would more say oilers and stars series is fast, florida more like boston, with more skilled guys and way more toughness/grit, reinhart, barkov, bennett, tkachuk,Tarasenko, wouldn't say any of them are speedy guys, vs pat maroon sure, but would compare all those guys to like a charlie coyle, fast enough to burn you but not like a jake debrusk speed

I've been saying since 2018 that this team should rebuild and I still believe they should but they're obviously not so you'd expect with about 23 million in cap space they'd be all in on a top free agent but Sweeney has already said he's not gonna pursue Stamkos, Reinhart or Guentzel and if your not gonna shell out money for those 3 then they probably aren't gonna go after Lindholm either so wtf are tbey doing?

I have to correct you about Pierre-Luc Dubois hitting everything that moves. I watched a lot of Kings games this year and he was softer than a pillow. He seemed to be a more aggressive player in Columbus years ago. He has checked out mentally and the Bruins obviously shouldn't pursue him.

The Bruins need a real 1c, at least one other Top 6 forward at center or at wing and they could also use a legit, big, physical LD to pair with Peeke on their third pair to push Wotherspoon down to being their #7 So either trade for Necas (Ullmark & something else like Fabian Lysell) and or sign Elias Lindholm as a UFA center. If Necas and Lindholm don't pan out as options look at a guy like Chandler Stephenson Re-sign Debrusk or consider a guy like Tyler Toffoli at wing as probably a cheaper replacement Also take a look at Nakita Zadorov for their third pair or if he's too costly, a poor man's Zadorov like Marco Scandella And of course, re-sign Jeremy Swayman. That'd be a reasonable off-season UFA plan. 2024-25 Boston Bruins: Marchand - Lindohlm, Necas or Stephenson - Debrusk or Toffoli Zacha Coyle Pasta Frederic Geekie Poitras Lauko Beecher Brazeau Lindholm / McAvoy Lohrei / Carlo Zadorov or Scandela / Peeke Wotherspoon Swayman Bussi I wouldn't be quick to hold your breathe in terms of Don Sweeney spending their UFA money correctly and the reality is Bruins have too many talent and identity problems to solve that one UFA off-season can solve anyway. It is important to note that the last time Don Sweeney had a fair amount of cap space he spent nearly $13M on UFAs Nick Foligno and Derek Forbort as well as re-signing Matt Grzelyck. So there's that to consider. Don't look to that crap farm system Sweeney has built as it's in the toilet and has little help coming soon or even down the road Poitras, Beecher, Lauko, Lohrei, Swayman. These players aren't prospects anymore, they've graduated What's left in Bruins crap farm system after those guys? -Fabian Lysell, a player that's done nothing but lose value since being drafted -Georgii Merkulov, who doesn't posses NHL size or speed nor does he do anything "elite". Merkulov screams Jack Studnika Part II -Brett Harrison who was so slow they had to move him to wing from center. At his ceiling Harrison may be a bottom 6 wing someday That's it. Other than goalie Brando Bussi once you get past those three other guys every other Bruins prospect is either a late round lottery ticket that isn't likely to ever get cashed out or they've just been recently drafted and are years away from being anything (and most of those guys are late round long shots too!!!) But when you piss away all of your draft capital (Thanks Don Sweeney) and combine that with drafting and developing terribly, that eventually leads you to crap farm system After this upcoming draft 5 of the last 7 years the Bruins haven't drafted in the 1st round They don't have their 1st or 3rd round pick again until 2025 They don't posses their own 1st, 2nd and 3rd in any singular draft until 2026 again. After this year's draft the Bruins will also go 3 out of the last 4 years without a 2nd round pick and it will go to 4 out of the last 5 next year because they don't have a 2nd round pick again until 2026 So the Bruins have one of the NHL's worst farm systems, if not the worst and even worse news... It's likely only going to go further in the toilet because the have no draft capital!!! Speaking of that, the Bruins have the NHL's worst draft capital situation and it's not a close race The Bruins are literally down to praying Don Sweeney hits on every off season move he makes and every UFA he signs if the Bruins are truly going to be a competitive playoff team next season Good luck with that prayer Bruins Homers. I'm certainly not holding my breathe Well at least Sweeney's Bruins won a lot in the post season right so all that draft capital being pissed away and having a rotten farm system has been worth it right? I've been saying everything you've been saying since 2018-2019, they did nothing in terms of looking for replacements for Bergy and Krejci and we let them along with Tuukka retire without getting anything for them, it's just time to clean house and rebuild, things get stale and this roster isn't gonna bring us home another cup so why not fire Sweeney clean the whole roster out and get a ton of picks and prospects for guys like Marchy, Pasta, Lindholm etc

Bruins did great this year, but aren’t even close to being a Cup contender. Pastrnak, McAvoy, Lindholm are NEVER going to bridge the gap to a championship. You’ve got 3 players with 30% salary cap, then Swayman’s new contract will put 4 guys taking up 40% of cap. I just don’t see 88, 73 & 27 having the backbone that can lead/will Bruins to a Cup..
