In this video we go over what it took to fit the 33s on the Land Rover Discovery 1. (Not as hard as you think)

Love this set up! I also have that rubbing issue on the inside of the rear arch on full flex but I’m only on a 2 inch lift and 31’s
@TheUntraveledPath2 жыл бұрын
Yep, it was even rubbing with 245s on

I’m rolling on 2inch lift with 32s Very similar set up Can’t decide if I want 33s Cause it sits at a very nice angle

Setup looks great! Are you still running the stock axles? I’ve thought of going to 285/75r16 on my disco 2 but I’ve heard HD axles are recommended. Also have you changed the gearing? I have 265 tyres and it’s definitely a noticeable change on the road
@TheUntraveledPath Жыл бұрын
Mine is on stock axles and gearing and has been fine. The gearing does need changing though. I will switch to heavy duty axles if I ever add lockers

I ALSO had to trim the inward lips at the Top of the rear arches. Nothing visible but they chewed up my 265/75 KOs before I lifted it. But I hit some HARD trails. +2"" lift and +50mm shocks now. Love those Rear Locator cones! Any link for them?? Thanks for the video man!

Thank you for the comment! Sadly those cones where from a local shop so I don't even know what brand they are

35s on my waggon no problem 💪😊 . I thought I was doing well but there are a few guys on 37s now lol

Yep, it all depends on suspension setup but with Fender Flares and plenty of cutting it's definitely possible

Did your lift affect your drive shaft at higher speeds?
@TheUntraveledPath2 жыл бұрын
There are some vibrations but are easy to fix by using a 200tdi drive shaft coupling. Haven't done it yet though.

Hi, what is difference beatween this two cuplings?
@davidcraemer8227 Жыл бұрын
@@dean0272 I think the 300Tdi has a flexible rubber coupling and the 200Tdi had a metal u-joint.

U/P. There's a reason why "Dick Cepek" Tyres are the preferred rubber fitment on Land Rovers in 255/85R16 size mista ! Has one thought of legally widening the track of a D1 to compensate for lift ? V.
@TheUntraveledPath2 жыл бұрын
Why not? It would be nice to fit some 1-ton axles under there 😉
