I THINK THOS WAS HELpful in helping me understand the study structure in UAL, But I had a question i got into UAL foundation year at camberwell, and I want to pursue graphic design eventually, I dont know exactly which course I will end up picking but, When people say UAL is very independent in the way that teachers teach, what does this really mean, is everything really loose, and you just self direct and guide all projects and assigned work? Also what's the difference between level 3 and level 4 course?

Hello Alice!! Thank you for you video, they're very informative, both of the videos on Design for Art Direction are super helpful! I am coming in for MA Design for Art Direction this fall, although it's MA but it sounded like it could be some overlapping with your BA curriculums. I wonder if we would cross path on campus or classes haha! But hopefully I get to meet you at LCC this fall :)

Thank you for explaining, I just got an alternative offer for design for art direction in lcc (I applied for graphic and media design at first),but I’m still very confuse about whether I’m going or not,🤔I mean I like trying new things and express new ideas,but I’d also like to practice my design skills,and this course sounds like it’s kind of a less popular course (I mean only I got the offer for that in my class)so I’m really confused about go to RMIT for communication design or go to ual for design for art direction

Omg same , I want to try out art direction because I like directing , writing stories and expressing ideas . I’m just not involved in art but performative arts and writing. However I’ve done art and design my whole life and I thought I’d be going for illustration and design in college. IM SUPERRR CONFUSED !! I really need someone to clear it out for me haha

@@macroni6282 🤔I think I have to go to rmit, because after I finish my undergraduate study, I may also go to graduate school, so it is good to consolidate the foundation in a relatively preliminary stage

Hey, thanks alot. I want to apply to MA Design for Art Direction at UAL. I don't know if you could talk more about if there are oppotunities for you to take a short course from another discipline there while you study, maybe because it could help your work. And you mentioned a lack of workshops. Are there seminars, guest speakers and collaborations, and certain field stuff for art direction students then? Do you work while you study? Is that easy for you? How do the tutors advise you in your project as you progress in it?

What courses in ual are more structured and don’t require independence? Are there any?? From my point of view it seems that all of the universities give you more freedom and almost no guidance

Hi Thanks for such an informative video. However, I'd like your guidance on something. I am thinking about taking up a Short Online Course in Performance Design for Set and Theater at UAL. The classes are of 10 weeks, with once each week and for 2.5 hours. Even though the classes would be live, do you recommend it's a viable option? I'll have to arrange for funds as well as its a bit expensive for me too, so what do you recommend?

you can do whatever you want, but they won’t teach you how to do vr. there might be a more specific vr course
