What it’s really like beyond the 30 second clip. Today it was money.

This is a series of clips, all filmed on the same car ride chronologically. Today Dad was focused on money and you can see how it always seemed return to the conversation. Dad offers me money at least three times in this video but my favorite part is the end when he lights up when he sees a father with kids

Dan, this was a lovely visit with you and Ed. Your father's fine principles are so greatly interwoven with his personality.... integrity, responsibility and love of family. I hope the countless people who watch your videos are drawn to the camaraderie and kindness and patience and respect they see you sharing with your father. You and Danielle are a wonderful team greatly helping people learn what compassion and empathy are all about. Thank you for sharing your experiences with us.

My grandfather had dementia in his later years. He carried his wallet until the end and would always pull it out to pay when we ate out. There was nothing in it but a small amount of cash and maybe a few other things to make it seem normal. I am reminded so much of him with these videos especially with the occasional sarcastic sense of humor. The stories....😂

'when kids are little...they have a LONG way to go to grow big & be on their own to take care of themselves', he reflects over that... 'YOU'RE about HALF-WAY there'...then glances out the corner of his eye to catch your response, Dan. WHAT A HOOT ! What a 'punch' line; what a sense of humor ! He is amazing and even though he has Alzheimer’s he still does not want to feel as though he is taking anything from you. He was obviously so independent his whole life 🥰 I remember my mother during her last days, it pained her, she cried to us saying she felt a burden but she was never a burden but it hurt more to know that is how she felt. She raised us, we repaid her with love and care by then being there for her when she could no longer care for herself. I salute you, your wife and your family for the care and love you bring him, it’s not easy but you take it 1 day at a time and just show him love and that’s special ❤
