What kilt can you wear if you have wool sensitivity?

I'm wondering if I might be able to add a lining up to the top edge of my really rough wool kilts to keep from scratching my stomach when I dont tuck in my shirt

Women can wear slip in polyester with kilts. polyviscose. Usually it is the lanolin that is still in the wool. I agree, wear lighter weight wool.

I thought that they would have worn a slip with men's kilts in winter time I know a few bands men that did it. A friend even cut the legs of a pair tights to wear the top half under his.

If the tartan is only available in wool, would it be possible to put a lining in the kilt? Or even in the bottom 2-3 inches of the kilt and wear bike shorts?

You can pay to have a liner put into the kilt as well, most don't like to make it that way - something about being ignorant - the other being lazy. That about sums it up.If your paying for it, than who gives a tartan!

My dad is soooo allergic to wool. Needless to say his clothing options are limited when it comes to formal wear.
