Saddens me that people mistake the horror of the backrooms. It isnt filled with entities. It isnt sentient. The real horror is that theres nothing. Just you. Alone. Wandering. No need for food, or water. Just endless walking. Alone. With your thoughts. And honestly. Thats scarier than any "entity" in the back rooms. Same patterns, over and over again. The true horror of the backrooms (and liminal spaces in general) come down to that. Just you, a never ending maze, and (maybe) ambient music to guide you. Sleep well travellers. May we find our worth in the waking world

Yeah, that’s what I loved about the Backrooms at first, but nowadays the concept of there being overly powerful and completely unnecessary entities swarming the Backrooms has become intertwined with liminal spaces. If I’d never heard of the Backrooms and ended up there, and it was truly just a massive, never ending maze that perhaps changed slightly in the sense of different hallway styles, different room styles, different sized spaces, etc, I think I’d actually enjoy it. Let’s say you still have to find food and water, you need to sleep, you can get tired from physical exertion, but you don’t have to use the bathroom. Everything you find find is edible and healthy, no poisoned water, no spoiled food. You’re also effectively immortal, you won’t die if nothing kills you. . It would be fun to block out the concerns for a while and just wonder. But after a few years, a few decades, a century of wandering? That’s the real hell of the Backrooms. Just being stuck, forever, alone in this liminal space.

​@@johnnyrocket1685 I think it's way scarier if you went in without ever hearing about it AND it's totally empty. You find yourself there one day, you walk around. You yell for someone, you turn around in fear, you think you hear something and run. You eventually get tired of running and turn around, there was never anything in the first place. You start to get frustrated looking for an exit, you try looking for food, for water, for ANYTHING. Yet these empty yellow walls don't have anything. I think you can imagine for yourself how horrifying it would be to just slowly die from thirst and hunger while not knowing if anything is chasing you or if theres even an exit in the first place. And it might not even go this way, someone might not realize that there is nothing chasing them, someone might go insane quicker. Alas, not a pretty way to go.

I was having a nightmare about being in backrooms like teleporting to levels and I found agents and skin stealer and bacteria chase and skin stealer bite me in my hand and I was so scared every level I go I found a old woman gave me tips and then she gone what does that means..... Is this nightmare a message from god? Am I gonna tp to backrooms? Is this gonna happen in real life? Is that even real and i really know how it feels to be in backrooms..... I was so scared and tired and looking around and I was looking too much at dark rooms and this is the same feeling that have been inside me.... Please explain me what does that mean....
