I am always amazed and blessed when I meet people who really want to hear and THEY WANT MORE. This Gen Z group is THEE one to try to PENETRATE. Just salt the heck out of it. They know so little that they do see how little they know. They KNOW they can't respond with any TRUTH. They KNOW it's all LIES!!! THEY CAN BE TAUGHT. They're not lost in His Kingdom. We need to go round up the flock, be the sheepdog for the shepherd and warn the sheep on how to recognize the wolves

I think you nailed it. The passages can be hard to follow, and are often misunderstood, but in reality it's one of the more heartwarming parables Jesus gave. God is willing to save anyone, whether they followed him early in life, or if they choose to follow him even down to the final hour.

What i love about this man of God is he doesnt pop up someone elses video every day and tell you why its wrong or "bad", and he's not like others who say "oh i had this dream and this is what's going to happen on Sept 22 mid-day (lol) and you dont see this guy selling "merch". This guy is talking purely Scrupture and it is such a wonderful blessing that he shares what God gave to HIM. It's just wonderful. He has a beautiful testimony to God. He IS a testimony to God and thank You Lord, that You are glorified.

Praise the Lord! I came late I was stuck steeped in dark sin. The situations were dark my sin was dark and I was full off dark thoughts and pain. Then the Lord called me out and He gave me grace! He set my feet on His path and leads me out of all that darkness that clung to me. Now I am bright and shining and full of His heart His love. I can see so much clearer the pain that clings to those in darkness. Praise the Lord for the gift of sight! Through Him I can shine His light on the darkness in the people around me. I pray through His might, His mercy to bring them out. All the more better for that late calling 🙏 Praise the Lord forever 🙌

Thank you for explaining that passage in a way I hadn't seen before. God's word is alive and so multi- faceted, as you obviously well know. The next time we study the same passage it could have a different, even deeper meaning. Side notes: I love when you use the paper Bible (as opposed to the electronic) - it's richer somehow. I use my Bible app at church so I can focus on taking notes, but transfer some of those notes into my paper Bible at home to further study. As soon as I complete a large project I plan to enroll in one of your courses. I'm praying about where God wants me next - I have a burden for the lost most, as we all should!

Great study brother. If you will noticed that rich man already obey many commandment but the first was not included- Loving God with all your heart etc... That rich man maybe & maybe was still in idolatry of loving wealth/money over God. By obeying & doing the first commandment for sure Jesus can give back to Him what He can give to the poor. Pressed down, shaken together, running over, hundredfold of what He may lost in being rich without God. 😊 Love God over money and use your wealth in the land of the living for you to prosper and help the others.

I believe you omitted the idea, no you didn't omit the idea of humility as I recall now but it bears repeating as the sin God hates most is the opposite of humility and that is pride in one's self....including accomplishments, attitudes, learning, behaviour, whatever because salvation has nothing to do with anything that is of us. Salvation is all about Jesus and what Jesus did for us.

As it is written: “There is none righteous, no, not one; There is none who understands; There is none who seeks after God. They have all turned aside; They have together become unprofitable; There is none who does good, no, not one.” Romans 3:10‭-‬12 for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, being justified freely by His grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus, whom God set forth as a propitiation by His blood, through faith, to demonstrate His righteousness, because in His forbearance God had passed over the sins that were previously committed, to demonstrate at the present time His righteousness, that He might be just and the justifier of the one who has faith in Jesus. Where is boasting then? It is excluded. By what law? Of works? No, but by the law of faith. Therefore we conclude that a man is justified by faith apart from the deeds of the law. Romans 3:23‭-‬28

What HE looks at is the heart, HE wants a pure heart without hate, envy, greed or any ambition HE wants us to totally humble ourselves and deny ourselves and OBEY HIM, HE wants us to LOVE HIM over anything in the world. I admire your line by line deep analysis. The Bible speaks of the "First" resurrection. This is when Christ raises Christians who have died and then immediately translates living Christians. But what about the people of God from Old Testament times? They are raised afterwards. David is mentioned specifially and so are Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. So those believers who lived first - the Old Testament ones are raised last and those believers who lived last - the Christians are raised first.

The soul is the first resurrection. The body follows later on the last day. The day of eternity as Paul says. The souls of the Old testament saints arose when Jesus resurrected. Just as prophecied.

This is complex: it could also mean that since Israel was blided and deafened for our sakes to send the gospel to the nations( Rom 11:1-26), we receive salvation first only for the Jews to receive it last. OR...Christians are grafted into Israel, will along the Jews become first and Jews last. However which way this cones out, I am thankful for the cross and Our Lord who took our place on that cross. I pray God continues to reveal the truth. Thank you for this thought-provoking discussion.

Jesus is ISRAEL and the TREE and the VINE and the DOOR and the SHEPHERD and KING and LORD. Jesus is the SEED of Abraham by FAITH. Read Romans 11 again it's by FAITH in Messiah/Christ. We are grafted into His tree by FAITH not by an physical earthly Israel today, they were judged by the law almost 2000 years ago. Jesus chose that nation to come through as prophecied but the earthly Israel no longer holds any authority or preference today. Except for the Archaeological digs and discoveries of today, they are so fabulous and the historical settings, I love seeing it but one day all these too will burn up, then new heaven and new earth, eternal bliss.

The parable of the workers in the vineyeard have giving me comfort after coming to Christ as 44 year old and meeting others who is younger than me being in service for years becaurse they enterd the kingdom as children or as teens. It doesnt matter if your 100+ and rescieving Christ on the deathbed or being saved as 4 years old and being a follower for one hundred years. The "salary" is the same. I think there is at least two things going on in these texts. "There is some who is the first who shall be the last and some who is last shall be first", yes it can very well be the jews. The first was standing before him and the last is the third of the jews in Sachariah 12: 9-14. At least they will be the last to be saved when the tribulation ends by Jesus second coming. Maybe they see Jesus coming in the clouds and they will be saved and the moment after is the resurrection and the "rapture" or is it somehow they by grace is saved the moment after the "rapture" and still here during the wrath protected on earth by angels and not transformed and entering inte the millenium as still being mortal humans but saved. I still havent figured that out yet and not got any revelation about it, but they are the last to be saved at the coming.

For years I read the Bible as one story after another, I did wonder why God would have the repeated stories from one writer to the other, Matthew, Mark Luke and John. I just saw this as repeated stories. But you have tied these four gospels together and now I see why they were repeated. To really study the Bible as you are doing, brings the "stories" are more than just stories. It is more like a woven piece of knowledge, rather than just a story. I am 79 years old, and have been reading the Bible since 1964, I never saw the depth of the four gospels when they are woven together. When I see you I think of the verses where Paul tells Timothy not to let his youth be a problem. You look too young to have the wisdom that you have, God is good and He likes to surpise us!!!

I believe that also extends to the end times. because we have been without the true gospel for almost 2 thousand years, And we are the last generation. Now having said that I refer to 3rd John When he was quite literally, was kicked out of his church by Diotrephes. It gives a clear picture as to how quickly the church was taken over. John was still going to the church. Before he was sent to Patmos, where he lived out the rest of his life. The "church was changed dramatically from that time on. The scriptures say they have taken the keys to the kingdom. This implies there is truth we are not getting with what we have. What are these keys. I believe in part, keys are books, as far back as 1611 the k.j.v. had 15 books in their canon that are not there now. Yet in much of the bible you will notice there are references, and remarks through the bible to other sources, like Jude quoting a source outside the canon. And preaching from the same source to his congregation he also mentioned another outside the canon. I do believe many books were removed from the canon the more I dig the more I find.

Good stuff mate well nutted out, I hadn't made that connection before. I do think it's in relation to actually entering the kingdom, but I also think there's a Biblical case for greater rewards in heaven according to what people have done. What's your thoughts on this?

The Jews say they have the word of God, but reject Jesus Christ. The Christians say they have Jesus Christ but not believe solely on the Word of God. Neither group takes God's word seriously enough to REALIZE that Jesus Christ IS literally the Word of God, and receive ALL the revelation of what THAT means. Jesus IS One and the SAME as the Word of God sent to us from the Father. Think on THAT for a long while, and be blessed GREATLY! Michael A.

Jesus made the statement “many who are first will be last, and many who are last will be first” (Matthew 19:30) in the context of His encounter with the rich young ruler (Matthew 19:16-30). After the young man turned away from Jesus, unable to give up his great wealth (verse 22), Jesus’ disciples asked the Lord what reward they would have in heaven, since they had given up everything to follow Him (verses 27-30). Jesus promised them “a hundred times as much,” plus eternal life (verse 29). Then He said, “But many who are first will be last, and many who are last will be first” (verse 30).

You are correct with this. Matthew first wrote his book in the Hebrew / Aramaic tongue of the 1st century Jews. It was then translated into the Greek. It was first directed at the Jewish nation.

I take it everyone agrees that we are living in the last days or end times. Doesn't scripture say that in the end times the Church will be ran by the birds of the air, the children of Satan, babies teaching babies. I get what you're doing here. The way you have chosen to understand scripture is quite familiar to me. On the surface, everything you say seems to be spot on. However, this way of understanding scripture is nothing more then knowledge gained from one's own perception of things and not from God. In scripture we find Christ saying to believers: "Make straight your paths!" For this to happen scripture says to: "Put your trust in the Lord, lean on His understanding and not your own, and consider Him in all your ways. If you do this Christ will make straight your paths." The dictionary defines knowledge as understanding gained by actual experience. Since we are to lean on the Lords understanding and not our own then any knowledge we seek must come from the Lord and not from mere perception. To humble yourself and ask God for knowledge instead of the way you usually do it takes a great deal of trust. Fortunately we have the assurance in scripture that if those who seek knowledge ask unto God. He will give it to them abundantly. According to scripture, there are those who before going out to do a thing, they pray and fast for 3 days, neither eating or drinking day or night, seeking to know the way in which they should be. By doing this they prove their faith and once their faith has been proven Christ says He will instruct and teach them in the way in which they should be. Christ says to those who do this, for them there is nothing they cannot do.

@AboveReproachMinistry if you have the time, I am curious how would you square this with Mark 7:27 Let the children first be filled: for it is not meet to take the children's bread, and to cast it unto the dogs. Do you say children first being filled here merely means evangelizing to Jews first like Rom 1:16 and Jesus is only making exceptions to evangelize or heal Gentiles who come to him like the Greek Syrophoenician woman and the Centurion? Or would you say this phrasing is simply to test her faith to see if she is worthy to be a child of God? This also gets a little messy because we would still assume that the faithful disciples who left all like Matthew and Peter would be first in the kingdom and not considered last so there is distinction being made between them and the rest of Israel that would come in later (Rom 11).

Rapture was taught by some early Church fathers. Ephraim said this in his work "On the Last Times V. 2" around 300AD: "For all the saints and elect of God are gathered, prior to the tribulation that is to come, and are taken to the Lord lest they see the confusion that is to overwhelm the world because of our sins. " Why did Irenaeus (John's Disciple) say this in 130 AD; "And therefore, when in the end the Church shall be suddenly caught up from this, it is said, “There shall be tribulation such as has not been since the beginning, neither shall be.” (2)" Rapture or Caught Up: *Jesus meets us(the Church) in the air, 1Ths 4:17 *The Lord comes by Himself, 1Ths 4:16 *the Day of Christ, 2Ths 2:2/Phi 1:6,10/Phi 2:16 2nd coming: *Jesus sets foot on the earth, Zec 14:1-5/Rom 11:26,27 *The Lord comes with His angels, Mat 25:31/Mat 24:29-31/Mat 16:27 *the Day of the Lord, 1Ths 5:2/2Pet 3:10 >>>Mat 24:36-44 is the 2nd coming, the Day of the Lord as a thief in the night.

There are 4 different views about eschatology. Some passages you quoted are for Jesus coming in the clouds of heaven for judgement upon Jerusalem in 70 AD. Others are for the judgement upon the world 2 Peter 3 , when Jesus returns to resurrect everyone ever born. The resurrection of the body into the soul that it was given to be a final judgment. There were 2 schools of thought in the early church when it came to the prophecies of these verses. Some like Irenaeus and Ephraim etc believed in the physical appearance of the kingdom of heaven to rule for an actual one thousand years on this sinful earth that is destined for destruction. Justin Martyr also believed this but said that, "Other righteous and pius Christians believe otherwise." in his dialogue with Trypho circa 150 AD. Irenaeus was a student of Polycarp, who was a student of the Apostle John and the elder John. Others had the different opinion of Jesus reigning from the kingdom of heaven as King of kings and Lord of Lords when He took the physical kingdom from the Jews and rightfully rules over this physical earth from heaven in the kingdom of God. Read the Epistle of Barnabas circa 70 AD onwards of only several years. He wrote to the brethren just after the destruction in 70 AD. He says everything quite clear as occurring in his present time. It's very eye opening. I do believe that this Barnabas was one of the 72 disciples and the companion of Paul. 'Barnabas' means 'son of encouragement' You had to be a Jew to be called 'son of ....Bar or Ben means son in Hebrew. He quoted the Daniel 9 passages as having been fulfilled in the destruction of the temple as prophecied. I had to read this version several times from the 4 different translations as people tend to have biases. Context is everything when it comes to interpretation. Barnabas says that in Jesus' kingdom there will be good and evil, which we have now. We still have free will. There is so much in this epistle. You can read them from the 'early christian writings' . com 'early church fathers' heading. They all believed and taught that up to there time 5 550 years plus has already passed and that Jesus would come and establish this thousand years or the end of the world [depending on their view] in the 6000 th year. We are now in the 7 600 th year according to their calculations of the Septuagint and historians. We can get an abundant blessings from their writings but remember they are also human. For instance Irenaeus taught that Jesus was 50 years old when he died. Is this correct? They also believed that a physical bird called a phoenix lived for 500 years and died in flames and that a worm was reborn from the ashes and that it flew into Egypt after it's rebirth. Is this a real bird that did this? or legend?

@@MattKingsley-zy7dn believe as you wish. We are near the end and to argue makes no sense. You already have your view. I will add Rev 3:10, look it up. This is rapture by itself. BTW Irenaeus was a student of Polycarp, who was said to have been tutored by John the Apostle, so he was a student of John as was Polycarp. Irenaeus never said Jesus was 50 but argued against that according to Jesus confrontation with the Jews who said "You are not even 50 years old" The book of Barnabas is it legit? is it canonized?

@@KeithGreenshields The epistle of Barnabas is very legit. No it is not canonized. Irenaeus was born 130 AD and was not a student of the apostle John. Is Irenaeus canonized? No where did I say that Jesus is not judging this world soon or years down the road. Revelation 3 is not talking about the resurrection. Peace to you, that's why I said there are 4 views on eschatology.

@@MattKingsley-zy7dn Revelation 3:10 mean? Jesus did not bring any accusation against the church at Philadelphia. Only Philadelphia and Smyrna have this distinction. Rather, Instead, He commends them for patient endurance. These believers did not give up or give in to the oppressors' attempts to convert them to a false form of Judaism. Because the church showed such patience, Jesus promised to keep it "from the hour of trial." Jesus' words make it clear that the church will not go through the hour of trial, a reference to the "tribulation," a seven-year period of intense earthly distress and the subject of much of the book of Revelation. The Greek word translated "from" is ek, meaning "out of." Unlike other forms of hardship, where God promises to be with us, or to keep us "through" or "in" those times of difficulty, the church will be kept out of the tribulation. If the church were destined to be kept through the tribulation, the Greek word dia, meaning "through," could have been used. Further, Jesus said the hour of trial is coming on the whole world, not on the church. The judgments unleashed in the tribulation will fall on "those who dwell on the earth"; that is, on those whose home is the world, not heaven. Jesus will take Christians out of the world before the tribulation begins, in an event known as the rapture.

@@KeithGreenshields The book of revelation is the revelation of Jesus Christ to the nation of Israel for judgement of her for being an unfaithful wife again. The blessings and the curses in Deuteronomy chapter 28 and throughout the OT prophets foretold that if they disobeyed and turned against God they would be judged and scattered throughout the nations. This has happened twice to physical land of Israel and to the 2nd temple, the great Herodian temple and to the people. The 7 letters were given to the 7 churches that were on the route to enter the land from the north by Vespasian to conquer and overthrow the Jewish revolt. Jesus wrote to His own to say, "hey I'm going to keep you from this trial that is to come upon the whole inhabited earth, G 3625 strong's 'inhabited earth' 'oikoumenes' at that time. The real saints had persecutions coming from the Roman Empire and from the Jews. The word for world as in entire world is 'Kosmos' G 2889 strong's. Jesus also spoke about the 'synagogue of Satan; in 2 of these letters because it was occurring at that time in history. Please read Isaiah chapter 13 in both the Septuagint and AV and reply who do you think that prophecy is for and when. Also goggle how many wars have been since 2000 years. How many earthquakes for the last 2000 years. How many famines for the last 2000 years. How many tornadoes and catastrophic fires and disease and poverty and death and etc etc.

Whatever translation you’re using, there is missing words and totally twisted. Meaning compared to the King James version. Matthew 19:16-17 King James Version 16 And, behold, one came and said unto him, Good Master, what good thing shall I do, that I may have eternal life? 17 And he said unto him, Why callest thou me good? there is none good but one, that is, God: but if thou wilt enter into life, keep the commandments.

Even Jesus relied on God when he was on earth not once did he slack away from time of comunión with God. If that was the son of God whom was always in prayer and needed God and had that power in him. He had crucified his flesh ever since the moment he got baptized by John the Baptist. He was the son of God. God wanted to bring something to us through him. The sake of the whole world and body of Christ was depending on this mission.

At Matthew 11:11 and Luke 7:28, Jesus says that he who is least in the kingdom of Heaven is a greater prophet than John Baptist. Jesus Christ made himself least and put himself last by dying for the sins of all of us. Jesus is the Alpha and Omega, the first and the last. Moreover, Yeshua is the greatest prophets born of woman.
