New game, a bunch of new players desperate to feel good and powerful, not surprised. Things will even themselves out in time. OW1's cheater problem went way down, after all. I'm sure the same will be true in the sequel. Most importantly: Check. Those. Replays. If you suspect some funny business, watch the replay footage and report only if you see something suspicious. Don't just say "fuck it" and move on immediately without doing anything about it.

I always thought about the idea of an aimbot for anna/bap that makes you land 100% of your shots but only on allies. It would be undetectable. No teammate is going to report you for healing too much and no enemy is going to figure it out because there is no kill cam when healing allies. It's so perfect that there's a good chance it does exists but goes completely unnoticed.

for that hack could code in a feature where if you ads/get your cursor over an enemy it'll turn off the aimbot so you can still have the option to do damage. Frankly I'm all for hacks in games that care more about money than the game itself.

There is also strafe cheat which allows you for example to dodge almost every shot from hanzo on mid or far range. They also automatically strafe forward and backwards when you try to shoot them from unexpected flank

Best cheat i ever seen was a Reinhardt with his Soldier76 bot. He shielded and he followed him with the exactly same movements the different was only the soldier keeps a 2 meters distance from him but always behind him so nobody could hit Soldier even without shield

I've been suspicious of a few players in a lot of comp games in OW2, but the cheaters are very subtle about it. You really have to watch the replay after game too see it clearly

This, and for players who are not as good as most like me, its hard to tell if someone is actually Cheating. I´ve not come across that obvious Cheating yet, but I´ve at some points felt that someone is using an Aimbot. Though I dont call them out for it, and just report it. Much better that way, because they dont feel caught and suddenly stop.

A lot of them seem to turn it on close to the end of the game. I’ve seen several terrible players where they couldn’t hit anything then the last 5 minutes they can’t miss a headshot. I’ve seen several who pre-fire walls and try to shoot through objects, snap on heads through walls. It can be hard to tell though but keeping track of players scores can help.

Personally the problem with Blizzard letting cheaters hang around for awhile before doing mass sweeps is that , I no longer want to play the game after awhile . It does nothing for me except de-motivate me from playing comp at all. I guarantee Im not the only person either. Banning Cheaters in the game should be done as quickly as possible as to not de-motivate people who want to test themselves in fair competition. I see people cheat every day in this game , its just not fun for anyone. They should be dealt with as soon as possible , and there should be a proactive way to make sure these cheaters themselves are dealt with in a more serious way. If Blizzard bans the accounts of these cheaters , who is to say they don't just make another account and use the cheats again?

Welp. Just found a cheater today in comp actually. When he killed me as Hanzo I immediately called out to my team "Guys. . . That Hanzo has some REALLY fishy aim" and explained to them what I saw. The Hanzo was kind of looking at the floor and flicking his mouse upwards at our Orisa, the moment I as a Moira came out of my dash around a corner, he instantly flicked to me and gave me a headshot while seemingly just humping his mouse forwards. I told them to look out for that guy and after a while they all agreed. As he was specifically targeted by us and died a few times, apparently we cracked his tiny ego and he went soldier with utmost perfect tracking even Osu veterans would be jealous of. When we killed him like that too, he went bastion and completely ruined the round for everyone. The way he was aiming drastically changed when he switched from Hanzo to the others. Instead of having spastic flicks whenever he was shooting, he was only flicking once someone died - or someone else got too close to him, then he had perfect tracking. He always went for the closest target to him, regardless if it was the invisible Sombra trying to backcap or the Junkrat doing some mine jumps. Not every good player with godlike aim is immediately a hacker, of course. . . But there is a point where quick flicks into perfect tracking without overshooting the next player with the crosshair for even a moment is just getting too obvious. TL;DR: Skill issue'd in comp. He had a better gamer seat.

Around 2 years ago a friend of mine was good friends with a well known hacker and he showed us some of us reinhardt scripts in a custom game. He had a script to automatically block enemy shatters as well as to instantly shatter an enemy rein when they dropped their shield. Not to mention the firestrike aim bot among other hacks.

the "memory writing" hack is called an internal cheat, it rewrites memory before sending it back to the game. The other one thats less good (they can still be very functional and great though) are called externals which load with an external injector

To be honest, I don't really see how making the enemy outlines a little thicker is cheating. That should really just be an option in the game. Anyone who has a strong prescription eyeglass would benefit from something like that, or color blind people. I've tried the colorblind settings they have in game and they aren't the best. I shoot at my teammates sometimes for a moment before I realize it's them. My eyes aren't the best. It wouldn't be an unfair advantage for someone like me.

If you shoot at your teammates then you aren't doing a bad thing, its better to shoot a good guy than not shoot a bad guy, also it may not be an advantage for you but there are millions of other people it would be, Blizzard doesn't care about the player base in general so you shouldn't expect them to focus on ensuring someone in the minority of said player base is happy as to this company you are worth nothing, same as the rest of us

If yall have ever wanted to understand how these cheats do what they do, look at source engine as a lot of the exploits seen, usually came from source. I wish devolpers did this more often to patch this for theit own games.

All the cheats that worked in ow1 also work in ow2 since its the exact same engine. Blizzard even downgraded their encryption so the anti cheat might be worse than it was in ow1. Also not every memory cheat is injected, there are external and internal ones.
