I remember seeing I.M said that the lyrics shouldn't be taken literally, but more metaphorically. The whole song is about coping with loneliness and denying that you need people, when you really crave intimacy. It's worth mentioning that there's people on the floor together while he's on the bed by himself, looking pretty sad and desperate. "Kiss me down till I'm naked" could mean that he wants to be vulnerable and emotionally "naked" with people, but goes back and forth between saying "I don't need you" and "I need you". It goes with the meaning of Duality, where you can say you're okay but you really aren't on the inside. Leave it to I.M to make a song that's so real and relatable. Also, lyrics are super important with his new songs, so I can't wait for your album review! I think Love Killa came out in November? But you're right, it does feel way more recent than that.

I have theories about this video. I think he said a lot in a little time. Especially about the people around him, maybe media, Corp figures, fans and how their glances are "evil" when he's misbehaving (drinking at a club) but then when he's hurt, people turn a blind eye. He has to take his himself into consideration and keep his self in his own hands.

Changkyun explained how this song is very significant to him, because it reflects a difficult time in his life, where he wants to reflect that duality, to have to be happy, when inside he is not, and that no one around notices him. Then in the other songs he tackles duality and overcoming it, learning, growing, burning the past and overcoming. Of course, all with his particular and unique style and his charming and powerful voice. 5 songs from an album entirely made by him

All the tattoos are about an american artist whose name is Jean-MIchel Basquiat (an underground artist who worked on dichotomy and all sort of supports : graffiti, painting, music... and died young). I agree with you, it could have been a more sensual b-sides of AAL album ! But this is a very personal song for I.M and showing his own musical and artistic universe...

To me the visual switch at the end is inside his brain; the great statue of himself keeps getting broken down and another one pops up. It could mean that he has a lot of version within him that people try to “ruin” or break but in the end the part where he is holding himself in his hands he probably means that in the end it’s HIM only who has the control in their hands. He is the one who can help himself to be better. It’s a great duality bc it’s him who is making him lose himself but also the only way he can be saved is by his OWN hands! That’s my interpretation. The lyrics on the surface could sound shallow and about a break up but when you dig deep (as he himself said) it’s much more meaningful. So proud of him
