the funny thing is that what enamoured me about the series is exactly what turns most anime enthusiasts off: the slow pacing, the ambiguity and how certain threads r left hanging up to the viewer's interpretation... and of course the ost with kalafina
@shutup10372 ай бұрын
Agree. The ambiguity and the ost is what make watch it several times
@SlartiMarvinbartfast18 күн бұрын
The thing is, most anime enthusiasts are people who like 'easy access' anime - it often features scantily clad girls, wise-cracking guys, action, explosions, fighting and generally predictably uninspiring writing. Kara no Kyoukai (KnK) on the other hand is very deep, complex, and highly unpredictable. Now I'm not dissing on the majority of anime viewers who like the non-KnK stuff, they may even grow into liking anime like KnK, but the non-KnK anime definitely is not for me as a rule. I'd also recommend other mature anime such as Mushi-Shi and Land of the Lustrous.

This may be an unpopular opinion, but I think that this anime has the best soundtrack to any piece of media ever.

Honestly, i personally think of Kara no Kyoukai LN (and Ufotable movies for the most part) as an masterpiece. I love almost everything in it. Still probably my favorite Type-Moon\Nasu work to this day (tho im yet to fully read Mahoyo). I dont exactly to 100% understand how Kinoko did it, but i feel its basically his first magnum opus, or at very least one of the best Kinoko works to this day. Btw great video, more people should know about KnK (and understand why its damn amazing).

I absolutely agree! Kara no Kyoukai has very quickly become one of my favorite stories in the Nasuverse and I'm surprised how little attention it gets! I know right now Fate is by far the most popular and don't get me wrong I can absolutely see why, I personally enjoy FSN a lot, but I feel that sometimes the smaller works by Nasu go overlooked. I think KnK did some sort of collab with FGO so hopefully that will attract some mobile game players, but I don't really play FGO myself so IDK how good it was.

KnK "Garden of Order" event was really fun! Even tho It mostly was about FGO shenanigans with KnK lore and story elements in it (it explored the state of the Incinerated FGO timelines at the time of FGO Part 1 and the situation in which Shiki ended up, being able to be summoned as a Servant by Void & Shiki dream, as long as she Sleeps, well basicly the whole "Ogawa Apartment Complex become a Singulyarity" the deal) and Shiki being a straight man to some (sometimes silly like Servants living in the Apartment rooms) things happening. Remixed Kajiura music, some artwork and design elements (like amazing CE art with most main characters, and Ghosts as enemy's) was great juicy fanservice. Yeah i hope it attracted more ppl to Rakkyo, since it was having a rerun, with Fujinon as an Archer Servant who is become a Counter Guardian in the FGO events, and will have a rerun as Main Interlude accessible story chapter later.

@@arowmorth damn that sounds pretty interesting I really like the story and lore of FGO but I can never get into the gameplay / gatcha elements haha! But yeah hopefully that will attract a new audience to KnK because it absolutely deserves the attention!

@@3Waifu Yeah, thats fair. Well if you would want to get some dose of yearly (partly silly) FGO story and KnK flavor you actually can always watch recorded "no commentary" "Garden of Order" 2h cutscenes kzbin.info/www/bejne/sGakk5yeqtGrrrc or the full thing kzbin.info/aero/PLBC8w17FA1ct63v71GS-wk4Ks75pKVzES from FGO NA server. That's probably because Shiki is basically an empty person with no understanding about herself. Relate to her character is pratically impossible unless you're a psycopath. While with Tohno, it is easier to relate with. Both characters are amazing

While the Fate series is still my favorite in the Nasuverse I would totally rather have more Garden of Sinners content then another Fate/ Grand Order movie. Also Remaining Sense of Pain has been one of the most difficult movies I’ve ever watched. When it featured that scene I just had to look away it was just too much.

Simply put, the plot revolves around Mifune City and its mysterious yet brutal deaths of its people. A small puppet workshop runs by Aoko Aozaki, but it is also served as a private detective agency that deals with paranormal crime cases. Mikiya works there as an intern. He picks up a habit from his bro who's an officer to investigate a murder case from news. Shiki herself goes to inspect the crime scene. As someone with Mystic Eyes of Death Perception, she has a rush to kill. When she finds the culprit, she gets to stab some senses into them.

@@3Waifu Kara no Kyoukai is a underrated masterpiece. It's just being overshadowed by the other works that Nasu made. I like how you described Shiki and Mikiya's relationship since it made great sense. I love how on the epilogue they literally just explained a lot about Shiki that was clouded in the other movies. Also this was a very good video and I look foward to your next videos. The issue with the Light Novels of Kara no Kyoukai is that you can only read the translation of the books through fanmade translations that aren't even good.
