Hello! We are from Budapest, Hungary. We happened to find your language learning video, since then we really love your channel. We're studying Japanese and English as well. You got clear voice and understandable, also it's so nice that your videos has subtitles. Keep going and thank you very much! ❤

Honestly, I never expected to connect with your channel this much. I started watching because of the BL stuff, but your voice and personality just hooked me. It's so easy to listen to. I was just in Thailand for a month, trying to find work. Bangkok felt like a dystopian city, and all the content I saw about Thailand was about this super-rich, Western lifestyle - totally out of reach for most people. But I guess that's who they're trying to reach. After actually experiencing the culture there, your videos feel really comforting. So much of what's out there about Thailand isn't real life. Even when you got emotional on camera, I totally understood. I'm about to be away from family and friends, probably get rejected a bunch while job hunting, and face some serious culture shock. Your Japan vlogs make me feel like I'm not alone in this whole "figure out my life" journey. Thanks for sharing your experiences!

Thanks for the video. I only visited Japan for a limited time, so it's interesting to have more insight to how it is to actually live there. When I went to Japan the first time I made the mistake to go in July/August...never again! It sucks so much to finally be in Japan and everything you can think about is when you can finally get home because you're melting. It's actually interesting that most apartments in Thailand seem to be furnished. Here in Germany you have to buy everything and if you're lucky there's an old kitchen in your flat you could use but also have to pay for to either the landlord or the former renter who left it there.

As an Australian living in Queensland, I thoroughly enjoy your videos. They are very informative, and your ungilded frankness is refreshing. I always learn new things about Japan from your chats. If you have any interest in art, I would suggest a visit to the National Gallery of Western Art in Tokyo. It has what must be the largest collection of paintings by Renoir and Cézanne, as well as paintings by Matisse, Van Gogh and others. Of course, that stuff might not be to your taste (yet), but it's just a suggestion. I look forward to more of your chats. BTW I like seeing the subtitles in the beautiful Times New Roman font.

I haven't finished watching yet but wanted to comment on what you said about Japanese people being really friendly and helpful - I've been a couple times and found the people to be some of the nicest I've encountered anywhere. I went before smart phones were a big thing so couldn't use Google Translate - so language was definitely a barrier. But it didn't stop them from being so helpful if we needed directions or had questions. I haven't been back since 2011 but it's on the top of my list to visit again soon.

As somebody who recently got accepted to go to Japan soon to study abroad as a part of a program at my community college, I was curious on what maybe my experience might be, although I am part Japanese, I haven't necessarily been to exposed with Japan yet so I am a bit nervous, but also excited and who knows maybe I can transfer to a university there! But thank you so much for sharing your experience. It means a lot. :,)

Interesting takes. I always feel conected to you judging by our similar opinions on stuff. I'm trying to go studying in Japan in next year, but it's quite difficult (and much more expensive) from a country which is banned from the rest of the world. We have full furnished appartements here, too). I didn't know about butsuke ojisan at all, but i did about summer. I live in a pretty north located city, so the Tokyo summer must be an eventfull time... looking forvard to hear from your adventures more!

in Japan, there is a term called "butsukari otoko" which translates to "bumping man," referring to men who deliberately bump into women, often considered a form of harassment or a way to express frustration; this behavior is not widely accepted and is considered inappropriate.

I’m not trying to tie everything to BL, but just because you are an actor and someone who works as a BL actor it would be really fun as a suggestion for you to go to the BL café in Japan because I’ve seen a lot of random KZbinrs go that have nothing to do with the BL industry so they get really flustered or shy and shocked when they go because of the reenactments the staff is doing❤ I’ve would really love to see the reaction from a perspective of an actual BL actor.❤

Hi from Lyon (France) ^^ There are 2 types of rental for apartments : furnished and unfurnished rental. Personnally I don't want to bother with eletrical appliances so I always live in full furnisched apartements. It's more expensive but peace of mind have a price lol. I don't have watch that much of your videos but I really like the behind the scene of being a actor ^^ Have a good day !

Honestly if I know I'm going to a different continent-culture for longer than a months and want to work there seriously it should be common sense to learn at least the beginner to medium level of that language. I don't know, I think anything else is just mean towards the locals and could come across as a bit respectles or culturally insensetive. 😉 😉 I really can't imagine anyone on the Asian continent oversleeping like as if that wasn't a total human thing to happen once in a while. One time, here in Germany my local female bus - driver and I overslept on the same day made me 🤭a bit. I think it's adorable when the younger they are they're more liekely to be like "Look human doesn't look like us, let's show them our world!" a few adorable examples have been caught on camrea in the last 7-10 ish years..but I think that's also lucky to meet them...kind of right time, right place, right vibe thing. And I guess it's true at the end we're all human just figuring out that strange thing called "Life&living it!" 😉 😉

I like listening to Perth's stories but I noticed he likes to correct himself so as not to offend anyone. You have to make a stand and not be too sensitive about stuff and be afraid to offend. It's damn if you do and damn if you don't, so just say what you want to say and not be too insecure about what or how you say things. What I'm saying is, grow a pair, man.
