I've had my gaming laptop for over a year it hasn't overheated at all. My gpu temps are around 70 degrees on full load. As long as you play on a desk and keep the dust out it'll be fine. Unless you go with Alienware of course.

I have the GT62VR, Very powerful laptop, though I mainly bought it for game design/3d modeling. So it's a little overkill for gaming. Razer 2016 edition is pretty good for gaming if you want to run a 1060.

Lenovo Legion Y520 is my laptop, and I've never had more than 30 fps when playing csgo and on lowend games, my shitty work laptop did 50 fps. now, Lenovo gives me 160 fps in csgo, and 160-240 in lowend games. I know, not a killer, but still, I love it.
