Honestly, I never expected to connect with your channel this much. I started watching because of the BL stuff, but your voice and personality just hooked me. It's so easy to listen to. I was just in Thailand for a month, trying to find work. Bangkok felt like a dystopian city, and all the content I saw about Thailand was about this super-rich, Western lifestyle - totally out of reach for most people. But I guess that's who they're trying to reach. After actually experiencing the culture there, your videos feel really comforting. So much of what's out there about Thailand isn't real life. Even when you got emotional on camera, I totally understood. I'm about to be away from family and friends, probably get rejected a bunch while job hunting, and face some serious culture shock. Your Japan vlogs make me feel like I'm not alone in this whole "figure out my life" journey. Thanks for sharing your experiences!

All of you Perth is aestethic! You have a unique style that match very well with your personality (and you forniture too) A long time not coming here but always ending mesmerized with only listening you, talking about your experience and perspective of life. I love how your face lights up for that mantis, and let all aside for a photo. For sure I'll do the same. Moving alone to another city is a challenge and a good opportunity for know ourselves better, but it's hard sometimes because is start from zero and without a familiar person who supports us or make more easy the change. Is good to see that you can live comfortably there and learn a lot of things that make your life easier. Thanks for be the person that you are and for convey your opinions and feelings in all that you do. I'll be hoping about that camara content, because seems so relaxing, enjoyable and very zen at the same time Have a good Hollidays Perth!

As an Australian living in Queensland, I thoroughly enjoy your videos. They are very informative, and your ungilded frankness is refreshing. I always learn new things about Japan from your chats. If you have any interest in art, I would suggest a visit to the National Gallery of Western Art in Tokyo. It has what must be the largest collection of paintings by Renoir and Cézanne, as well as paintings by Matisse, Van Gogh and others. Of course, that stuff might not be to your taste (yet), but it's just a suggestion. I look forward to more of your chats. BTW I like seeing the subtitles in the beautiful Times New Roman font.

Thanks for the video. I only visited Japan for a limited time, so it's interesting to have more insight to how it is to actually live there. When I went to Japan the first time I made the mistake to go in July/August...never again! It sucks so much to finally be in Japan and everything you can think about is when you can finally get home because you're melting. It's actually interesting that most apartments in Thailand seem to be furnished. Here in Germany you have to buy everything and if you're lucky there's an old kitchen in your flat you could use but also have to pay for to either the landlord or the former renter who left it there.

What your friend said about Japanese being more helpful to foreigners, I would say I agree. When I was living there with my ex, it was almost glaringly obvious how they would almost ignore him and just focus solely on me. I was a bit nervous because we lived in a neighborhood not too close to city center and although some people were taken aback by a random Mexican walking about, I honestly felt more welcomed than he did.

in Japan, there is a term called "butsukari otoko" which translates to "bumping man," referring to men who deliberately bump into women, often considered a form of harassment or a way to express frustration; this behavior is not widely accepted and is considered inappropriate.

I haven't finished watching yet but wanted to comment on what you said about Japanese people being really friendly and helpful - I've been a couple times and found the people to be some of the nicest I've encountered anywhere. I went before smart phones were a big thing so couldn't use Google Translate - so language was definitely a barrier. But it didn't stop them from being so helpful if we needed directions or had questions. I haven't been back since 2011 but it's on the top of my list to visit again soon.

Another very engaging video, which was a pleasure to watch. The background setting had a welcoming vibe as well. I assume already being fluent in Japanese must have made things easier when you first moved to Japan. If I understood you correctly, you suggested that there are some types of people who are the same the world over despite local cultures and circumstances. I've also found that to be the case after working in various different countries. And what you said about people in Japan being ready to help people from outside Japan certainly resonated with me. I still remember all the help I got trying to find a piece of manga like architecture near Shibuya that I particularly wanted to see. (You might like to check it out for yourself if you have some free time - Aoyama Technical College) Anyway, thanks again for a video update on your life in Tokyo 👍
