Seems to fly very well in this configuration! 🤯It's a quad "formula" that I'd want to try out for myself. I think if T-Motor actually did release a 2s, 65mm propped version of this, more people would be interested. Entertaining video as always, very interesting 🙌

Great video Mr Burns, surprising how quiet that guy is! Looks like a blast after some mods! got my crux35 yesterday after a long 3 month wait... out of the box it flew so amazing, fairly quiet, super agile. definitely loving it! approx 15min fly time is craziness, had to bump my goggle standby time up because she started beeping at me mid flight and I noob panicked and she shut down haha, I was flying low in the backyard so a quick disarm and nothing got hurt 😅 cheers, have fun and stay safe everyone!

The beeping goggles always get me! It actually happened again a couple of days ago after I updated my VRX firmware and forgot to do a low/high RSSI power calibration for the module. :p Constant sync problems. Kept beeping and my screen was going super dark, and I could barely see. It took me a minute to work through the panic and fix it :p Good luck on your journey man! One of the coolest and most entertaining things I have done, flight will never get old. I stagnate for a day every once in a while, but just push myself to do something new and it’s awesome again. All the best!

That 15 minute flight time is a perfect indicator that you are using a much too large battery! I have the Crux35 also, and I fly it with a 450mah 4s, and it RIPS! So fast and agile. Remember, the heavier the lipo the lower the power to weight ratio! You want a very high power to weight ratio, so go for a significantly smaller lipo and change them out more often! You will get much more enjoyment out of flying it, because if you are getting 15 minute flights, you are FLYING A BARGE! lol Way, WAY too heavy! 😉👍

It does amaze me how different things fly with only minor tweaks, obviously going to 2s from 1s is a big change in power, but the quad sure looks like fun. Being able to punch up like that, having the power to pull out of dives and change direction so easily is a huge benefit. Great suggestions Nick, hopefully we see a few more companies produce some 2s quads around that 2 inch size. I recently put together a 2 inch freestyle build and it is the most fun I've had with a quad. It is just the right size that I can push it a little in my yard without being worried, the bonus is it flies really well and I have loads of confidence in it.

Hi Nick, you really make these little things look like the place to be! Your flight footage is proof that these things can rip! When I first got into the hobby a year and some change ago well I had no idea what is what, should I get a 5", do I need to build it? What brands are good, which ones should you stay away from... so I got in with a 4" quad - that I never built or flew - (for a kind of crummy reason...) I still have it and might just build it now that things for me have changed a bit. So then I learned a bunch more and after some research I bought 2 prebuilt quads - the Flywoo Firefly 80mm quad and the GEPRC Cinepro 4K - I liked these based on some reviews, I wanted the prop guards, and I had seen them perform the stunts and flights that I wanted to do. Have you ever flown either of these 2 quads? I would love to know how you would compare how those quads fly to say what your top 2 or 3 favorites would fly like. One recent quad that has my interest is that indestructible quad from Foxeer - the FoxWhoop 25 which I saw your review on. I might guess that the 2 quads I mentioned are not that different than the Foxeer. So I would love to hear your thoughts! Anyway, great video as always. Cheers!

Interesting, I started at 4” too, I went up in size and built a bunch of bigger quads, and then I built a lot of smaller ones. I didn’t get really good until I started flying 75mm and 85mm prop protected quads every day on my property. Protected props let me push super hard and do crazy stuff, and just bounce off everything. Built up my confidence. This was huge!!! Now I fly only unprotected props, but still find the 75mm-120mm size my go to (especially on my property) very similar to Nick Burns. Best of luck.

I have flown the firefly 80mm but there are two version, both I have flown. I don't believe I have flown the cinepro 4k. The firefly quads fly pretty well, the freestyle version is more aggressive capable. But neither really compare to the firefly nano baby 20 I recently reviewed or the rocket race 2s that is my favorite.

I have the Cinepro4k. It flies amazing and very stable for filming. I do not use it for acrobatics, allthough no doubt it can. But it has a small 16 by 16 stack, and to my knowledge it has pin connectors between the boards. Crashing can really screw those up. The frame is really good though. I like lighter qwads for that. Less kinetic energy in crashes = less fixing = more fun flying acro.
@genjitsu7448
@genjitsu7448 2 жыл бұрын
@@SOLARFPV Thx for the reply. Good to know about the board and pins. That is an odd quad - the camera is also an interesting choice being that it has the 4K camera built in - the Caddx Tarsier or something like that but they don't seem to make it any more - or even SUPPORT it! That is super lame, they don't even point to the correct support software or give you any frickn clue as to what you are supposed to do instead... I know you can use it without this software but that is not the point... this hobby is hard enough with all the extra stuff we sometimes have to do like flashing receivers or FC's, or updating firmware, etc... But I do really love that quad - I only wish I could fly it! I really suck, I can fly LOS but when I put on goggles, man I just lose it! So frustrating but still fun and I really want to learn and get good at it.

Have to agree about 2s. Fixed a Mob7 V2 with the 1102 9000KV motors (Busted the stem on the stock ones taking off props). The power when you hit the throttle. Looking at more of these 2-3 inch Toothpicks for what few days left outside (Rain season soon on the west coast in Canada soon enough). Owning a fair amount of Happy model micros/whoops it's nice to see other brands and builds. Been looking at this one since watching the previous video. @@PoodlehawkFPV YES! :) That's something rarely discussed but so true...Small lightweight quads are the best to learn on because they are so light, they don't do as much damage to themselves when they crash. I don't see how guys like Botgrinder, who lives in the city of Philadelphia, and doesn't have access to really large parks to fly his 5", so he constantly is breaking stuff cuz he always flies over concrete and around buildings. I think, for the most part, 1S are truly slow cruisers. 1S is just too low of voltage, with too much battery sag, to be a RIPPER! 2S is a whole 'nother ballgame! Sorry Nick, it's just hard for me to watch analog when it's such super soft, mushy image, with un-sharp fuzziness, and flickering, snow, color shifts, etc, etc, etc. That camera is awful! UGH! There's got to be another camera that isn't so terrible! If I was still into flying analog, I wouldn't buy this quad just because the camera is so awful. It's all about how fun to fly the quad is, but it has to be tolerable in the goggles, and this one IMO isn't. I'd put a better camera in it if I were T-Motor. This is a superb little RIPPER, especially if T-Motor adds a better camera. I don't care if they have to raise the price $10 and it weighs another 2 - 3 grams - that camera SUCKS, and if it wasn't replaced with a better one, I'd not buy this quad. Hope this helps. Nice review Nick! 2S is the way! 😎🤘

I agree with your assessment and that is why I strongly prefer 2s on a micro.

@@cccagley5276 To me, making this quad 1S is kind of like a novelty - Can we do it? Yes, we did it, we made a 1S micro Toothpick quad that flies! But, does it fly "really good?" Ahhh, not so much.... LOL 🤔🤷‍♀

Check out quad66 channel on 1S quads. Especially the flywoo 1203 11500kv motors on 1S and 3" bi blade are awesome. You could also now go and argue 3S is even better than 2S. The whole idea on micros is to keep the weight down for safe and maybe a little quiet flights

@@chrisbee5481 Certainly! Ultra low weight quad and lipo and superb power to weight ratio! :)
