What a Master! After watching a lot of these videos, it’s so interesting how he takes into account her personality, looks at her from different angles as he keeps touching her hair and talks to her, etc. It’s so obvious he absolutely loves styling hair ... like a Monet creating beautiful paintings, every woman’s hair he does is his canvas!

Oh sweety, I am in the exact same boat. I’m almost 50 and have both Discoid and Systemic Lupus. You are still the fabulous person you’ve always been. You just have to let go of old milestones and create new ones. I still mourn my career and my confidence, but counting five blessings every day helps. So does remembering that you are still the same person as ever. Every good point you still have. You are way stronger than most and believe it or not, God will use your ailment to bring out things in you that you never expected. Maybe one day you will encourage someone you might have overlooked before because now that you exhaust easily you can recognize it in others so you said something nice to that tired looking stranger. Things like that. Having Lupus is awful and it’s unfair, but it’s not all of you and it didn’t rob you of yourself. You just need to remember that a little more often. I hope you are in touch with your area Lupus Foundation and have a good rheumatologist. God bless!

The thing that stands out to me is that this man knows human nature. We are complicated creatures! He knows women don’t want to be seen as vain, they came here on their own but are still fearful of change. Some are so nervous they talk too much and hey, it puts extra stress on them when someone is filming. Who knows how we would react if we were in the chair! But he tries to put them at ease and at the same time find out what they want and what he knows is going to make them look good and he works them into what HE wants! Really a talented guy! Plus, he allows his Mom to work with him? Wow!

I love watching you work your magic Christopher, but I would also like to see a video that follows just one client through her day there, your analysis, the coloring, the facial, the massage, the makeup, other consultations. Also I see a lot of comments not liking the resistance seen to change. I'm a retired therapist. Not one of my clients really wanted to change; they wanted a better life but were fearful of change. Creating change was a slow step by step process. Stepping stones rather than one big leap into the unknown. A makeover is the same, People want to look better but are afraid of that big leap and the loss of control so Christopher takes the time to assess , to create stepping stones toward the change and hold their hand for the leap.

Love your long hair make overs but I have not seen any short hair make overs ,I have had the same short style for 40 years .I cut, color, perm my own hair, I have always had the talent for hair dressing, but at the age of 71 years I am looking for a new style . Please show some short styles. Thank you Ann

The very end of the video- Judith Light is spot on! If only Judith Light would have not bleached her hair so much. What I feel like I’m failing to say is that she is the best version of Judith Light. What a great makeover! You are darling!

Wow! This is quite a hectic day for you! I'm amazed at how many women come to you for a makeover and say to you, "I'm going to leave it up to your artistic sense, Christopher. I was thinking highlights and some lowlights. And I want my ears covered..." They want to leave it up to you or not. I can understand if they didn't come to you for a makeover. If they came to you to explain to you what they wanted and for you to understand that and just do it, then why did they bother to go? Sometimes those women just talk so much, do they even realize they are telling you two opposite things? Do what you want but do what I say? Fear or control? You are frank but diplomatic. I don't know how you do it. You are the professional. How many times a day do you hear that and then they treat you as if they don't think you are professional. Good example, "I don't want a butt on top of my head." You are a professional and would not do that! This longer video gives a better idea of the things you go through. They want a makeover but don't want to do anything to work at it. Give me a makeover but I don't want to do anything but wash my hair and let it dry. I don't want to put on makeup every day...Aaagh! You are amazing!

Thank you. Quite frequently the conflict of what they say, then negate, then say, then change while I’m in the middle of doing it is challenging. Like... I cut the back and they say...”You’re not going too short are you?” Guh.

Agree! Too much talking when you don't know what you want. Maybe just keep it down to what you DON'T want.

Well, he shows them how to keep the look. It's only the fear of something we don't know or understand that makes women scared to cut their hair. Now they know what to do, their life will be easier, with their new hair.

Hairdressing often requires patience and you have it an obviously your team does too. The background noise is a bit much at times but it certainly shoes the pace and buzz of the salon. Thank you for sharing.
