Got so many cute blankets, even made my own liners, only for one of my kits to chew it:/ I guess they're too young for em right now, but I've tried everything from plastic baby rattles to keep them entertained when I'm sleeping, to keeping them outside of the cage for hours a day playing. Still ended up chewing a bit of their bed and fleece. Rough life, hopefully they stop when they grow up. :c

Yes! Especially in the length if you want to tuck it under. As for the sides, on all the pans, you could probably get away with an 1.5”, which is what I do now (this video is an older one). Most fleece won’t shrink, occasionally some if of it does, but it’s not by much. Also, I sew my liners with about a 1/2” seam

@@FerretTails thanks! But what about the cut out of the upper level pan? I mean the cut out where the ramp will be attached to.. the cut out is 5.5” x 9.5”. Do you add also some extra for 5.5” and 9.5”?🙂

@@santatoniga3579 Im sorry, I wasn’t very clear on that part of my answer. I add about an inch on the section where the cutout is (the L shape section). I also attached a link to a website that has one if the best pic/measurements for the cutout I have found. However, the measurements on the website, are only about .5” bigger than the actual pans, but I have found the seam allowance I use works better. Also, I’m not sure if I say this in this video, but for the cutout, to have your pattern fabric to be on top (showing once it’s in the cage) you have to make sure you cut the pan upside down opposite of how it lays in the cage, if not, the pattern will end up as the bottom part of the liner instead of the top. So I had a question I want to get a ferret so should I use bedding? Or like blankets?

I would use blankets and a litter box. Ferrets are pretty good at using a litter box. They have to be trained to do it, but they learn fast. And they would probably do much better with fleece type bedding. Walmart has fleece throws pretty cheap, they would be perfect if you didn’t want you spend a ton of money on cage liners! I don’t think you would need to and I wouldn’t recommend it. Their hair is how they regulate their body temperature and cutting it could negatively effect that.
