrine of righteousness and keep referring to believers as sinners, as wretched... So what is salvation and who is a new creation? This group doesn't believe in healing or miracles. This group is ever repenting and never actually coming to live holy lives because they are never going to be holy. Even though God has called them a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation... I can't tolerate either group. We are tired. We want true Christianity and the liberty of the HolySpirit

Where does the Bible say money is sinful? It says the love of money is the root of all evil. It is the love of money, meaning greed and covetousness. If money was sinful, why did The Messiah have a treasurer?

Well I have to disagree with this video. Somewhere around 1:10 you mentioned it's a matter of interpretation. So what makes you think your interpretation is not incorrect. I don't know how people ( especially Pastors ) can miss it. In Galatians 3:13,14 say: Christ has has redeemed us from the curse of the law; so that The Blessing of Abraham might come on The Gentiles. In Gen.13:2 tells us; Abraham was very rich in cattle, in silver, in gold. Looks to me like it's material wealth as well. God wants us to be prosper in spiritual, health, and materially. Do you really think God made the silver and the gold fr sinners to enjoy rather than for his own children ? In Psalms 35:27 God takes pleasure in the prosperity of his servants. I can take you to scripture after scripture where it has been miss-used to tell The Church, you must be poor here on earth, You'll get it all over on the other side. That is a false teaching. That is NOT the gospel. I can also take you to scripture after scripture where God wants you to prosper materially. Now, if you yourself dont want to prosper, that's really on you. Because prosperity is available. Jesus shed His Holy Blood so you can have the whole package. If you don't want prosperity, that's fine, but don't stop other from taking is rightfully theirs, paid for and bought by Precious Blood of Jesus.

It didn't pay for your prosperities, the problem is idolatry here, prosperity has become your god, God wants to you to be right with Him above everything, the blessing of Abraham was not his riches!, the blessing was the promise to bless the families of the world through him(Abraham) gen12:1-3. A great nation was the blessing. The fact that contentious living is not seen as blessed or prosperous in your eyes is the real issue. But chase after your prosperity man. Peace be with you. But you cannot be a great Nation without a great deal of prosperity. It takes a great deal of prosperity to be a great Nation. Thank God for The Prosperity Preachers. When I first got Born-Again back in June of 1978, I was a member of a very small Four-square Christian Church. We were taught; to go to heaven, we must be born poor here on earth. We cannot have anything here. We will get it all over on the other side. Well I didn't know any better. I was new at this. But then I started reading veres like The Earth is The Lord's and the fullness thereof. I was hungry for The Word. I stumbled across Kenneth Copeland, Fred Price ( before he became a doctor), and other Faith and Prosperity preachers. and the blinders of tradition fell off my eyes. When the small Four-Square Church found out I was listening to these preachers, it was not acceptable. So now I did not have a home church. I was listening to these Faith guys on tv. I was listening to Fred Price and when I found out where he was located, went to visit for the first time. and joined the church on my firs visit. I have been sitting under Dr. Price since January of 1981. If you are one of those preachers who teach; The Church is to be poor here on earth, then there's a lot of Bible verses you will need to do away with. Contrary to what I heard a very well known preacher once teach on tv once. He was teaching; Jesus did not take the stripes on his back so you can drive around in a nice Cadillac, and live in a nice big house. I could not believe he was teaching this junk. Listen Jesus came to Redeem us from The Curse of The Law. Today, I can tell you; I am Aboundanley Financially Blessed. And I am one of the biggest givers out there. I am a big giver.
