@David Clinging I like to keep track every year of what I listen to. I also like to keep it in some sort of order of best to worst. I like to analyze it and revisit the list over the coming years. I do it for me. My job sucks so I do little things like this to keep me occupied. I simply cut and pasted the list to this thread. I barely remember doing it. If you see this as some sort of flexing, I can't help you there. I get that the internet can be frustrating and the comment section can get on one's nerves. It looks to me like you're a little bit fed up with people and comments today more than usual. I get it. I just wish you'd get your claws out of me and take your frustration out with someone else.

Rival Sons - Feral Roots Released in January, it's a fantastic album from start to finish, one which defines the band and their style. The title track has a feel of pure-bred rock music out in the wilderness, other singles such as Do Your Worst, Back In The Woods and Too Bad are all out rock anthems to make you feel like a badass. Rival Sons were that band back in 2011 branded as "the next Led Zeppelin", but they've got some brilliant albums under their belt now and this latest one is, absolutely, their very best.

I fucking love that Ash loves Angel Du$t as well as Turnstile (I never cared for TUI). I was also surprised by how much I actually liked Pretty Buff. It might be more "indie" than their other stuff but it's still mostly uptempo, well written and fucking infectious. I'll check out Ashnikko, that sounds interesting. Disease is a good album and Beartooth are great in general but it did find the reuse of pretty much the same song structure on each track a bit off putting. Some of my favourites this year so far along with Pretty Buff are This Means War! - Heartstrings, The Wildhearts - Renaissance Men, Blowfuse - Daily Ritual, Bis - Slight Disconnects and Pizzatramp - Grand Relapse.

My album of the year so far is probably There Will Be No Intermission by Amanda Palmer... but I love her music and it's mostly tracks that've been slowly being released for the last couple of years so for entirely new to me stuff it has to be either Proto by Holly Herndon or ITEKOMA HITS by Otoboke Beaver.

Fever 333 - Strength In Numb333rs. Rach needs to check it out. It's awesome. Its like Rage but with more hip hop influence Bilmuri - White Milk. It has a saxophone solo in a wave song. That's all you need Bad Omens - Finding God Before God Finds Me. If you miss Sempiternal era BMTH listen to it. Attila - Villain. The fact I'm saying this shows how good it is. Attila went from party metal to actually talking about real issues. Subhuman is a great song The Wildhearts - Renaissance Man. Proper old school rock music if you like that sort of stuff.

I haven't listened to a single new album this year, the newest album I've bought is Leather Teeth by Carpenter Brut which came out last year. I've spent 2019 discovering Synthwave

Volbeat’s and Slipknot’s new records are absolutely unbelievable. But I think Korn are contenders for record of the year whenever it drops.

Other than Billie Eilish, I have not heard of any of these, and not listened to even the one I have heard of. My age is showing. It'd be great if you discuss what genres your albums of the year fall into just to help people watching figure out which might be in line with their tastes. Amanda Palmer's "There Will Be No Intermission" tops my list so far for this year. We'll see if Tool can knock her out of that top spot, but I kind of doubt it.

Inspired by True Events by Tori Kelly. If you skip the interludes and just look at the songs, it's an easy A+
