When you said that you had a lecture every day and no days off was that including weekends?
@jameskim47955 жыл бұрын

I think you just convinced me why I chose engineering instead of pre-med. Would all aspiring medical school students be taking a similar path, or do you want to concentrate on research?
@alextatan98255 жыл бұрын
In Europe Medicine is an Undergraduate degree, you can go to med school right after high school, so I think she’ll probably focus on research.

@@alextatan9825I don’t have high school in the uk so I’m not sure when that is (age wise) but in Europe (UK) we have *_PRIMARY SCHOOL_* : - age 4-5 | RECEPTION (Kindergarten) - age 6-7 | YEAR 1 (2nd grade) - age 7-8 | YEAR 2 (3rd grade) - age 8-9 | YEAR 3 (4th grade) - age 9-10 | YEAR 4 (5th grade) - age 10-11 | YEAR 5 (6th grade) - age 11-12 | YEAR 6 (7th Grade) *_SECONDARY SCHOOL_* KS3 (Key Stage 3) - age 12-13 | YEAR 7 (8th grade) - age 13 | YEAR 8 (9th grade) - age 14 | YEAR 9 (10th grade) - age 15 | YEAR 10 GCSEs - age 16 | YEAR 11 Apprenticeships and things (getting paid to learn), college and A Levels etc. are done when you leave school in year 11. Then you can work jobs. After college you can also do university.

Great video I need some advice for my master in accounting and finance. What is it like to live on campus would u recommend it or not?
@NooStenningVideos5 жыл бұрын
I liked being on campus in first year but it’s been nice to live in an actually city after freshers! Otherwise it’s a bit of a bubble

Hi Noo, I am thinking about studying biochemistry and genetics - does biochem have a lot of maths? Does a person need to be good at maths? (I am bad at maths - I have a 5 in gcse maths) will i struggle & find it hard because i am not good at maths?
@NooStenningVideos4 жыл бұрын
Hi, not nearly as much as I thought it would! I think you may need to do extra maths classes that most unis offer (I did a few in 1st year because I didn’t do a level maths) but for the most part you should be ok as long as you have the required GCSE grade the unis want x

Do you need to be good at maths to do biochemistry at bath? I'm 'good'-ish at maths, I got a 7 (A) at GCSE, but because it was a lower grade I took bio, chem, geography and computer science. I was too scared to take maths cause I did think I would do well. What I meant to ask is do you need A-level knowledge of maths?
@NooStenningVideos5 жыл бұрын
No you don’t need a level knowledge, I think a few unis ask for it but from memory actually only Oxford- I’ve been absolutely fine without though I think you would need to be fairly good at GCSE which a 7 is in my opinion! :)

What jobs can u get into usually with biochem? And wat r u planning on doing after u graduate?
@maryam.aziz015 жыл бұрын
@basil saleh thank u 😊
@NooStenningVideos5 жыл бұрын
Yup all of these! Lot’s of people go in to marketing or even finance for pharm companies too- very transferable degree so you don’t have to just go into science
@Biomeducated5 жыл бұрын
@basil saleh I see much overlap with the jobs I list, which confirms the message I convey in my videos! Thanks! By the way, which job are you doing as a biochem grad?
