Thank you so much! Honestly, it depends on your budget, preferences and...current rules and regulations. For example, as of yesterday all night clubs in Italy are closed. I celebrated New Years once at Casina Valadier and that was a fun experience. They had an amazing dinner, live music and a dj. It's also one of the best spots to watch fireworks in Rome.

Amna, it depends on what type of celebration you are looking for. If you want to party, go to a nice nightclub or a lounge, I would recommend Milano. If you want more of an intimate celebration, beautiful views - Rome, Florence and Venice are all excellent options.

The more up north you go the colder it will get. I would definitely recommend a nice wool coat or a jacket, boots, scarves, gloves, etc. Dress in layers. That's the key. Keep in mind that weather has been unpredictable lately so we might get colder/warmer than usual December. You never know but it's better to be prepared. Have a great time!

Thank you Janelle! On a Christmas Day most Italians will be celebrating in family, of course. You will have a few restaurant options for sure. I believe Casa Coppelle, Eggs, most restaurants in Jewish Ghetto (that I showed in this video) and of course restaurants at the 5 star hotels. As far as activities, even though most places will be closed, you can just walk around and enjoy Rome. You can also check out Airbnb experiences to see what locals are offering that day. "Midnight mass" actually given @ 2115 (915pm) on Christmas Eve which is said in ST Peter's Basilica by the Pope and is broadcast to the crowds in ST Peter's square. Christmas address given from his balcony every year @ 12pm. Too late to get tickets but you can join the crowds!

Sophie, in February we have a nice mix of warm and cold (-er) days. To be honest, this winter has been pretty cold. But a nice wool coat will do, just make sure to pack a first layer. I usually wear the one I ski in, so it keeps me warm throughout the winter.

You will definitely have to search around as there will be very few options for boat tours in December. I personally would not do it, because I get cold easily. But there are some people who wear shorts the entire winter, so it depends. But yes, in December by the water will definitely be chilly.
