honesly ive been "skating" for about 2 years reason i used " is because i only use it to get places no tricks im 16 when my bike tire pops i just hate walking so i use it to get to and from school as well as just going to stores and getting food people ask me to do tricks but i dont know how to and i see no probelm with holding your skateboard that way i guess it loosens the trucks but i have tools so even after seeing the vid idc

Theres differnet types of skaters. Park, street, vert, freestyle, cruisers.. You dont have to get all technical unless you want to! Cruising is fun, tricks can be fun if thats what you're into! New skaters put too much pressure on themselves sometimes. Push yourself if u wanna but mostly just take your time and get familiar with riding your board and figure out what youre into! ✌🏼

I started skateboarding when I was around 9ish to 12ish. To put it short I was shit as I was scared of hurting myself and well learning, I recently (beginning of Jan) picked it up again as a mid-teen rn. It’s all about mental games, you don’t need the best board or the best equipment just skate. I fully regret giving it up as I was just comparing myself to other people, I have to relearn the basics and shit but I’m getting back at it. In around 12 days I’m already trying to ollie and shuvit again. Best advice just fuck it and get a board, don’t give up no matter how old you are.

I’m gonna advocate for the mall grab. The edge does more damage than the truck. You can also lunge with razor tail. If board gets grabbed, twist and recover. I drop to mall grab when I’m about to use it for other purposes…
