Ahhhhhh😭😭 I love this series, for multiple reasons First because it's... You Secondly it's nice to see you discover what you'd like you message to be Thirdly it's inspiring to see an artist of your caliber "not really have it all figured out", it makes a young artist like me feel OK with experimenting and just make art for the sake of art Fourth it gives me the drive to also try and see how to add more of me in my art✌️✌️✌️

That’s the best way to get out of an art block. Also try exploring the world around you to get inspired. Explore or research different topics and communities as well. That’s what really helped me to get out of art block

It seems like many of the paintings you chose to share have very pastel landscapes juxtaposed with primary coloured focal points/subjects. That would be such an interesting challenge to try … to create harmony between two seemingly contrasting pallets. Love it. Thanks for sharing.

You truly are my biggest inspiration in the art world. I’m starting out myself here on KZbin quite literally because of you and a few other inspirations. Thank you so much. Although I’ll never be as good as you, I’ll always keep you in mind when I click upload on my videos. Thank you!

i love this kinda style of videos, i’d watch you go through any kind of art museums and listen to you talk!!!! so many wonderful observations, i resonated with as well!!! one thing that made eyes spin a little, was the shakiness of the camera and maybe next time you could spend a little more time on the little details of paintings, you are pointing out to us/go up close, i just wanna look at them without pausing the video and go into the painting while you talk about all the little things you see and notice!! but i truly loved this video🥰🥰

It's amazing to see how confident you've become with talking in public, since the very beginning! I hope I can become comfortable with it too in future, but it does feel odd 🥰

There is so much wisdom being produced at the bench after you leave the museum! I wholeheartedly agree with the desire to “add to the conversation.” I’m more of a writer than a visual artist, but the same sentiment is true for my craft. As always, great work!

Omg ive never been this early to a vid, I’m so excited! Especially since, according to the title, it seems ill really relate to this topic and help me develop my art. Edit: I just finished the video and I just wanted to share two things. The first one being: I really appreciate you showing and admiring native art because I personally haven’t seen much people on the internet talk about them, so it makes me really happy that you did! (even if that was probably just a natural thing to you) And second thing: you could maybe try to draw landscapes with animals for them to share a story! I feel like animals and flora can talk so much on their own sometimes, so maybe it would add variety in the way you compose a piece and/or might get your creativity flow more at times, since you’ll have a new category to play with! For example, in lots of the paintings you showed, the horses had so much action and movement that it made the piece lively. Anyways, great video as always and I’m happy to see that we’re on the same art authenticity quest 🩷

i love western art, i live in the south of brazil where we have a LOT of gaucho influence so all my life i've been surrounded by the things in that art, horses, ranches, cowboy boots and hats, and also more brasil especific, a lot of chickens, chimarrão (a brazilian warm drink) and pinhão (also a south brazilian food), so all of that makes me conect to western art so much, gives me that familiar nostalgia, even though i live very differently this days

We recently went to that museum and I automatically thought of you when I saw the "Tidbits" piece. The artwork in that museum has insanely beautiful lighting, textures, and pops of unexpected colors. I'm a landscape girl so I just could not get over the depictions of clouds, rocks, and shrubbery.

This was such a fun video!!! Going to galleries with your own work in mind definitely gives a new perspective on the art. Random slightly related thought that popped into my head: have you ever read Toril Orlesky's comics? they are all set in the west and Gorgeous!

Our local art museum only has rotating collections, and I remember a few years back I went to see a Picasso exhibit, and the other collection on display was a similarly themed Western exhibit. Me and my class did not connect with it very much. Personally, I found many of the paintings to be hyper-masculine and glorifying westward expansion. There weren't many landscapes, and after this video, I am wishing there were! I actually love the lit background, and shaded foreground. The pastel backgrounds and warm, saturated subjects are very inspiring to me. I do get a tad bored of the color palette, though... Great video as always!!

These videos are such an inspiration to me! I never really go out to inspire my art, or create art outside of home but I love the idea of starting to explore that concept. Love your art always, thanks for being you ❤ I always get excited when you post and can’t wait to watch

If you have the opportunity to make it out west (I absolutely think you'd love it in general), I highly recommend Mesa Verde National Park. When I moved from Texas to Oregon, my friends and I did a two week road trip. There are so many stunning national parks in the region, including this one I had never heard of that is a bit off the beaten path. I added it to the list alongside Arches and Canyonlands (we didn't make it to Bryce which I've heard is also gorgeous) but wasn't expecting a ton from it. I don't know if my lower expectations or the fact that it wasn't super crowded affected my perception, but it was freaking stunning with sooo much history about the pueblos and beautiful vistas. Easily my favorite stop of the trip! I know I'm biased because I'm from the west coast, but this enitre half of the country's landscapes fills me with the best energy. There are so, so many things to see 🥰
