Great question Lynn, off the top of our head the only new things you will need for Second Edition are ship cards, cardboards for the bases, new damage deck and the new tokens, however all the first edition tokens are compatible! If we think of anything else we will let you know!

this is true. however Fantasy flight has released conversion kits for Rebels, Empire, and Scum factions to update all existing ships into the 2nd edition rule set. also of note, a small number of the ships that were "small" size class in 1st edition have changed to "medium" size class in 2nd edition so these conversion kits ARE REQUIRED.

As a potential new player it all looks interesting but the angle of shooting in this demo really looks like it doesn't belong. Reminds me of the Wanted movie with the whole bending of bullets.

That death star game mat is quite bright, does yours also give you a headache from looking at it too long?

It didn't in person, it might just be the close camera shots and a bit of color correction happening in the camera. If we use it again we'll tamp down the brightness a tad.

Team Covenant That'd be a cool mechanic, they could be like bombs or a ship with only a 1 straight movement but if it rams it gets attached and does some over time damage

Hi guys, quick one for you. I’m scouring the internet for some Death Star tabletop tiles and am having difficulty finding some. All the ones I can find are old kickstarters. One was great (although HUGE) with trench, cannons, generators and exhaust port. Do you know anyone who still sells this type of product. Big thanks. Keep up the amazing work. Can’t wait for 2.0!!!

So how do you determine what cards you use for the first round before reinforcements, ‘cause when my friend and I played our first map I choose to use luke and he used iden and another character, is there a certain thing that tells us what we should use for the first few ships?

So what to do if you like the new rules but have collected a little bit of everyting?? In my situation the two core sets and every ship up to wave 7. Maybe just keep collecting up to wave 14 and then start 2.0. Do the conversion kits cover everything up to wave 14?

We are planning on upgrading our collections one faction at a time, for instance, Zach has collected almost every ship which many multiple. He flies Imperial the most, so he will be buying the conversion kit for that faction first. Later if he gets the itch to fly some Rebel, he will look at the other conversion kits then. i just read the new rules pdf but cant find anything about losing the action if you cant complete it e.g. target lock or barrel roll. Have i over read something?

Scott Lewis More than likely this will be clarified in the Rules Reference. The rules that are out now for the Gen Con event are more of an introductory rule set that goes with the core intro game from what I gather.

Pawel Grzonkowski there are minor tweaks to actions, they’ve added force charges, and regular charges to pilots and devices. And subtle changes to barrel rolls and how and when you use tokens. They are small changes that make the quality of life of the game much better. And all of the squad building will be app based so they can change point values on the fly.

We essentially did, but it was actually unrelated to Second Edition! We're planning to get it on stream at some point, but our content goals shifted pretty dramatically around this time.
