Hello non-French people! For viewers, you should know that the rain and low clouds prevented the flight of helicopters for aerial shots, and therefore certain passages dragged on to compensate for these shortcomings. For spectators, you should know that many free places along the Seine have been allocated by companies to their employees, with some military rules to respect: be present 3 hours before the start for example, do not bring anything, do not bring children, be in good health to stand for 6 hours, etc. And yes, ultimately, it was the athletes on the boats who were able to benefit from breathtaking views all along the journey on the Seine!

Wonderful video of your Olympic adventure. It reminds me when I went to see the 2004 Olympics in Athens to fulfill a life long dream of seeing an Olympic Games in person. Bummer the Opening ceremonies was a bust; however, the following days looked fabulous. You are a fabulous couple who seem to travel well together. Looking forward in seeing more of your travel blogs.

I get what u mean getting sick when ur traveling. After a month on the road around the US my bf got sick in Seattle we are from Florida. He stayed at a hotel there while I flew to anchorage to go up in a helicopter to go dog sled and walk on a glacier. Was gone 2 days came bank to Seattle and we both stayed in the room another day cuz he still didn’t feel good. Then after another 2 week after that I got sick in Vegas. Going from live in Fl all my life with humidity that dry weather with travel got me. Glad u got to still experience the games without him especially since it was a bucket list thing. My helicopter ride was my bucket list so I wasn’t missing it. U still had a good time. Thanks for all the footage yall did good.

Thank you so much! 🙏 Going to Paris, Bordeaux, and SW France then Bilbao Spain and Florence Italy soon for 47 days (from Maui). So great to see you folks there. How is the language barriers/difference s/abilities? I only know a few words but learning more. Did you have to use a translator app or Google at all? I'm exploring, house sitting, and going to see friends and to my nephews wedding! So excited but the planning was exhausting for 47 days. I really am loving this video! Finish watching on TV I'm on my phone right now. Safe travels 🎉and thanks again 🙏❣️

OMG thank you for acknowledging how gorgeous all the police were! I swear they had to submit headshots to get this gig: it's not possible that every cop in France is that good looking.

Oh don’t worry - there were plenty of silver foxes there too! If the Olympic theme this year was “games wide open,” the police motto must have been “hot at every age.”

I've been concerned about the sim card for my phone. I'm told i can buy one for my phone at a kiosk at the airport. I'm praying 🙏 this works out because I'm going to be lost without my phone. I get into Paris at 7:30 AM.... I'll be exhausted but have plenty of day time to find one!!? Hopefully! Do you recommend a certain company? Sorry about getting sick! I'm hoping i stay well during my trip.... I'm bringing my vitamins and eating mostly fruits, vegs, and nuts.... raw mostly no cooked food about 80% raw keeps me strong. I might have a little wine but I don't usually drink alcohol....
