Chimera is just a very flexible fusion deck that has a solid set of fusions that can be combined with various engines to make up for it's shortcomings. It's also going to keep getting indirect support in any illusion, fusion, or beast monster that comes out since it can play any sort of combinations of them to some use and at worse as fusion material for Chimera. Besides just Fiendsmith engine, you can run Horus Engine to give it a grind game and xyz options. Of course Patchwork engine for more fusions in a turn. Or you can run soon the Azamina/Sinful Spoil cards into the mix since the new fusions can be used in Chimera. Fusion deployment with Cartesia targeting the Granguignol the Dusk Dragon to summon her then use her effect to fusion and an illusion monster to make Azamina Ilia Silvia with just a minimal engine of just like 4 cards in main if you don't want to run Sinful Spoil Deception. Just 2 Fusion Deployments and 2 Cartesia, 1x Granguignol in ED and you can run all the new Azamina fusions in Chimera.

I personally think people who try to protos lock shouldn't have a say if Spooky dogwood needs to be on the banlist when dogwood is one of the only hand traps in the game that lets you live through several turns of protos calling your deck attribute. it's not a toxic card and there should be zero reason why that card should be put on the banlist over cards like Shifter/Protos or other flood gates.

Yea I saw that too but of course, alot of the community will gloss it over and say wow he's skilled or Herman's impressive etc just like with other cheats like Jesse Kotton

@@carlmalek1429 Sure, but how would Jesse Kotton cheat on Master Duel and become World Champion? Even if he is the biggest cheater on the planet, he's still a World Champion level player on a system you cant cheat on........ So if he is cheating elsewhere, like in the TCG, it doesn't diminish his skill. Regardless, its not about excusing any cheating, but people can certainly misplay and not actually be a habitual cheater, like you are claiming. Please share or link to evidence so that the community knows.....since it seems like you and maybe 3 other people on the entire planet thinks someone like Jesse Kotton is cheating.

Honestly I think the LS player was just pretty bad. He pointkessly burned so many resources and ended up playing himself. He was lucky, ran the clock because his plays took so long and thus mitigated the L he was gonna take. (I run LS Smith myself)

Gabriel Netz is one of the best players in the world. He was literally at the World Championship this month. But yes, he did misplay. And it seems he picked up the deck like a week ago and decided to screw around. And of course they are going to feature a Worlds player, whether or not the player even cares or knows the deck they are playing. Would have been nice if he took the YCS more seriously though. Lightsworn has always been fun to watch.

Dogwood isnt the issue. The issue, is that people think its an issue. The card is and was a meta call, and when its used on you, you obviously dont like it. However, it exists, and is balanced. Dont like it? Win in time. 🤷🏾‍♂️

Dogwood is like Maxx c, is seen as necessary but should not exist in the first place and the root problem should be addressed

the problem is people take 20 minutes to do a combo when you know they can do them in like 10 but like to drag it out for no reason. just watch them play when there is like 10 minutes left on the clock they suddenly play faster if they're losing or slower if they're up a game to steal the win. also if dogwood gets banned people will start crying to get time cards banned that burn the opponent.
