what life is ACTUALLY like for average people in their 20s. A Vlog.

I know life is different for everyone and there’s no one way to live, however, this video is about my life as a 26-year-old immigrant living in the UK. A dreamer who has found herself here in this moment. Like many people in their 20s, I crave genuine depictions of life that don’t make us feel like we are doing something wrong, like we are not enough, or like there’s something we need to constantly chase. This video came up on my recommended and I'm so glad I clicked on it. This was really comforting and the way you put things into words is beautiful. I'm 24 and graduating soon with a degree in a field I'm not even sure I want to work in. I've been feeling so lost and lonely and like everyone else is succeeding in their lives and achieving their dreams. I'm not even sure if I have any dreams. But maybe it's okay to be a bit lost right now. Like you said - we should honor our journeys and trust that we are where we're supposed to be in this moment.

12:30 Pearl. i- you literally took the words right out of my mouth. i genuinely did not ever think i would ever find someone who COMPLETELY understands and has gone through what I’ve gone through. Thank you so much for expressing urself so vulnerably. I’m currently in a safe place, i too had to escape/leave my last spot and yet, i seem to have lost hope and dare i say, that “sparkle” in my eyes and self. while, I’m still trying to heal and unlearn all my flight or fight reflexes, i can’t help but worry when or even if i’ll ever be as hopeful as i once was. either way, thank you for this video.

I literally died when you decided against following the directions not the packaging of your last meal. Basically, skipped a few steps. I’m sure it turned out just fine ❤ I have a nasty habit of skipping steps on almost everything and I just learned a hard lesson. I tried a new hair product and all my hair just melted right off 😅 gonna learn from that experience, for sure, but it was just funny to know, 1. I’m not alone in skipping steps but 2. Good to know that at least you skipped steps more responsibly 😊 this vlog was such fun

OMG *Pearlieee* You said that you were a private person and you are putting your life online and I feel the exact same thing. I mean, I’m a total extrovert in general. I share my feelings openly, I don’t suffer from social fatigue whenever I socialize but believe it or not, I’ve spent most of my time in solitude. Apart from living with my bf turned husband for the past 15 years. My entire life has been, for the most part, *verrrrry* private. No friends, no family. No one outside of my husband calls me to check in. Only 6 people have ever been to the places I’ve lived in 10 years. So I’m not exaggerating how private my life has been and then I discovered that ordinary people vlog about their life last September. My husband encouraged that I vlog since I’m been an avid journaler since I was 8 (I’m now 36) so I decided to try it. And now, 6 months later, I’ve been exposing my entire life, my apartment, parts of my relationship online and it’s just wild. So wild. No one would ever imagine how privately I’ve lived my life so I completely understand you. So so much. Lovely vlog❤

@@pearlieee crazy enough, I never had any dreams of being an actor but I stumbled accidentally into acting 5 years ago and took advantage of the uncomfortable situation rather than running from it. I retired from it already because i got much of what I needed from it but one of the things I learned was *allowing ourselves to be seen*. Such a valuable lesson. Another big philosophy that I discovered on my own when I was in my early twenties was always *externalize your thoughts and feelings*. Never keep them inside. Vlogging is like *externalizing* on crack. I love it. All the love you *YOUR* journey ♥️🤗
