Being that I’ll be departing on a cruise from Rome next month (June 2024), and plan to stay 2 or 3 nights in Rome prior to departure, I found this video helpful. My next step is to research which area and hotel to stay at that is fairly close to the Coliseum and other attractions, and at the same time not too expensive. I plan to view this video again before getting to Rome.

@@TouristtoLocal Actually there was a lot of activity here during WWII. All the way up from the beaches up The Italian Boot right on into Rome. Winston Churchill called it "The Soft Underbelly" while The Allied Soldiers called it" The Tough Old Gut" Because the Valleys and Apennine Mountains up the Boot were heavily defended By The Germans. I remember my Grandfather saying when He landed at Anzio The Germans had all their Artillery sighted from the Mountains onto the Beaches and had a Rail gun called Anzio Annie that could Lob shells at will from 2 miles inland onto the Beaches.

First of all, you cannot see Rome in a day, but they did manage to hit many of the highlights. I live in Rome for part of the year and I still have not seen everything. Secondly, it’s not true that tables and chairs are a sign of a tourist cafe. Yes, Romans take their coffee at the counter in the morning or for after lunch if you have to return to the office, but there are oftentimes tables and chairs if you want something more casual or if you’re meeting with someone. Lastly, there are probably a half a dozen better Carbonara places in Rome compared to La Famiglia. On a better note, Freni e Frizioni is a very good dive bar with great deals.

17.18 They ( those two boys ) do not think you are a celebrities...! They are raced to be mannered and of their age they try to be brave to talk to foreigners and try to communicate. All they do they would do to anybody ANYBODY as they are mannered in the old fashion way as well to learn as it use to be once. This is VERY COMMON for a kids of their age from good family to give respect to those who are oldered than them. and when they grow up they are getting back the same respect of those who are kids in their adult time. This is how we try to get the old GOOD MANNER to be alive and surviev it. You find this in EVERY COUNTRIES in Europe.
