I disagree. I'm a photographer. I've taken pictures of people who look great in person but just can't seem to look as attractive in the photograph. That's because in reality they truly look as good as they saw themselves in the mirror and the camera is just a machine that has to make up how you look in reality. Evidence to the fact that the camera has setting that can lighten or darken the image which definitely plays a big part in "shaping" the image. This video asked "you ever wonder why you don't look as attractive in pictures than in person?", well an opposing question would be "you ever wonder why someone looks better in pictures than they do in person?", because if you know how to work lighting, angles, and camera settings, your pictures can look as or more glamorous as you do in the mirror.

WROOONG. Pictures are the fake ones. They capture that instant, one moment and the mirror or video shows the full image. Also our eyes are different than cameras, pixels and everything combined. Mirrors are wayy more accurate than photos. Imagine you're talking with your friend, or someone else. Tell me how do you see them. Of course you see them just like in the mirror and not the camera. Test it. Hold your camera in front of your friend and you'll see the difference in between camera and your vision.

Whereas, when you look in the mirror at yourself, you are seeing it through your eyes and not a whole image (set 2 mirrors into a v shape to do so), looking at a particular aspect (like, your nose), adjusting (moving your face/body), and it is a reflection (opposite of how others see us).

Mirrors are more accurate than phone cameras or low quality photos usually due to distortions that the camera imposes onto the photo. Part of the reason it does this is to fit the image to the camera, and human eyes do not do this. Just because you are seeing reverse does not mean that in real life certain facial features are greatly exaggerated to others, the image is just flipped.

Lemme give u the real logic now. When you see a sunset and you go take a picture of it with your phone, if you realized it’s really different then reality. So your camera changes the lighting of the picture and maybe more details. So no dw it’s normal, you look better in the mirror, and the mirror is how you really look like since it shows your reflection.

I'm sorry, I'm going to have to disagree with that photos are more accurate than what you see in the mirror statement. For those of us who have done online dating, how many times have you seen people that look totally different in person than what they look in their photos? Photos only capture certain things in certain moments, and can sometimes even distort. What you see with your own eyes in person live, I would imagine, is more accurate than what a piece of technology captures. But this is just me talking...

DON'T DESPAIR! The size of the camera lens, ie, 35 mm vs 70mm, etc, and distance from the lens to your face causes distortion. You might look weird from 5 feet away with a 35 millimeter lens but great (true) from 15 feet away with a 70 mm lens. Celebrity photos often look great due to a zoom lens, lighting, and distance, because the image is not distorted. I remember when my bff said to me that she thinks one of her eyes is slightly bigger than the other, but I genuinely haven't even noticed it until she pointed it out herself. I believe the mirror image is a more accurate representation of you. You can test it by looking at someone else in the mirror, then look at the real person. You will realize they look pretty much the same. However, if you take their photo and compare with real person, sometimes they may look a lot different.

So everything looked fine in mirrors or selfies , untill someone took a pic of me , omg it looks like a part of my face is melting or idk xD . At first I was like omg what is that , ew , does my face really look like that, wow how can people look at me ... then It took me a year or maybe more to love my face + realise that this is my face and it looks like the selfie version or mirror but flipped up . Anyway it's your face u need to accept it and love it the way it is , there is no melting face or idk, it's just a psychological stuff cz u you've been seeing your face flipped all the time through the mirror so why that u don't accept ur real face .... all what you need is to love yourself the way you are , ur face ,ur body , ur voice ...etc these stuff are what make you u , and make us different and special from each other , so be happy .
