I already had a ton of respect for Tony Gonzalez before this interview because I am a huge NFL fan. It's amazing to see this side of him and it's super cool how he has transformed himself so much over the years. This is super inspiring for me. I will definitely be checking out his podcast along with his wife's. Thank you for another awesome interview!

WOW....His story at 40 sounded like mine at 43. For me it was a midlife crisis(might have been for Tony). I advised friends of mine going through that to take some time, don't make any crazy decision during that time, and let the grief pass...because that's all it is...a death of who you were and a birth of what you're going to become. Just telling my experience because I didn't take that advice when someone gave it to me and I'm recouping from those bad decisions to this day (90% done). Great interview as always, Lewis.

Hey! I don't necessarily know sports. But I know him. I'm in KC and for many years he was our favorite Chief! Great to see how evolved and "leveled up" he is. Go, go, go Tony!

I am only 27 minutes into this so far but paused because something struck me. I was grappling with the 2 different ways you were discussing fear and it sounded contradictory at first. Fear made you quit your hosting position in New York but fear propelled you into being able to make that very decision-you were excited to explore the unknown. I don't think it was actual fear that made you quit-I think it was because you were forced into a situation where you weren't authentic. The job in New York brought anxiety because you didn't know if you could sustain that awful feeling we get when we are playing a role. That choice gave you an opportunity to explore a platform where you could again express your full self and the world is richer for it.
