Jon's mental game is INSANE!! The conversation he had with himself during the Reyes fight, giving himself an out, but ultimately deciding "f*ck that, if he wants it he's gonna have to fight me to the end for it!" is exactly why he's the GOAT!! Most people would've crumbled and hoped to get it back another day, but not Jonny Bones! Respect ✌️

Jon is the fighter that got me into the sport. The first fight i watched was him and Gus number one. Made me get fight pass and watch every fight from the beginning. He’s a huge inspiration to me. People want to give him shit for his mistakes, like their lives are perfect or they dont make mistakes. Man thats what endears him to me even more. I personally cant relate to a guy thats never been in trouble, whose hasnt done things that goes against his character and beliefs. We’re human man. Jon is the mf GOAT!

@darkclaw1462

Yeah, and along with guys like Mike Tyson I believe he’s trying to do the right thing in moving forward, handling his gift from god with grace, and not letting his past being the dictating factor of how people view him in the light of a “monster”. Jon may be no saint, but I respect that he’s willing to right the wrongs in his personal life, while also accepting that he’s not perfect. Like Daniel Cormier said, “there’s good in that dude”.
@InspectorButters4

@@darkclaw1462if DC can forgive him then nobody else has a leg to stand on!! People act like none of us have ever f*cked up too...... if im 23-30 and UFC LHW champ I'm going buck wild as well lol. Jon has demons that's obvious, but he's open and honest, and he's trying to deal with them. What else can we ask from him besides that? I know he seems like freaking Superman but the dude is only human, we gotta remember that and cut him some slack for his past mistakes bc he seems in a good place now. Respect to the GOAT ✌️

Jon has become a global treasure, good man. We need more people like him. Always nice, humble, polite, honest, and down to earth kind of a person. Jon’s success primarily derives from his size (combination of height, weight & reach). His reach of 84.5” is absolutely crazy long. He’s always had a considerable reach advantage and more off than not an insane reach advantage. Gustafson who was the only man taller than Jon (by 1”, which is irrelevant) has a 79” reach. Jon had a 5 1/2” advantage over him. Think about that.

He took 3rd the year before when Matt Riddle won it. Sullivan beat him 2x the only times they wrestled and seeing Jon win that title was impressive. Won a smart 2-1 decision and then went on to take 4th at nationals out of nowhere. Guy is a talent.
