Lol! Best video! Reminds me of my sons! I am autistic and so is my oldest son. My younger son is typical. Couldn’t be more opposite in personality either. I’m showing them this video when they are home from school!!! Yes it can be a challenge for them too! The LEGO heads thing...they’ve been there! When they were little my oldest was echoing his teacher’s techniques to teach my youngest. “What day is it?” He asked. My youngest answered “Bathroom day!” And took off running with oldest shouting “no!” behind him. (I got that one on video). Now every time a similar instance plays out we refer it as a “bathroom day” scenario!

Hi Connor, I have 13 year old twin daughters with one of them on the Autistic spectrum, so her sister is a young carer. Your sister Lauren is AMAZING and would love to put her in touch with my daughter. You are both very funny and have a great relationship. Thankyou for sharing your video x

Wow your guy's conversation reminds me of my best friend and I. I'm a only child, so I don't have any siblings. I might have Asperger's (not officially diagnosed yet) and my best friend is basically like my "adopted" sister. The way you guys talk in this video is basically me and my best friend. My best friend is basically like Lauren and I'm like Connor. And even though we're not related, people think we're siblings because we are always seen together. She deals with the struggles and craziness of me and my problems 😂 Cool video, definitely relatable:) ~A.Kinz

yay, sibling relationships are fun. I have a younger sister and she’s the best. I died laughing with Lauren's disbelieve on how you ended your video with the wand. Which by the way i think is the best. Why not?Siblings! you can't live with them, you can't live without them.

Probably 3 of my sibiling are also on the autism spectrum - we are 7 - and non of us is diagnosed because we live in egypt. Any way usualy i feel normal at home because 4 of us are similar to each other but my youngest sister is "normal" and she usually corrects me in social Situations like " say thank you " or " its rude to read while visiting a family friend even if i am really bored ", i am 22 years old, and she is 14 😅

I’m autistic, my older sister isn’t, she’s my best friend, she has to explain situations for me to be comfortable enough to do something, my sis can be emotionally blunt towards my anxiety sometimes but she is getting better at understanding my limits. My mom is amazing with me and she is teaching me how to handle situations when I need to do something myself and she teaches my sister how my mind works. My older brother just thinks I’m a lazy slob, has no desire to understand autism and makes fun of me when I stim, causing lots of fights with him and my mom.

Great video, Connor and Lauren. Great to see Autism in the point of a sibling. I have two older step siblings who are between 14 - 25 years. I'm not sure how they reacted towards a younger step sibling but it's something I may or may not know. And yes!!!!! Please do a Q and A. 😊😀

Conner, I really enjoy your videos, I am diagnosed with asperger syndrome, I found out when I was 16 and now I am 21 1/2 years old, so I have known it for about 5 1/2 years now, but sometimes I wonder if I am misdiagnosed cause I do try new foods, very rear though, but I do mostly eat the things I actually like, but sometimes I can eat different food too, even though I don't eat it that often, thing is I never really experienced anything with texture, but rather taste, so I don´t know. But I love all of your videos and this is the best channel I have ever seen so far, I have seen Invisible I and TheAspieWorld, but this I really love.

I love going over to my eldest sister's, we nearly always talk far longer than we plan to, but much is sorted in our heads afterward (both minimal Spectrum). Individually we end up missing things in ourselves and have slightly different memories and perspectives from childhood, but together, these slot into place and we both feel a lot better for it :) She's awesome :D

Ok I must've taken parts of this the wrong way..since I was thinking how insensitive or even cruel your sister can be to you (saying that with all due respect), but hey I'm on the spectrum as well and so probably did indeed misinterpret those bits. Such a cute and funny video overall !!!

I’m an autism sis. I’m also awaiting assessment. (South Lincs farmer’s wife, if you recall). My story couldn’t be more different. My brother needs 24 hour care. He also has complex learning difficulties and mental health issues. Your thoughts on empathy are particularly interesting. My brother and I both have high degrees of empathy. We can tell how someone is feeling with ease. The issue for me personally is understanding the reason why. For example I have often noticed a negative atmosphere in my workplace. I then becomes stressed and anxious because I don’t know why. Then when people suddenly cheer up and start laughing and joking with no logical explanation or reason I get really confused. How can everyone be so angry/stressed one minute and happy and cheerful the next with nothing in between?

I'm also 19 and i've got a sister who is 3 years younger than me! I'm a girl though. I think i have autism, but i haven't gotten a diagnosis yet. Anyways I've got a really good relationship with my sister. We take care of each other. My sister is a lot more mature then i am in many aspects, I'm just slightly more responsible. She's younger yes, but she's taller and i have a baby face which makes people think i'm the younger one. It's okay since she acts more mature so yeah. I usually go out with my best friend or sister. i'd be totally lost without them in social situations. I help my sister with her school work and she helps me with social situations. She doesn't know i have autism, but she's always telling me how weird i am. She probably wouldn't be surprised if she found out. Our interests are very different, she's girly while i'm a boyish. She does get bored when i go on about something i'm interested in and she tells me to stop if i went on for too long. We do fight like any other siblings, but i guess we get along pretty well mostly. I also have a younger brother who's 8. My brother and i have a lot of similar interests so we'd go on and on about a particular video game and we play a lot of board games together. It's funny, when we talk about a game no one else in my family gets what we're talking about and they're like what.

Nice video, Lauren's cool and you guys have a great relationship. Actually, I admit I wish my relationship with my sisters was a little bit more like this. Rant below: We have very little in common and our parents had a nasty separation about ten years ago which doesn't help. Plus my mum can be very manipulative and abusive but she's always nice to them. What upsets me most about the situation is that sometimes they will use my condition to their advantage. My mum has played the card of the 'long suffering single mother with an autistic child' and claimed my dad is manipulating me and I can't see it. Then my sister once claimed she 'sacrificed her childhood' to take care of me and accused me of throwing it all back in her face when I moved in with my dad and stepmum (after a bad fight, my mum threw me out).

I can relate to Lauren on such a level it's almost ridiculous. I too have an older brother who is autistic thou I think a little more severe than Connor. I'm dyslexic as well. I too adjust, basically how i think when I talk to different people. Also when I was younger I was made the babysitter of sorts (and was not happy about it at times) and my method also was to tell him get a grip 😂. And lastly I had the same conversation practically verbatim with my mom many times (about "but he's the older one). On the other hand I never had such a connection to my brother. He had quite the anger issues and we hated each other for a long while. I'm now 21 and he is 23 and I think we now tolerate each other quite well and even get along at times. So yeah I've never heard of someone who grew up so similarly and YOU GO GIRL👍

I'm 5 years younger than my sister. We have some similar interests, but we have never been close like that. I'm envious. I am mainly self diagnosed with high functioning Autism/Asperger's (I say mainly because my last therapist agreed with my assessment, but she's not qualified to diagnose. I can't afford official diagnosis as an adult in the U.S. I'd have to be tested in Baltimore, so my husband would need time off because I can't drive long distances, etc. Even if I could pay for the testing, more difficulties arise.)
