Yes, I enjoy hearing others' opinions on my favorite anime episodes. However, it's rare to find KZbinrs who provide anything truly engaging-most simply play the anime and toss in a few sighs or "oofs." FLEXIEJAYANIME is a refreshing exception. Her insights are genuinely interesting, and I really enjoy listening to her perspective. I found whole nakedness thing endearing and refreshing. Instead of resorting to artificial blushing or awkwardness, the characters set aside any sense of shame to focus entirely on surviving their battle against the aliens. In the end, Momo and Ken felt so close to each other that they didn’t mind taking a small break in an awkward position after their near-death experience. That felt very human-like (and hilarious).

I’m glad I wasn’t the only one who really enjoyed how much depth your analysis brought to the ballet scene in episode 7. My favorite part of this episode had to be Okarun taking Momo’s hand & saying he wants to talk to her about things that bother her. Like, the bit with Momo using decreased water resistance to use Okarun like some sort of human jet ski was impressive (and the animation was top notch), but seeing those two connect emotionally is my favorite part of the show. Also, it’s adorable how Momo swoons every time Ken Takakura or one of his catchphrases gets mentioned.

7:37 Acrosara aka Aira’s transformation mentioned “Ken Takakura”, so MoMo got dokidoki and lost control of her power. 9:34 Okarun just said one of Ken’s famous line, and MoMo got dokidoki and lost control again. Remember back in ep3, when MoMo, Okarun and Seiko granny race to the toilet? Seiko Granny mentioned “Takakura Ken “ and MoMo got dokidoki and paralyzed in the middle running to the toilet. The sound effect is a gunshot, meant it shot right into MoMo’s heart. I’m a manga reader, read till the latest chapter, so I was expecting and looking forward to this. But what I didn’t expect was, they totally didn’t censored nor change nor cutting any of it from the manga. As some of the episodes before, the anime did have some changes to the manga when it comes to Seiko ( MoMo’s granny ) having some of the more sexy poses or angles.

What impressed me the most was the fact that I wasn't shocked at all, when I watched it I just thought, ok Okarun is naked, ok so Momo and Aria are in their underwear, but I laughed a lot during the fights and I always find it funny how at the center of each episode the objective at the end is to save the bananas, Okarun a simple hero, with a noble objective, to save his bananas

As a manga reader I was a bit worried how they’d adapt the ending scene, given that it can very easily lean into the uuuuh, let’s just say the fanservice-y side of anime. But I’m extremely glad that it didn’t feel like that at all to me, and it leaned more into the goofy, absurdity and awkwardness of everything going on! The manga artist has great respect for Ultraman, a classic special effects series, and some of the alien designs in this episode mimic its iconic characters. In this episode, after the mantis shrimp alien transformed, it resembled Alien Baltan. Additionally, the giant monster is a fusion of Nessie and Godzilla. There were several parodies that only Japanese might fully understand. For example, the song sung by the alien Serpo during the mantis shrimp alien's transformation was taken from a commercial for an energy drink called Regain, which aired over 40 years ago. When Okarun transformed again after being stripped naked, the line he delivered-"There are things that are more important than clothes!"-referenced the line "They're still in the middle of eating!" from the drama Kita no Kuni Kara, which aired 50 years ago.

In my country, southeast Asia part, the original version aired about close to midnight in localized muse yt channel. I am pleasantly surprised that the anime version is being so faithful to the manga - but I am glad that they kept that last scene in because it was honestly pretty funny (Momo's "Thank you for being so hard" line was WILD). They play with how much of people's sensibilities they're able to touch, like in the ballerina episode we had a hard, realistic punch that might have been too much for a lot of people, and they still went for it knowing that and tried to make it work because that's the impact they want the story to have. In this episode was the same but in a different direction and style, they just went for it and made it work, and I think that is amazing.
