I am a survivor and whenever someone asks me how did I react to losing my hair, it's exactly how you are doing. Never brushed my hair, never washed it, didn't want to see my pillow case in the morning after waking up. Once my mom got annoyed seeing my hair all clumped and brushed it out for me. She hid half the hair that came out and showed me the rest saying 'see not many came out'. Later I saw her disposing all of them and crying. This was perhaps one of the hardest part of my journey to keep seeing my hair fall out like this and i refused to even touch or pull out the loose strands. It seemed like a never ending doom, ngl. My doctor saw this and told me to willingly get it all shaved off as the more it falls, the worse it feels and then he said 'you can either cry watching it fall or feel happy seeing it grow again'. That changed my whole perspective and gave me so much of strength to let them go finally. Later after a couple of years, my hair re-grew to a lovely set of healthy curls. Thank you for sharing your experience, you are very brave ❤ Wishing you a speedy recovery!

Yooooo! When I washed my hair and two handfuls of clumped hair came out I broke down crying and screaming and my husband had to climb into the shower with me to calm me down….. it’s so weird how much power we think hair gives us. Keep fighting doll! Much love and hugs ❤️

Oooh this sent me back. I have alopecia, lost my waist-length hair when I was nine years old. I would wake up feeling like I was being strangled by what used to be my pride and joy. Honestly, it was a living nightmare until I finally had to shave it fully off for a wig fitting. It was the most freeing thing I've ever felt. My parents and I cried and cried, but I felt so much better in the end. That's probably not a solution for everyone, but ey. Good luck in your journey, and never let anybody dull your sunshine~ 🌞

I’ve actually been blessed enough to donate my hair twice in my life! I remember being so excited and proud the first time (I was like 8) and it’s such an awesome feeling to be able to help other people with something so simple. It took a few years to grow back to the length it was at, but it was so worth it! I highly recommend donating hair if you can :)

I’m going into my senior year and I plan to get a pixie cut and donate all of my hair for this specific reason. Multiple types of cancer run in my family so I have been growing out my hair since I was a freshman for this purpose. My hair is past my waist and it is very thick. I can’t wait to give back to people who have lost so much from cancer. Love you babes!!! 💜 Update turns out I’m not graduating until next year due to lost credits during Covid time so I’ll have even more hair to donate!

I’m so sorry that cancer has struck you with its devilish plans, but I do definitely agree that people should consider donating their hair when they cut it. When I had super long hair (it was up to my upper thighs) I decided to wanted to cut most of it off, it was going to be cut up to my chest. After that I had the opinion of donating it and obviously I donated it. But the problem with donating it is I had barely enough hair to make a wig and I have super thick hair. So it’s kind of hard but it all goes to a good cause so it’s worth it. Praying for a speedy recovery, and don’t forget to keep your head high at your lowest points 💖💖💕💖

When I was younger my mother encouraged me and (mostly)my brother to donate our hair a lot since we both liked to grow it out, then cut it when it was really long. I remember one day I went to a salon and my hair was over a foot and a half long from the root and I told my hair dresser that I wanted to cut a foot off and donate it all and she was so happy and I could just see the sparkle in her eyes when she was cutting, it felt amazing to donate that hair and I’d do it a million times over for that reaction and to help others in need

2 weeks, shy by 1 day. I went to put my hair up in a bun but the hair came away on my fingers. So, I gathered a little bit of hair at a time and secured it with a tiny rubber band. Then I posted to Facebook & Instagram the video for all my family and friends to see what was happening to me. I posted me cutting my hair at the roots one small ponytail at a time. I didn't brush it before hand in fears that I would 'Lose' more hair. I put it in a plastic bag and I still keep my waist length locks in a baggie. I saw the vid you made about your wig made from your before chemo almost killed all your hair. When I save up enough$ mine goes in for a wig creation. I am now 💯% cancer free. Good luck with your journey!!😇

My grandfather went through chemo when I was a kid it was the toughest thing I've watched and after 2+ decades it's the toughest thing I've seen. He didn't win his fight but I hope and pray to my gods you do, he told me one thing tho, hair doesn't make you good looking, eyebrows don't make you good looking nor do clothes, it's you that makes you look good, everything else is material. If you do like many others do and shave your head and eye brows just remember it's material and you don't need them to be good looking, they don't define you, you are what makes you beautiful.

Sorry you’re going through this. My daughter had cancer when she was seven and had beautiful long hair like you. But she was just as beautiful bald

I donated 12 inches of hair when I was around 9 in support of my cousin who got cancer. And people did tell me “you look like a boy” or “where did your hair go?” I never told anyone but my family why I really cut off a lot of my hair. I hope you beat cancer just like my cousin did! Love and support to your videos!!!
