“Stop working out, you don’t need to work out anymore” WOW. I hate those types of mindsets 🙄 We should be working out for our entire lives. It’s good for weight loss and keeping in shape, yeah, but it’s SOO important just for your health in general too. Everyone should be staying active! I don’t care if I’m at my goal weight and have my dream body, I’ll never stop working out because it just makes me feel so good :)

I remember in school there was a group discussion about if there is anything we would change about ourselves and most girls in the discussion said yes and i was the only one who said no, some were angry, one was rolling their eyes and everyone else was in shock and OFFENDED that I actually am satisfied with myself and why shouldn't I be

I've had so many girls say I think I'm all that, my hairs not real etc then ask me for my skincare routine, where i shop for clothes and what I put in my hair, some people just hate on you because they want what you have but they can't admit it - There was a time where I was doing my hair and makeup for my college fashion show and i kid you not EVERYONE was just staring at me like the lies they've made up that my hair isn't real or that I wear loads of makeup was just proven wrong

I use to have really bad cystic acne and now it's completely gone and I have clear skin. I found out that dairy and sugar were causing all the breakouts and the moment I stopped eating those things my skin cleared up in 6 months. From there I layered on Korean skincare and its taken my skin up another notch. I get compliments now on my skin when I go out which is so crazy because of how bad it use to be. Please be patient ladies and watch what you eat. Beauty comes from within so take care of your body

I dropped dairy because it was upsetting my tummy, and my acne went away, too. I did not expect that and was paranoid about whether it would come back. Greasy foods and peanuts also seem to cause acne.

Thank you for making this video. I have been working out for the first time in my life starting back in December 9. I went 12 times in December and eight times in January so far and it’s only the 10th. I listen to your videos when I’m on the stairmaster. Hearing you talk about pretty foods and beluga mindsets really helps me to not be scared of exercising and eating healthy. And this year I am using my prettiness to get closer to God I feel like it is some type of disservice letting myself go and eating unhealthy and not exercising. Thank you so much.❤

im so happy you acknowledged kpop/ kdrama fashion. i love that aesthetic however alot of people in the black community accuse me of self hate when i dress like that or when i wear very slimming outfits. i hate being boxed in like that. thats the black supremacy conversation most people aren't ready for. If you ever make a deep dive video on black supremacy that would be dope :)

Yes🥳 9:08 I'm INFP so I'm trying to figure out how to be more social again without feeling socially awkward. Pretty PTSD.
@Khem_718 күн бұрын
I've read that INFP is also code for being *Neurodivergent (ADHD/ADD etc.)* - you're going to be socially awkward unless you allow yourself to become uncomfortable, and start talking to strangers to see what works socially for you and what definitely will not work for you🙃🥴- You will be surprised at yourself when you notice these people are smiling while they are having pleasant interactions with you - Shine through beautiful, and Work through your trauma to actualize the life you desire🌟

Finally, a level up channel that is encouraging women to level up but also not give one iota of a rip about the male gaze. Like, if we want to, fine, as long as that's what we WANT for ourselves. But I'm like you, I like feeling like a princess- you mentioned in another podcast that you like j-fashion, and I can't help but wonder, are you also into lolita fashion? Because I'm leveling up to comfortably fit into my dream dress and look not-ita in it. 🥰

Complete perfection is unattainable, you will always find something more to work on. Contentment at each stage is imperative. Especially if the insecure will be projecting, just like you described.

I’ve now listened to several of your videos on this topic and our internalized beauty standard. Your insight has been beyond helpful in how I’m piecing together my style and preferences. I think my pretty privilege is a cute and natural. My beauty standard is more along the soft glow aesthetic. I like the fit and lean aesthetic for myself, as I’m very into fitness and biohacking. I still want my fit body to have well defined curves to add more femininity, and maintain my soft appeal. As for where I need it acknowledged, I would say amongst my clients, since I am in sales. I definitely need guys to notice it, since I’d like to get into a (healthy and serious) relationship this year. I feel like I get noticed in most situations, but now I need a more targeted approach.
@Soutthdakotaa13 күн бұрын
That’s exactly mine! I have a “young” almost baby face and I think I need to lean more into that. I want my body to look more like Tyla but like you a bit more muscle tone. I have no clue if that can happen ahah but somewhat like that.
@colleenr213 күн бұрын
@@SoutthdakotaaI’ve thought about this some more, and I think I might vibe best with the Pilates Princess aesthetic. I think it embodies the youthful appearance and attitude I want to maintain, but with quite the focus on fitness. Maybe the Pilates Princess is also your aesthetic. And no, I don’t think you need to have Pilates as your main practice to fit into it. There is plenty of crossover in this look amongst the barre and sculpt crowd 😄. I’ve also been told so many times over the years that I’m a bit JAP-py, even though I’m not Jewish at all. I don’t mind being told I’m a JAP at all though. Now that I look back, those girls were my style reference growing up. I’ve also been called a (regular) princess endearingly by my mother, and more sardonically by some who don’t really know me. Early morning rambles, but I hope this helps you piece together more of your pretty privilege and internalized beauty standard!
