Our feet which is the most important yet discarded and looked down upon. Our lord cleans and washes our feet like he cleans our spirits because we must walk and run with him in full faith . As he cleanses us we must also cleanse our minds and spirit so we can walk with him in confidence and truth. I love you Father

To me reading this, the most powerful part is that he removed his outer garments to serve. And then he put back on his outer garments once he was done and took his place.. We are told that the garment that we're given by our lord is the garment of righteousness and is what we need to be wearing at the wedding feast..... So his allusion to any kind of garment is very significant here.... And it's just so beautiful that to serve us to die on a cross for us.He literally had to step out of heaven and remove his outer garments of king And creator in order to Die for us...... And when he was done dying for us and he rose again , he put on his outer garments again and took his place back where he belongs at the right end of the father...... These outer garments that he refers to I think are what he is robed in as our creator and I think the garment part of this is so much more significant than any of us realize.....

My dad was the only man I knew that would so often highlight the significance of Jesus washing the disciples' feet. He actually thought we should continue this practice in church. He would have loved this lesson. Thanks. Short n sweet presentation, brother.

Many years ago I was pregnant with my first child. A friend of mine held a baby shower for me. She did something completely unusual at my shower that was beautiful. During the shower she carefully washed my feet as a way to honor and bless my pregnancy. I no longer have a relationship with this person but have never forgotten the beauty of this gesture.

What an awesome Saviour we have. Leaving the glory of heaven for a while to restore the lost relationship with our heavenly father because of our sins that he also died for. Thank you for opening my mind to the deeper meaning of this act of Jesus washing the feet of his disciples. Amen.

Thank you for this study. It is the first one I watched from you, but I like it very much. The Spirit is strongly in it. There is a certain aspect that maybe would be good to expand upon. 'Having bathed' in my understanding is a clear reference to baptism, having believed in the Word and repented, one is cleansed through Jesus's death and ressurrection, that being applied to him in baptism, through faith 'in the power that raised Jesus from the dead' (Romans 6), that supernatural turning point that Ananaias referred to as 'washing away of sins & calling upon the name of the Lord (clearly for obtaining salvation)', or that Paul referred to as 'the washing of rebirth' for salvation (Titus 3:5), or even Jesus himself: "The one that believes and is baptized shall be saved". There is a place (Ephesians 5:25-27) that I believe - in the correct Greek reading - contains in one sentence the 'bath' and the 'washing of feet', and shows the more precise meaning of these symbols: "Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her to sanctify her - having cleansed her by the washing of water - through the word, and to present her to himself as a radiant church, without stain or wrinkle or any other blemish, but holy and blameless." So unlike many confusing translations, I belive the correct reading here is: "cleansing by washing of water" (baptism) + "sanctification (afterwards) through the Word" (referred to in Ephesians 4:12 also) = Christ preparing the church for salvation at his coming, the redemption of our bodies, the resurrection of the righteous. So according to this: "the one who has bathed (had been baptized truly believing) is already clean" = "cleansing by washing of water" & "washing of feet" = "sanctified through the Word". Or framed in another way: bathing represents forgiveness of sins through the atonement obtained by believing in Jesus and repenting & washing of feet represents santicifation that follows, by God correcting and cleansing us thoroughly while we are heading towards our final promise and hope, being already in His grace. I would be curious to kow how you see this aspect. Or if you can ellaborate more on this issue. God bless you!

This was beautiful! I have always loved this story in the bible, but you had some really great insights. You are exactly right that this story symbolizes Christ coming down to us, cleansing and healing us. But something I was thinking about while I was watching was when I get my feet massaged by someone I love. My father used to massage my feet, my mother used to tickle them. To me, it is extremely comforting. I like to imagine my Savior not only there cleansing me of sin, healing me of pain, but also comforting me through trials and connecting with me. It's very difficult to let someone touch your feet, so true bonding can take place through this act of love and service. When my mother or father would rub my feet we often discussed my day or things I was worried about or even looking forward to. This would cause them to give guidance or advice or support with whatever I needed at that time. I believe this is also part of it. Bonding. Connecting. Being completely vulnerable and letting the Savior serve, heal, guide, cleanse, support, comfort, connect.

I love this. I was studying my bible and praying for understanding when God hit me with fire and a humbling so strong I hit the ground. Revelation often comes from reading scripture. I got the full download and started to see my Bible totally new. Seeing the full reality is the part Jesus was talking about in Matthew 22 34 to 40. This is loving the Lord with all of our minds. Heart first because he loves us first and pours his love on us. Soul as we lift up our hearts and worship him with the love he poured on us and minds that are made clear because all knowledge of his will has to pass through our hearts and our eyes are opened. We need to do as God tells us and this passage is awesome. When we obey him we receive and accept his help. He wants what is best for us and knows what is best. Jesus said if we keep his commandments he will manifest in us and he does.

Here is what the 'footwashing' was actually about: During the evening of Thursday, March 19, 33 AD, Jesus took part in a communal meal in the vestry room at Qumran, a meal that has passed into tradition as the Last Supper. It was, in fact, one of the regular meals of ascetics. It became a midnight vigil, continuing into the later hours in a different room. In the first hour following, from 7 pm, fermented wine was taken, as an ordinary drink. These first two hours, from 6 pm to 8 pm, were the common part of the evening. John's gospel deals with the early hours, but in a way that leaves out all mention of the unleavened bread & the wine. Instead, John's gospel deals with the 'washing of the feet' thar took place in the half--hour preceding the unleavened bread, & for the 2d hour it records the conversation that took place, while the wine was taken, without mentioning the drink. The 'footwashing was not altogether what it seemed, although the principle remained in the Christian tradition of Maundy Thursday. The word 'feet', like all parts of the body, meant not the part itself but an object used at the part. Placed at the feet of an Essene villager was a bowl into which he put his earnings from working as a craftsman. These Essenes were known for their practice of sharing their income with the indigent, & half of the earnings in the bowl went to the 'Poor Orphan' & 'Crippled Widow', categories of persons who needed financial help. The 'Poor' had come to include celibates living in their communities, not depending entirely on their common property but on gifts from outsiders. Half of the chief craftsman's money was given at rhe evening meal to the representative of the 'Poor', who in turn washed the feet of the villager to allow him to come into the sacred precincts of the monastic vestry. At the same time he washed in a dish of water the coins that were given to him, for coinage coming from the outside world was 'filthy lucre' earned by the married in their 'unclean' way of life. This was the more exact sense of 'washing the feet'.

Love your videos. Christ tells Peter “You are clean because of the word I spoke unto you”. You are right that Christ cleans our walk. “You can do nothing without me”. Just as Yahshua as Yahshua fulfilled the Old Covenant, He will fulfill the NEW Covenant IN US. So all that He has spoken unto us; “Forgive, judge not, turn the cheek, pray for your enemies, wash each other’s feet(walk) etc. He will “fulfill in us” all He has said unto us! That is why we are clean by the word he spake unto us. John 15:3 “Now ye are clean through the word which I have spoken unto you.” Your videos are great my brother! Blessings! ❤️

To be a leader He is showing we must be willing to wash someones feet and minister to them. Leaders at tht time and even now like to have the high places with people looking up to them. They value the esteem and respect over those they look down on. This breeds pride. Pride blinds and eventually leads to destruction. There is already an example of this. By showing the example of humble leadership we can use this to see whether a leader is a follower of Christ Jesus or just a puffed up servant of the other guy.

This one reason that I love to join in the seventh day adventists communion. They practice foot washing and make their own bread, its very spiritual. Foot washing takes me back to humility and how beautiful JESUS example is for us to follow. Of course the difference being that usually the people who attend have clean feet already. Not like in Jesus day where the feet would have been dusty and dirty. Praise the Lord for His example and love.

It IS a beautiful practice, but the whole Seventh Day Adventism isn't accurate. The Apostles worshipped God on Sunday, and saying that the Sabbath is when we should go to church is Biblically inaccurate. The Sabbath was given to the Jews, not the Gentiles, and Jesus set us free from a lot of the Old Testament,so we shouldn't follow Seventh Day Adventism.❤

(John 13:5-10) The scripture about Jesus washing the feet of Peter and Peter refusing Him: Jesus said, 'If you do not allow Me to wash your feet, you can have no part with Me.' Peter said, 'Not only my feet Lord, but all of me!' Jesus said, 'You were already washed at baptism and have no need of that, but your feet must be cleansed again.' Ephes 6:15 says 'having shod your feet with the 'preparation' of the Gospel of peace...' Ponder that word. Preparation. In the context of the Gospel of peace, I'm understanding that we must be prepared, lest we cause them to reject the Gospel, due to our uncleanliness. Our feet represent our walk with Christ. In our walk, we spread the Gospel, but our testimony must be untainted and at peace with the Lord. That can only happen if we are clean. Jesus, by washing their feet, was demonstrating our need for daily repentance and cleansing by Him. Better known as His mercy and Grace. (2 Cor 12:9) This is accomplished by seeking Him daily in humble repentance. We must keep in mind daily, the actions of our heart, mind and body_ so quickly, we can repent and not allow the mis-step to fester and become outright rebellion. We are warned of this in Heb 3:7-11. Speaking of YHVH's words concerning the Israelites in the wilderness. 'I swore in my wrath, they certainly shall not enter into My rest'. We must be ever mindful to rely upon Jesus to maintain our cleanliness. However, IT IS OUR RESPONSIBILITY TO SUBMIT OURSELVES TO HIM! We must humble ourselves and hand over our dirty feet to our Lord for proper cleansing. We cannot effectively cleanse ourselves. Salvation is of the Lord, after all, not by works, lest any man should boast! As His disciples, we are our brothers keeper also. 1John puts it this way: but if we walk in the Light as He Himself is in the Light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus His Son cleanses us from all sin. If we say that we have no sin, we are deceiving ourselves and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, He is faithful and righteous to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. If we say that we have not sinned, we make Him a liar and His word is not in us. My little children, I am writing these things to you so that you may not sin. And if anyone sins, we have an Advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous; - 1 John 1:7 - 2:1 Jesus paid the sin debt on our behalf. He pointed out to Peter that through the baptism, he had been washed clean. But that his feet were dirtied and must be washed again. He tells Peter that we all, His disciples should likewise continue in the future to wash each others feet. I think that directly points to 1John 5:16. If anyone sees his brother committing a sin not leading to death, he shall ask and God will for him give life to those who commit sin not leading to death. There is a sin leading to death; I do not say that he should make request for this. - 1 John 5:16 And here too, we must submit to His chastisement when we have done wrong. This is how we grow. Proverbs 3:11-12 says, '...Do not reject the discipline of YHWH, or loathe His rebuke, for whom YHWH loves, He disciplines'. And Job 5:17 says, 'blessed is the man whom YHWH disciplines...'Thank You Jesus for revealing these truths to me. ~❤

It's important to remember that "works of the law" only meant the laws of the Halakah, or traditional Jewish law, which only applied to Jews, so don't confuse this with the commandments. Here is the OTHER key passage from John's letter. "He that saith he knows him, but who keepeth not his commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him." (1 John 2:4) Jesus never taught faith apart from obedience. We must keep his commandments (Mark 10:19) to inherit eternal life.

In context, we can see why our Lord Jesus washed their feet. They were arguing among themselves who would be the greatest in the immediate Kingdom they incorrectly thought Jesus would soon build. They thought He would lead a rebellion and overthrow Rome and set up a new government. They wanted to be famous and rich in that Kingdom. They were arrogant, proud, ambitious self centered men at that time. So sad, because He told them He would be rejected and killed but they were so focused on their own selfish dreams they did not listen to what He said. It was only after His resurrection and His explaining the scriptures to them that they had a change of heart and went on in His work and even were martyred for Him.

Matthew 27:52-53 says that when the temple veil was torn, the tombs were opened and the bodies of many holy people who had died were raised to life and went into the holy city and appeared to many people. Could you explain more about these two passages? I thought that when Christ comes again, the bodies of everyone will be raised again for final judgment. This seems like such an important revelation, but it is only mentioned in this passage in Matthew. Thank you. Bible Answer: Matthew 27:45 tells us that it was the sixth hour in Jewish time, which would have been 3:00 p.m. At that time total darkness occurred. Verses 50-53 tell us that Jesus died and immediately the veil in the temple was torn from the top to the bottom. An earthquake occurred, rocks were split, tombs were opened, and many saints were resurrected. The question is, “Why were people resurrected when Jesus died?” What happened when Jesus died? Matthew 27:45, 50-53 records the resurrection of some people after Jesus died on the cross. The passage says, Now from the sixth hour darkness fell upon all the land until the ninth hour . . . And Jesus cried out again with a loud voice, and yielded up His spirit. And behold, the veil of the temple was torn in two from top to bottom, and the earth shook; and the rocks were split, and the tombs were opened; and many bodies of the saints who had fallen asleep were raised; and coming out of the tombs after His resurrection they entered the holy city and appeared to many. Matthew 27:45, 50-53 (NASB) For those that were present on the day that Jesus died, there were at least four major signs that screamed loudly that Jesus was not any ordinary man. He was God. The first sign was an unusual darkness that was discussed by secular historians. Secular historians attempted to determine how this could have occurred. Today, we know that there is no scientific explanation for what happened. The historians state the darkness occurred in the middle of the day. Since Passover had started, there was a full moon since Passover occurred at full moon. A solar eclipse was not possible since the sun would have been on the far side of the earth. Also, a solar eclipse cannot occur during a full moon. What happened was a miracle with no scientific explanation. The second sign that occurred was that the temple veil was torn from the top to the bottom and not by human hands. The temple veil was four inches thick and could not have been easily torn. The next sign was the occurrence of an earthquake. No ordinary person can cause an earthquake. The fourth sign is that many graves were opened after the resurrection. Then those in the now open tombs were resurrected and walked around the city. All four miracles reveal that Jesus was God. Read the testimony of the centurion and the soldiers keeping guard over Jesus as they proclaim, “Truly this was the Son of God.” (Matthew 27:54). The total darkness and the tombs opening up on their own cannot be caused by any human. These were signs at the time of the crucifixion to everyone present that Jesus was God. Why were people resurrected after Jesus died? Notice that the people who were raised were many and not all. These saints were under the old covenant since Hebrews 8:6-9:28 reveals that Jesus’ death and resurrection instituted a new covenant. Thus, these saints were some of the Old Testament saints. They received their glorified bodies when Jesus died on the cross. John MacArthur states, Who were they? Saints. What are saints? Holy ones from out of the Old Testament era who were waiting for their resurrection, who had been waiting perhaps a long time. When Jesus died, their spirits came from the abode where righteous spirits dwell and were joined with glorified bodies that came out of those graves.1 Also, notice that there is a break in time between the resurrection of these saints and their appearance after Christ’s resurrection

There is prophetic symbolism in Jesus’ act of washing the disciples feet as well - He was preparing them by cleansing and anointing the feet for their walk as apostles before being sent out to evangelize.

Why is so DIFFICULT for people to understand that Jesus Christ is the PERFECTION of Lord God Almighty given to us ? All we need to do is accept this PERFECTION by FAITH and REST in God's given PERFECTION to us. How we serve God is by loving everyone, forgiving, having mercy, by humbling ourselves and realizing we are not perfect, Jesus was perfect, so he humbled himself and died once for all, he did not have to humble himself as he was perfect, we are not perfect, therefore we should all be humble and never condemn anyone in our heart as Jesus said, I did not come to condemn the world.

This video shows that you are very much on the trail of what the dual nature of Christ’s work was on the earth. It was a two fold mission. To reconcile both flesh and spirit back to the Father. Long ago there was one of the classical arguments of the church that posited that Christ was all deity and so could not have actually suffered. But my thought is that it would have made his mission a lie...All I know is that back when he was praying in the garden he said that what the Father asked him to say and do he did and said without hesitation...time and space do not permit me to go into all of this but your video is well done,,,much respect for your effort

Jesus is not the first resurrection from the dead (about 9 min. mark). However, as Adam the perfect man failed and brought sin into the world ....Jesus not only atones with the ransom sacrifice he shows all the perfection of God's love exhalting Jesus by name and deed above the watchers....

Hi there..😊 Question.....because what you said makes sense...but I do have a question or 2? *** and please forgive any misspelled words or typos, I'm a single mom with a two-year-old and it sometimes it's just easier to use Text-to-Speech....LOL And I apologize for the lengthy question. So...in regards to Revelation 20:4 I saw Thrones on which were seated those who had been given authority to judge. And I saw the souls of those who had been beheaded because of their testimony for Jesus and because of the word of God. They had not worship the Beast or his image and had not received his mark on their foreheads or their hands. (They came to life) and reigned with Christ A Thousand Years. The rest of the Dead did not come to life until the Thousand Years, this is the first resurrection Ok....My question is, in this verse, it states that the ones who were killed. The ones who were beheaded and (came back to life). Shall reign with Christ on Earth for a thousand years. It specifically States that they came to life. Not that they survived end times and then stayed here on Earth until Christ came to reign. It specifically States the ones who were beheaded. The ones who were killed because they did not take the mark or receive the Antichrist....they gave their lives through beheading.... and so reigning with Christ for 1000 years will be there reward. Because the next section states that the rest did not come to life until the day of judgment. But it gives no concept to prove that anyone who survives Armageddon.... anyone who survives the last days... will stay and transfer over or remain in 1,000 years....with the beheaded faithful. So with everything you said that does make sense. It also has me questioning about the ones who make it to the end and are still alive. Because what I've been taught and the way that the Bible reads.... it almost seems like nobody who is not beheaded will reign with Christ for 1,000 years. He will only have his complete and faithful elect with him for 1000 years.... the ones that actually died under be-heading for his word Can you explain this further? And please, I know many people get combative and very angry when text is turned on its head and new things come out and it goes against what people have learned in the past. I am not one of those people. I am truly trying to understand exactly what the word of God says. I truly have been studying for many many years now and I've always been a child of God....... but I have also been brought up in a Baptist religion and in Assemblies of God. And also in the Masionic Jews for Jesus. So my understanding of the Bible is sometimes a little different... compared with many others who have been raised in a single "religion " or are just waking up and understanding Christ now. So to hear what you have to say because a lot of what you say does make sense to me...., I'm just very curious on your thoughts because after you give me your thoughts.... I will go back and speak to God and he will let me know what the truth is. Because no man can speak the truth like the Holy Spirit can.❤ And the reason why I delve into this part of the Bible so deeply is because of a dream I had when I was 3 years old. I no longer obsess over Revelation. But every once in awhile I find myself going back and of course like everybody ....being intrigued by the book. It is a fascinating book. But to obsess about it is to actually remove what God wants us to understand. He wants us to understand his way and walk in his walk not just read a book and obsess about it over and over again. That's not why I question, what I question. The dream I have has given me hope and assurance and also conflicted me a little bit.... literally.... since I was a little girl when I had it when I was three years old almost four. There is a lot of detail to the dream so I will try to make it as short as possible. But when I get towards the end of the dream you will understand where my confliction lies. In my dream I woke up on a mass of clouds. And standing in front of me was Jesus. But I could only see from the chest down. I never saw his face. Or if I did I do not remember it. The moment I realized I was on a cloud I literally begin to feel like I was going to fall through. Because I realized it was a cloud and when I began to sink... Jesus reached his hand out and pulled me back up and spoke into my mind and said " I will never let you fall." I was then placed on another set of clouds that basically just covered the entire Sky. You could not see anything else. And to my left and to my right we're hundreds and hundreds possibly even thousands, of other children of all ages. From my age, younger, and young teens...maybe up to age 10. Jesus asked us to hold out our hands... and so we held out our right hands and all of a sudden these colorful, gem looking Jelly Bean type of things were suddenly in our hands. (There is no way possible for me to describe what they look like but they looked like very colorful and every single one a different color, and they shimmered and they sparkled) Some of the children had just a few in their hands. Some of the children had a lot in their hands. I personally had somewhere from what I could tell, between 8 and maybe 10 in my hand? And he told us to eat them. And we did. Then suddenly he was standing in front of us, and as we sat, eating facing him. He said, " stay here, I must leave for a little while but I will return" Then he turned around and began walking away from us and then just disappeared into the clouds. And when he disappeared, the clouds underneath where he was, parted, and I was able to see below the clouds and what I saw was astonishing We were hundreds and hundreds of miles above the Earth. But I wasn't looking at the globe of Earth..... I was looking at an ocean and a sea shore and there were people. The left was the ocean, or the Sea. And the entire sea was covered with so many people that they just looked like millions and millions of ants. Standing On Top of the sea And to the right was a reddish type of a sandy beach with hills and cliffs off to the very far distance and there were people covering the beach and land... and there were just too many to count. And what I was looking down upon was a war. A battle about to begin. The people or figures that I saw to the left...over the sea... were in black and red. And the figures, or people, on the land on the right hand side were people and possibly even Angels. And all of them wore white and blue and gold and held flags of white and gold and turquoise or blue And I suddenly woke up. I don't expect you to decipher my dream. 😊 I don't think anyone can decipher my dream. And I've thought a lot about this dream and the possibility that before the battle of Armageddon I probably die. And are taking up to God...... Or it has also crossed my mind that I would be at a Rapture point. Right before the battle of Armageddon. Right before Jesus returns. Of course, considering, that his time is not our time. And that many years even hundreds of years can pass between all of these event.....i have considered this too. So whenever I discuss with anyone about Revelation. It always takes me back to my dream when I was a child. And it always has me questioning the Rapture. And it always has me questioning the coming of Jesus and how it will happen and will I still be here And of course, will I go on to the Thousand Years? So the more I delve into the scriptures.... I just find it fascinating. And I kind of have to laugh sometimes. Because I can't even count the amount of times that I've asked God to explain these things in detail to me and he just says, wait. Just wait. So I am waiting on his answer. And at the same time also intrigued at what others think. And trying to break down certain parts of the Bible so I can personally understand it to a higher degree of understanding than what I have been taught in the past....in various religions and their interpretations of the bible I'm sorry this is so long I just kind of wanted to cover exactly what my question was and kind of where you can see where I'm coming from. Even though I probably made it more confusing.... lol My mom brain is not working well these days 😊 God bless you. And if you dont get back to me its ok. Its Gods will. Praise Jesus🙏 Christina
