"They look possessed", I can't agree more. They are just such unbelievable talented entertainers. It's on my bucket list once in my life to see a 2CELLOS show. Awesome reaction my man.

They are not together anymore, unfortunately. They decided to end the band (they had a drummer, often, too) amicably.

2Cellos are totally unbelievable musicians. Their official videos are also masterpieces. But their live concerts are on another level altogether. They also have wicked senses of humour

2 Cellos plus Steve Vai - Highway to Hell is spectacular filmed in a music store. In With or Without You filmed in a Roman Amphitheater in Croatia the cellos cry and so do I.

Elton John was on a ep of Ellen deGeneres (many) years ago and he raved about them. I'd also like to point out the other well known Cello player - Tina Guo, if you've ever seen the movie Wonder Woman, Tina has a vid of YT of that. She has so many pieces, both classical and modern (Hans Zimmer' and Metal. Yes, with Tina, Heavy Metal Cello is such a thing

My recommendation would be to react to their official Trooper Overture video. (It's a medley of the William Tell Overture and The Trooper by Iron Maiden) That one is absolutely amazing and personally I like it even more than their Thunderstruck cover
@johnmoore-fm9db2 жыл бұрын
Loved your reaction to this, you mentioned the strings on the bow were coming off and not supposed to play that hard... You are right normally a bow would need to be restrung every 6 month (in an orchestra) that looked half gone in one song, takes a new meaning to "shredding it"
@davesrandomstuff2279 Жыл бұрын
For what its worth... They play up the "shaggy bow" thing for the music videos, but (having seen them in concert) its both real and not. Yes, they're breaking hairs on the bow, but there's only a few after each song and they definitely cleaned them up (tore off the looses strands) after each song. I suspect the bows would look like that if they played for a couple hours without removing the loose strands, but it didn't do that just in the few minutes it takes to play one song.

I love these guys! Look up 2 Cellos Smooth Criminal. They appeared on the show Glee for the Michael Jackson episode. There is a video of just them playing it, but the Glee version has lyrics and singing of course.

Also, since you’ve reacted to Pentatonix, Kevin Olusola plays cello. He has an awesome video where he does the song Down by himself, using an electronic cello and looping digital equipment. He plays that thing like a guitar at the end and it’s excellent

I remembered your reaction on the original. That helped me. Why don't they use guitar,, mate ? It's easier to find and play, I think! But they're so talented, seems that they need to become crazy. The walk of the ACDC guitarist is so cool. Keep your pot on the background bro, your comments are inspired, yes, and very cool. 👍👍👍

Someone suggested The Trooper Overture by 2Cellos. I second that suggestion. I also make my own recommendation: Thunderstruck by Steve 'N Seagulls. Kind of an Appalachian twist.

Now, they are classically trained... I imagine them arriving early to the snooty classical orchestra class and playing this crap for fun... While the instructor walks down the hall approaching his classroom in his high-brow musical college hearing this abusive use of the cello echoing down the hall as he approaches his room! Then the earful of expletives these two guys got for tarnishing the school's atmosphere with this blasphemous cacophony and the myriad of technical rules they have broken to do it! Kudos to them for skirting the struggle of making money and names for themselves. Because making the years of sacrifice and practice pay is difficult in the classical world. Elton John heard them play, then took them on tour as his opening act. PS. People pay hundreds of dollars to rehair the bow.

Please dont call me a "hater" ok? i truly wanted to keep listening to your reaction however....YOUR voice was so much LOUDER THAN THE ARTIST'S that it was blowing out my ears when you spoke (not that I mind you speaking it is, after all, a reaction channel) but i had to turn up the volume to hear the video at an optimal volume thus making your interjections too loud to bear. (edit: I listen on headphones)

So sorry about that and yes I totally agree I didn’t really know how to edit the volumes back then slowly getting better about it haha. Thanks for the help though! 😁
