Does this world have welding??? because if I were trying to build this in real life welding and bolts would be much easier from a construction standpoint. Maybe see if you can find a hexagonal punch, or a rod of hexagonal plastic that can be cut into bolt heads. You can find weld seam tutorials on military tank builds on youtube.

I'll never stop saying this, you deserve a lot more attention, loving this series! Btw you said that the fungi was being blamed for genetic mutations in humans right? So how about a mutation that caused some people to be born smaller, maybe with longer arms, kind of primate-like proportions, and they were shunned away by other Overs, cause we know how good humans are with anything different from what's "normal". So they had to hide in the forests and become nomads? Random idea lol keep this up, can't wait to see more!

Pine forests? Dumpsters? Mechanisms? A clan of reclusive, crafty, anthropomorphic, raccoon engineers (ala Rocket Raccoon) definitely live here! Maybe they are the only ones who can aide a hero on their main quest but are either apprehensive, jaded, or too depressed to want to help without the completion of a whole other side quest! Good luck finding them, and if you do, good luck catching them, that tower is a lot more mobile than it looks!

I could see a bunch of little moving buildings or even little moving shanty towns built like this. Maybe the inhabitants are crows, their minds pushed further along thanks to the Blight. After all, they already use tools in our world. Though I imagine it was only their minds that evolved, as the idea of intelligent birds welding together this tower and building a little fireplace to relax by is a nice little image in my mind.

Loved this build. At 14:47 I haven't laughed this hard in a long long time. There are a million ways to make trees. This being said, if you want to see some of the best model trees in roughly 1/87 scale I have ever seen, check out Boomer Diorama. He has an HO scale shelf layout and does some wonderful model building. he does some great weathering and painting using mainly vellejo or Tamyia paints, and does what he calls a wet on wet painting. His techniques can be used in multiple applications. He inspired me to pick back up my hobbies again after a decade or more break.

I like to think that in this setting, raccoons evolved enough to do human like stuff. like being more tech savvy, using tools, moving boxes, and wearing overals. Because racoons like to hang out in dumpsters and also live in the forest, they decided to combine the two and make a dunpster house. The best of both worlds!

Probably a bit late but one possible idea is the resident of each layer is in charge of something. Like the one in the top dumpster with the water tower is essentially in charge of keeping whatever water system maintained. Because they're literally the closest to it they're in charge of collection, purification and plumbing. And whoever is in the bottom house would be in charge of the engines and treads etc. And whoever's in the middle house could be in charge of either the structure and giving it maintained or the general jack of all trades. Or might even be in charge of resource gathering like hunting or firewood or whatever.
